On January 22nd, two of my three wonderful nephews — born of two separate sisters — will be celebrating their birthdays.  January 22nd is also the day, when in 1973, abortion — what is seen as the murder of an unborn child in the eyes of many — was made legal in our country, even though the debate still continues as to what extent it is still considered ‘legal.’  And sadly, on January 22nd of this year many will be ‘celebrating’ the Courts ruling that gave women this right to abort their child –if they choose to do so.

In many churches across America this Sunday — January 19th 2014 — is set apart as ‘Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.’  Many churches will have guest speakers who run crisis pregnancy centers and homes that take young pregnant women in to provide for their needs if they choose to have their babies instead of choosing to end their baby’s life out of fear, force, or because of the deceptive information and literature they were given at abortion clinics.  At many crisis pregnancy centers they also provide free ultrasounds for these young pregnant women.  And almost 90% of these young women change their minds about having an abortion after viewing their unborn child because they realize at that moment that within their womb is not a “blob of tissue” as they were told by the counselors at abortion clinics, but a living, active baby.

These Crisis Pregnancy Centers also provide information to these young women to consider the option of putting their child up for adoption  if they know they will not be able to care for their child, and they want to provide the best home possible for their child.  Those who work at these centers also assist these young women in this process if  they choose to make this sometimes, heart-wrenching decision.

So with all of that in mind, I will be posting some thought-provoking pictures I found on the NATIONAL PRO-LIFE ALLIANCE’S Facebook page, and tomorrow I will also add some YouTube videos with testimonies of women who have had abortions, women who have survived an abortion, and even testimonies of those who once worked at an abortion clinic as my way of  taking a stand for the lives of these precious unborn babies around the world who cannot speak for themselves.  Millions of babies have been brutally killed by the horrible procedures that end their lives since abortion was made legal (as well as those babies who were savagely killed before it was legal), and millions of women endure years of emotional and mental trauma as a result of guilt and the lies they were told by the abortionist and the counselors who worked at the clinics where these women had their abortions.  And sadly, some of these women not only suffer from emotional and mental trauma, but also many women even die as a result of an abortion –a legal abortion.  There are at least two victims in every abortion; the baby/babies and the woman.

Every life is precious to God, for He is the Creator of each child –no matter how it was conceived, or what disability it may have been born with.

“You have searched me, LORD, and You know me.  You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways.  Before a word is on my tongue You, LORD,  know it completely.  You hem me in behind and before, and You lay Your hand upon me.  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.  Where can I go from Your Spirit?  Where can I flee from Your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths , You are there.  If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.  If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You.  For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.  Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.  How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God!  How vast is the sum of them!  Were I to count them they would outnumber the grains of sand–”            (Psalm 139:1-18)

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.”  (Proverbs 31:8)
