Welcome to another ‘Survey Saturday.’  This is the second in a new series of posts which I will be presenting to you once a month, (Lord willing) on the last Saturday of each month, to give those of you who read this blog from time to time, an opportunity to submit your requests as to what you would like to see me address on this blog in the future. Would you like me to write more poems? Then please vote accordingly, and consider leaving me a comment as to what topic you’d like me to write one about, and I will consider writing on that topic which I will always write from a Christian perspective.

Do you have some concerns about a certain pastor or teacher that you have been listening to, or something they are teaching or have taught about in the past? Then please place your vote and leave a comment, as well, letting me know who it is that you have concerns about, and why, and I will be happy to do some research on that pastor, teacher, or topic, and focus on that particular person or teaching in the new series of posts that, Lord willing, I will soon be writing once a month on Fridays, entitled, ‘FALSE TEACHER FRIDAY.’ I may share an in depth report on that certain pastor or teacher, or I may simply write briefly about the person or teaching and then include links to some good posts addressing that person or teaching that have been written by other Christians who are well respected and trusted. However, I continue to urge you to always  test everything you read and hear against God’s Word to see if it is true or not (Acts 17:11) –including everything that I write. Please keep in mind that no matter how many years a pastor or teacher has been preaching or teaching, or how well respected they may be, we must continue to examine the Scriptures daily to see if what is being said (and done by those who claim to speak for God) is true,’ (Acts 17:11) because God’s Word is filled with warnings about false teachers! (Matthew 24:4-11, Acts 20:26-31, 1 Timothy 4:1, 2 Timothy 4:1-4, 2 Peter 2:1-3, to name just a few).

Maybe you have some concerns after reading a certain book that left you feeling very troubled, and you’re searching for some information on the author to see if what they are teaching is Biblical or not. Share your concerns and the name of the author and book, and I will do some research and write a post addressing the author and book in question. I am considering the possibility of writing some book reviews later this year –if time allows. I am not an expert on any certain topic, by any means, but I am definitely a Berean and a detective-at-heart and will gladly do all that I can — with God’s help — to give you some helpful information to put those troublesome thoughts to rest, and to encourage you in the process.

Thank you very much for stopping by! And thank you very much for taking some time out of your busy day to read my posts and poems! God bless you!

Here is the first in a new category of posts that I have entitled, ‘TESTIMONY TUESDAY.’ Lord willing, at least once a month on Tuesdays, whenever I come across a video or an article that either presents a Biblical testimony of someone coming to the understanding  of the true  gospel, or a testimony of someone who was set free from a cult or some form of spiritual deception, etc., I will post it for you with the hope that it will bless and encourage you, and, above all, so that God would receive glory and honor for setting these people free.

It is also my hope and prayer that when I share these testimonies with you on Tuesdays, God will use His Word, and the Biblical truth presented in these testimonies to set many other people free from the same bondage and spiritual deception that the people in the videos and articles I choose to share with you have been set free from.

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:16,17)NIV

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans  10:17) KJV

“Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth.” (John 17:17) NIV

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God– not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:8,9) NIV

“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” (Galatians 2:21) NIV

“As John was put in prison, , Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. The time has come,” He said. The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the gospel!” (Mark 1:14,15) NIV

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord…” (Acts 3:19,20)

“As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” “Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver and gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God. Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God. For “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers, and the flowers fall, but the Word of the Lord stands forever.” (1 Peter1:14-25) NIV

Today’s ‘Testimony Tuesday’ features Camille Jolly, a precious, humble woman from France. She was an  atheist who then became involved in Roman Catholicism, and finally came to know the true Biblical Jesus! So, when time allows, grab a hot cup of tea or a bottle of refreshing, thirst-quenching water, sit down with your Bible to test what is said in light of Scripture, and enjoy listening to what God has done — and continues to do — in and through her life for His glory! (Each time she shared her testimony in the videos below, she added more details, so it was a joy and a blessing to watch every one of them. I hope you will choose to watch all of them, as well).

Thank you for stopping by! And thank you very much for taking the time to read my posts and poems. God bless you!

Starting this Tuesday, Lord willing, I will be presenting a new series of posts to you at least once a month on Tuesdays, entitled, ‘TESTIMONY TUESDAY;‘ whenever I come across a video or an article that either presents a Biblical testimony of someone coming to the understanding of the true Biblical gospel, or a testimony of someone being set free from some form of spiritual deception, etc., I will post it for your encouragement, and, above all, in order to give glory and honor to God for setting these people free. It is also my hope and prayer that God will use the Biblical truth presented in these testimonies to set many others free from the same bondage and spiritual deception that the people in these videos and articles have been set free from.

Also, Lord willing, every month or so, on Thursdays, I will be starting a new series of posts entitled, ‘TEACHING THURSDAY.’  In these posts I will be sharing either a video or an article in which a  *Biblically sound teacher *(Biblically sound because what they say and teach lines up with the truth of God’s Word,  Acts 17:11) will either expose an unbiblical movement or teaching, or a practice that is leading many Christians astray. It is my hope and prayer, that by doing so, many more Christians will come to realize the importance of testing the words of men (and women) against the truth of the Word of God –the Bible, so they will not be deceived.

Since there are so many Christians — as well as people who sincerely believe themselves to be Christians — who have been deceived by many teachings that are popular these days, I wanted to find a way to share these things with you in very brief posts. My time has become even more limited lately not only due to some circumstances involving a member of my family, but also because of  a good possibility that, Lord willing, I will be starting a new job soon, since it doesn’t seem likely (at least at this point in time), that I will be getting a job writing from a Christian perspective, as I was hoping and praying for.

And, finally, Lord willing, once a month on Fridays, I will be presenting another series of posts entitled, ‘FALSE TEACHER FRIDAY.’ This is in response to the one and only person who was kind enough to take the time to respond to my ‘SURVEY SATURDAY’ post that I wrote at the end of February asking readers of this blog what they would like to see me share on this blog in the weeks and months ahead. So thank you very much for responding, whoever you are. 🙂

It’s not to late for you, dear reader; next Saturday I will be posting another ‘SURVEY SATURDAY.’ So please consider checking back here next Saturday, March 28th, and reply to the survey that I’ll be posting. Don’t worry…I am unable to see the name of the person who votes, (although sometimes I wish I could). 🙂 Please consider sharing more details on what you would like me to write about, rather than just simply voting; the more details you provide, the better I can address your concerns or write a poem on the topic of your choice, etc.

Lord willing, I also wanted to let you know that I’ll still be continuing to share more ‘WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY’ posts with you in the future, but I wrote this particular post in order to inform those of you who read this blog from time to time what you can expect in the weeks and months ahead.

For those of you who may be checking back here to see if I completed my post comparing the Catechism of the Catholic Church to God’s Word, the Bible, which I have appropriately entitled, ‘ARE YOU GOING TO BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD? OR THE WORD OF MAN? — COMPARING GOD’S WORD, THE BIBLE, WITH THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH — LEARN TO DISCERN,’ I wanted to let you know that I’ve started writing it, but unless a miracle takes place and I am able to settle some other serious matters that I am working on, it will take me at least a few more months of working on it before that post is completed properly. I want to do as thorough of a job as possible so that people can clearly see why many Christians have serious concerns about the teachings of Catholicism. I don’t want to quickly write that post just in order to meet a deadline; my desire is to present Biblical truth clearly so that I might glorify God, and so that those who are deceived — as I once was — by the teachings of Catholicism, might see the teachings they have placed their complete trust in all their lives become shattered into pieces when exposed by the light and truth of God’s Word, so that they might come to know the truth, and so that the truth will set them free.

Thank you for stopping by! And thank you very much for taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

Life can become extremely overwhelming: a loss of a job, financial problems, relationship problems, health issues, concern for loved ones, desiring loved ones to come to know who Jesus truly is so they might have joy and the assurance of salvation…the list can go on and on! At times it may seem that all we deal with are problems, one after another, many even coming at the same time which may cause us to begin losing our peace and hope! Truth be told, that’s how I’ve been feeling lately. Not only because of certain  circumstances in my life right now, but also because of many of the things I have been writing about recently, and therefore I found the need to express some of my feelings through the following poem.

As always, when I find myself beginning to lose hope, I must make the choice to put aside my feelings and choose to rely on God’s grace that is always sufficient, and His strength that is always made perfect in my weakness. When times like this come, I find my hope, strength, and encouragement in His Word. Soon I am then able to, once again, fight against the battles that rage all around me as I hide myself in Him and make the choice to place my trust in the fact that He is still in control even when the circumstances of life try to say otherwise. It is God alone who restores my hope as I reflect upon His faithfulness to me in the past, and the ultimate sacrifice He made by sending His one and only Son — Jesus Christ, God in the flesh — who lived the perfect, sinless life that I could never live, to become the perfect, once for all sacrifice, by giving His life in my place to reconcile me, a wretched sinner, to a completely Holy God. It is dwelling on the good news of the gospel and the risen Christ, that enables me to once again press on.

If you, dear reader, have not come to the point of placing your trust in the complete and finished work of Jesus Christ’s once for all sacrifice on the cross for your sins, I encourage you to get a Bible and begin reading the Gospel of John, the Book of Romans, Hebrews, Colossians, Ephesians, and wherever else God’s Holy Spirit may direct you. God’s Word, the Bible, is not a book one can understand with their intellect, but rather it is understood spiritually as God’s Holy Spirit opens your understanding to see the truth and to expose false teachings that have blinded you from seeing the truth. Ask God to open your mind to the Scriptures that you might come to know the truth and have hope and strength to face life, one day at a time, and have the assurance of life eternal in heaven.

Thank you for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read my poems and posts.

God Bless You

“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)

“We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves, but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us.” (2 Corinthians 1:8b-10a)

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  (Romans 15:13)

“Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I will disown him before My Father in heaven. Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn ” ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’ — a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ ” (Matthew 10:32-36)

“I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering, becoming like Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.  Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:10-14)

“The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God,  for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9,10)

rainbow-blue-sky-clouds-1-2-4-1I found the rainbow/ocean picture on Photobucket and used the ‘edit’ feature to add the Scripture.

You’re my joy in the midst of deep sorrow

You’re my hope when I see no hope for tomorrow

You’re my peace when all of life seems so out of control

You’re my strength that calms my weary soul

Jesus, You’re my everything

You’re my hiding place when it seems like no safe place can be found

You know what weighs heavy upon my heart without me uttering a sound

You’re my Savior, my God, the one who reigns on high

You’re aware of all things; nothing escapes Your watchful eye

Jesus, You’re my everything

Your promise to those who love You, is that You will work all things together

for good

Your children, who are called according to Your purposes, rest in this truth

as we should

You’re my provider, my covering, my soon coming King

You’re the only one who now gives me a reason to rejoice and sing

Jesus, You’re my everything

Your Holy Spirit comforts me when I feel I just can’t go on any longer

Your Word gives me wisdom that encourages me and makes me feel stronger

Your sinless life, and the blood You shed unto death in my place, washed all

my sin and guilt away

Your resurrection gives me true hope and assurance, that enables me to face

the trials of each new day

Jesus, You’re my everything

Our world is growing spiritually darker, because many reject what You’re

unchanging Word has to say

All the evidence surrounds us, and not all things will change for the better

when we pray

We can never bring peace to this broken, sin-filled world, no matter how hard

we may try

Your Word is clear; there will be no peace — or unity — until You, the Prince

of Peace, returns and reigns on high

Until my final breath, or until I’m caught up to meet You in the air, from the

depths of my heart I will say

–Jesus, You’re my everything

Capture Eyes with tears 1Welcome to another post in a new series of posts that I will be doing (Lord willing) at least once a month on Wednesdays so that I can make you all aware of some important information that I come across on the Internet that you may not have heard about. I have been trying to think of something that I could write on a regular basis that would be short and to the point (at least I’ll try to be), and since I am a detective-at-heart and desire to make you all aware of the importance of testing things that pastors and teachers say (and do) in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11), the idea to do these posts — as well as the name — came to my mind in November of 2014, based on Acts 20:26-31:

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”

So with that in mind, here are some of the things I’d like to make you all aware of on this Wednesday:

At the end of January 2015 there was another ‘AWAKENING REVIVAL.’ When time allows, consider watching the following videos and test everything that was said at this revival — and how it was presented — in light of Scripture, and keep these questions in mind: Would you classify what took place at Celebration Church as a revival? Or would you simply classify it more as entertainment? Was God the one who received the praise at this revival? Or was the focus on the pastors who spoke at this ‘revival?’

The theme of Perry Noble’s message was, “Stop allowing the world to #hashtag you.” The passage of Scripture he based his message on was from Matthew 11:28 which he finally got around to reading when he was 22:47 minutes into his message. He introduced this Scripture by saying, “These are words from a guy named Jesus. I love his stuff.”  *Sigh* :/

When trying to warn other Christians about the false teachings of certain popular pastors and teachers, sadly, the most frequent reply we end up receiving from them is, “Don’t judge.” But does the Bible really tell Christians we are not to judge? Answers in Genesis has a good article HERE that is filled with many Scriptures to give you a clear Biblical understanding about making judgments.

Here is a post packed with many Scriptures concerning the Trinity that should have been presented to T D Jakes at ER2! Great information also to have on hand when trying to share Biblical truth with Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons when they come to your door. Please don’t close the door in their faces! Give them at least a few minutes of your time because they need someone who will care enough to share the truth in love with them. Only the truth of God’s Word can shatter the darkness and deception that holds them captive. Sharing your testimony is also a powerful way to present the truth to them. God will use it to plant a seed in their heart, and your loving words will not be forgotten.

Did you ever wonder, “How could Noah fit the animals on the ark and care for them?” Well ‘Answers In Genesis’ has an article that can help you with that. And you can read it right HERE

If you’re concerned about how the occult is influencing your children because of the many books, video games, movies, and t.v. programs that are saturated with occultic messages, Lighthouse Trails has a new booklet written by Berit Kjos that will help you learn how to protect your children. You can read it HERE.

Thank you for stopping by! And thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems. God bless you!

“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” (Psalm 19:7) KJV

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord…” (Acts 3:19) NIV

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16) KJV

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” (James 4:7-10) NIV

“Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment.”                 (John 7:24) NIV

“I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people– not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. Expel the wicked man from among you.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-13) NIV

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) NIV
