Sometimes the circumstances of life can be so overwhelming that we may begin to  lose all hope for the future we prayed and believed God would have ahead for us.  It may be a husband or wife who may choose to leave us, a child who chooses to rebel against the spiritual foundation of Christ, that we tried to build for them to put their lives upon, a health crisis, or a number of things that Satan will use in an attempt to wear us down and cause us to turn from God.

When we  choose to follow Christ, we must remember that God warns us in His Word that our faith will be tested to prove if it is genuine or not. (1 Peter 1:7)  No matter what may come our way on the road called life, when we reflect upon all that Jesus went through on the cross to free us from sin and eternal torment in the fires of hell,  enabling us to have a personal relationship with Him, this should be enough to keep us strong, so that we can praise Him through the storms of life.

Let us make the choice to allow God to use the sufferings we go through, to point others to the amazing grace and peace that comes from Christ alone, so that those who have not yet come to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord, will see His strength and peace in us, and desire to know Him too.  That will make the sorrow and suffering worth it all.

No matter what we may go through in life, He is always worthy of all our praise!

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”         James 1:2-4

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.  In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.  Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”   1 Peter 1: 3-9

“But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.”  Job 23:10

Your love is what sustains me, through my darkest days,

When my dreams seem to have been shattered, still I will give You praise,

When fear and uncertainty try to seize my mind,

In Your Word and presence, peace and hope I again do find,

When spoken words attempt to crush, the hope that’s in my heart,

It’s Your Word I choose to cling to, and faith again begins to start,

When circumstances move in like clouds, that blacken my dreams for better days,

It’s then I choose to trust in You, and still I will give You praise,

When the ‘enemy’ seeks to unravel my faith, and attempts to lead me in a life that

It’s then I choose to dwell on the glory of Your cross, and still…I will give You praise.
