**UPDATE 12/30/12** Lord willing, by tomorrow night I hope to post a poem that I am at this very moment in the process of  writing, entitled ‘OUT OF THE DARKNESS AND INTO THE LIGHT,’  which has to do with what many of us are sadly experiencing in our churches today.  The information I want to add to my previous post will take too much time, which I don’t have enough of at this point.  Lord willing, if I don’t have the time within the next few weeks to update my previous post, I will add the information during the first week of February when I have some time off of work.

**DECEMBER 24TH 2012** I am very sorry that I have not been able to update my previous post yet as promised, but because I  work full time, trying to keep things in order in my home (not to mention preparing for Christmas) has to be higher up on my  priority list right now.

Today I decided to take a break from the somewhat discouraging, but necessary and important task of being a gentle, but strong and silent voice of warning to all of you concerning what’s happening in many of our churches today, in order to try and help us all to get our focus on the main ‘Reason’ for this season, and that is so we can praise and thank God for the gift of His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ.

So, please take some time with me now to look into God’s Word at some of the Messianic prophecies in Scriptures concerning Jesus Christ, who was (and is) God, wrapped in human flesh, and who entered our world on that silent, holy night — whenever it actually took place — to willingly one day lay down His life (John 10:18) to bear our sin and take upon Himself  the wrath that God intended for us because of our sin and rebellion against Him.  I pray the truth of His Word will fill your heart with joy this Christmas season.

I pray also for those of you who have not yet come to understand God’s mercy and grace.  The greatest gift of God’s love and forgiveness can be yours, if you will only turn from your sin and no longer depend upon your own ‘righteous acts which are like filthy rags’ (Isaiah 64:6) before a completely Holy God, but that you would place your trust in the finished work of Jesus when He died in your place and mine to become the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

“This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”  (1 John 4:9,10)

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”         (Romans5:8)

“For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.”  (Romans 8:3)

Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”  (John 1:12)

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”  (John 3:36)

“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”  (1 John 5:12)

“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared , He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but because of His mercy.  He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.”  (Titus 2:4-7)

“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.”                   (1 Peter 3:18)
