Capture Test the spirits 1 John 4 1

Have you unknowingly been lured into New Age mystical practices by teachers claiming that certain “new ways to pray” will bring you closer to God? Have you signed up for classes in Spiritual Formation, or has your pastor been preaching on it? Have you been involved in “ChristianYoga, Centering Prayer, Contemplative Prayer, or Lectio Divina? Well, this series of posts in the new Category of posts that I have entitled, ‘MYSTICISM MONDAYS,‘ will attempt to not only peel back the layers of the many forms of spiritual deception that have been entering the church in order to reveal them to you as being lies of the enemy of our souls, but also the intention of these posts is to present you with the truth of God’s Word in order to expose the spiritual dangers of these practices.

Lord willing, at least once a month on a Monday, I will be sharing teachings with you from Christian experts on the subject, some of whom have even been personally involved with these dangerous practices. All of these teachings that I will be presenting to you will focus on many Scriptures; those who speak on these topics will not just be talking about these practices, because it’s only the truth of God’s Word that will expose the dangers of these practices and set a deceived person free.

Lord willing, when time allows, I will be writing many posts in the future zeroing in on specific Christian programming and Christian teachers who are promoting these deceptive practices, (I recently posted a very lengthy one concerning Moody Radio which I updated last weekend, and when time allows I will complete it by adding notes that I took as I listened to many of Moody’s, now cancelled, Midday Connection programs) but since my time is getting rather limited these days because of other important responsibilities that I now have, I will oftentimes simply be sharing a video or an article with you.

When time allows, I truly hope and pray that you will take the time to listen to these messages or read these articles, as well as read the upcoming posts that — Lord willing — I will be writing on these important topics so that you can be aware of these false teachings that are deceiving many Christians –possibly even you!

Please be sure that you test the teachings of all those whom you listen to against Scripture as God’s Word shows us that we are to do (Acts 17:11) so that you will never be deceived.

I hope and pray that all of you who are Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ are constantly testing what your pastors and teachers are presenting to you against the truth of God’s Word as we are shown in Scripture to do (Acts 17:11) no matter how long they have been in ministry, because many pastors and teachers are now embracing and presenting New Age mystical practices to their people through things such as yoga, as well as  though meditation practices which often times are found in Spiritual Formation classes and are referred to as Contemplative Prayer, silent prayer, Lectio Divina, Taize, etc.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

Mysticism in the church is one of the many ways that Satan is now using to bring about the oneness and unity that is being promoted in the world to bring about the One World Religion. Sadly, many pastors and teachers lack discernment and have now become tools in Satan’s hands to promote these mystical practices. We must keep in mind what God says in His Word:

“Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Are you a follower of  a man (or woman) and their ministry? Or are you a follower of Jesus Christ? Will you be a Berean and examine the Scriptures daily to see if what they are saying is true? Will you walk in the light and in truth and leave, if necessary, if Yoga and other mystical practices  are being promoted at your church? Or are the relationships that you have developed over the years while you have attended your church more important to you than being obedient to God and the truth presented in His Word? True followers of Jesus Christ will follow Him –no matter what the cost.

“For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.” (2 Corinthians 2:9)

Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

On February 5, 2016, Larry DeBruyn of GUARDING HIS FLOCK was a guest on Tom McMahon’s radio program Search The Scriptures 24/7.  The title of their discussion was Have You Contemplated Your Spirituality? Some of the things they discussed were Contemplative Prayer, solitude, silence, the desert fathers, what is true spirituality, and more. Everything was examined in light of Scripture, including the life of Jesus to see if any of these practices were in any way presented in Scripture as an example for us to follow.

When time allows I hope you will listen to these programs so that you might grow in your understanding of how mysticism is rapidly entering many churches these days and leading many astray. Please don’t allow yourself to be one of the many who are being deceived by these spiritual practices that attempt to lure you in through your emotions. Stand fast against the wiles of the devil! (Ephesians 6:11)

For those of you who would rather read the articles, or for those of you who may have some type of a hearing problem, you can read Part 1 and Part 2 of their discussion at the links below which are actually the transcripts of their conversations.

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:10-17)

“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.” (Matthew 24:3,4)

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”         (1 Timothy 4:1)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men. after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

“Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:26-31)

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.” (2 Peter 2:1)

Welcome to another post in the Category of posts that I have entitled, ‘False Teacher Friday – Learning The Importance of Being a Berean.’ Lord willing, once every month or so, I will be presenting you with information that you need to be aware of concerning certain popular Christian teachers or pastors, and information concerning some teachers or pastors that are not so well known. Their teachings will be misleading at the least, and heretical at the worst. If embraced, some of these teachings will lead you to a wrong understanding of Scripture, and others will lead you away from Biblical truth and the true Jesus Christ and into the world of mysticism and the occult.

Some of the teachers that I will be writing about will not be completely false, which is why their false teachings often go unnoticed, and this is what makes them so extremely dangerous. Their teachings can be over 97% Biblical truth, but if just that little bit of error is overlooked because we are not testing what they say in light of Scripture as God’s Word shows us we need to be doing (Acts 17:11), then slowly we will be led astray because we have placed our trust in man, instead of in God and the truth of His Word.

Capture Because my pastor told me so will not be a valid excuse

One day we will all stand before God, and each of us will be responsible for what we choose to believe as truth. If we clearly refuse to test the teachings of those we listen to in light of Scripture and ignore the many warnings that God has given us about false teachers and how some of them would arise from among us and we end up being led astray, then we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Some of these pastors and teachers that I will be writing about may be at the very top of your ‘Favorite List,’ but if you truly love Jesus and the truth of His Word, then you will be willing to hear the truth as hard as it may be for you to hear it at first. I am probably going to lose some followers to this blog because of what I may be writing in the months ahead, but as a Christian who loves God and His Word and who desires to please God and not man, and as a Christian who desires to expose error and wake Christians up to the extreme importance of being followers of Jesus Christ and not being a follower of any man (or woman) and their ministry, I must speak out and not remain silent. All I ask is that you would please pray for discernment, read and listen to all the information that I will be sharing with you, and examine the Scriptures to see if what these pastors and teachers say is true or not. The decision you make next will be entirely up to you. But you can never say, “No one cared enough to warn me.”

Now for today’s False Teacher alert: (Updated Saturday, 2:45 P.M. 2/27/16).

LEARNING TO DISCERN TRUTH FROM ERROR

A VERY STRONG WARNING CONCERNING JOHN HAGEE, SENIOR PASTOR OF CORNERSTONE CHURCH IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS

Capture John Hagee - False teaching about Jesus

One of the clearest ways to determine if someone is a false teacher or not is to look very carefully at what they teach concerning who Jesus Christ is. Do they deny His deity? Do they say that He was just a good man, a great teacher, or that He was a prophet? Or do they teach that He was God wrapped in human flesh who came to this earth to live the perfect, sinless life that we could never live so that He could become the perfect sacrifice for our sins, and that He came to give His life as a ransom for all men?

Those of us who are truly  born-again Christians believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that every word is God-breathed.  Therefore, we need to be certain that we test the teachings of every pastor and teacher against Gods’ Word to see if what is being said is true. (Acts 17:11)

Let’s take a close look at God’s Word to see what it has to say about who Jesus is, and what His purpose was in coming to this earth:

Jesus is God in the flesh:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.  But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-14)

“Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:6-11)

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.  And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” (Colossians 1:12-20)

Jesus claimed to be God and many realized what He was saying.

“And again He entered into Capernaum, after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and He preached the word unto them. And they come unto Him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto Him for the press, they uncovered the roof where He was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, He said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, He said unto them, “Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, “Thy sins be forgiven thee;” or to say, “Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?” But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, “Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.” And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.” (Mark 2:1-12)

“Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well. So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute Him. In His defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making himself equal with God.” (John 5:14-18)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.”       (John 8:51-59)

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from My Father; for which of those works do ye stone Me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” (John 10:27-33)

Why did Jesus come?

“Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Mathew 20:28)

“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:3,4)

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlasting. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (1 Timothy 1:15-17)

“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.” (Hebrews 9:24-26)

Wherefore when He cometh into the world, He saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared Me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when He said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said He, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” (Hebrews 10:5-10)

“And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:2)

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:9,10)

Jesus was the sinless, spotless Lamb of God:

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto Him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29)

“For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21) NOTE: Please consider reading the following article by Ron Rhodes in which he gives a good Biblical explanation regarding Jesus becoming sin for us, because many have completely distorted this verse and teach that Jesus actually became sin. If that were true then Jesus would not have been the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. He bore our sins (1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-6) but He did not become sin itself. –  HOW WAS JESUS “MADE” SIN

“Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth.” (1 Peter 2:22)

“And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin.” (1 John 3:5)

Sadly, I must admit that many years ago, because of my deep interest in Bible prophecy, I used to listen to John Hagee, who is the Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Church in  because of his strong emphasis on end time events and Bible prophecy. However, upon discovering that the Christian movie that I had rented for my children to watch, that his ministry, along with another Christian ministry had produced had swears in it, I shut it off and returned the movie and requested a refund after giving them my explanation. I then decided that since his ministry chose to compromise by imitating the world instead of honoring God with their message by reflecting His Holiness with what they presented in their movie, that I would no longer listen to him. I had no idea what he actually taught about Jesus until years later when I came across this video! You will hear John Hagee — in his own words  — say some of the following shocking things:

“In Defense of Israel will shake Christian theology. It Scripturally proves that the Jewish people as a whole did not reject Jesus as Messiah.”

“It will also prove that Jesus did not come to earth to be the Messiah.”

“Since Jesus refused by word and deed to claim to be the Messiah, how can the Jews be blamed for rejecting what was never offered?”

In Luke 19:41-44, Jesus wept over Jerusalem, God’s chosen people, knowing the destruction that would come upon them:

“And when He was come near, He beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, “If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! But now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.”

In Matthew 23:37 Jesus said the following:

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.”

Another totally heretical teaching that John Hagee presents (that I forgot to include when I published this post two minutes before midnight last night, but came to my mind as my head hit my pillow at around 1:00 A.M. this morning), is that he says there is no need to preach salvation to the Jewish people because they already have a relationship with God, and that their salvation comes through the Old Covenant. Some of his actual words are as follows:

“I’m not trying to convert the Jewish people to the Christian faith.”

“In fact, trying to convert Jews is a waste of time.”

Here is the article that I first discovered on Facebook in January 2016 that revealed some of John Hagee’s heretical teachings to me:

SORRY PASTOR HAGEE, BUT THE JEWISH PEOPLE NEED JESUS FOR SALVATION TOO

Here are some of the things that John Hagee has said. I quick captured these quotes from an article entitled, JOHN HAGEE AND DUAL COVENANT THEOLOGY – TELLING THE JEWS THEY DON’T NEED JESUS that was posted on Now The End Begins. These quotes can be found in John Hagee’s book, In Defense of Israel.

Capture John Hagee In His Own Words - Now The End Begins(SOURCE) <–Click here to read the entire article.

According to the following information that I found on Facebook John Hagee has actually been teaching this for at least a few years now:

Capture John Hagee - Dave Hunt exposes his false teaching concerning the Jewish people and salvation

Capture John Hagee's false teaching concerning salvation for the Jewish people

Capture John Hagee's false teaching concerning salvation for the Jewish people -2

John Hagee constantly writes about why Christians should support Israel, and yet for him to say “trying to convert Jews is a waste of time” is to withhold eternal life from them and condemns them to hell for all eternity!

Today, more than ever before, we must be certain to test everything that every pastor and teacher says in light of Scripture –regardless of how Biblically solid they may have been in the past! I hope you are beginning to see the importance of doing so, because many pastors and teachers today who were once trusted to preach God’s Word for so many years without compromise have shocked many of us as we have watched them give in to unholy alliances with those who are false teachers, and begin teaching many things that are totally unscriptural!

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when  men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 3:16,17-4:1-4)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” (Matthew 7: 13-15)

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men. after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

“Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:1-12)

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.  For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.  I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel– which is really no gospel at all.  Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.  But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned.  As we have already said, so now I say again:  If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:3-9)

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”              (Ephesians 6:10-12)

“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are — yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:14-16)

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” (1 Timothy 4:1)

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

 UPDATE:

My part-time job (that I truly enjoy) which began with me working just three days a week, has now become a job in which I will need to work four days a week. This means that my free time will be even more limited because of other responsibilities that I also have, which unfortunately means that my posts will not be as frequent as they have been, as well.

Lord willing, I will be using much of the little free time that I still have left to search through Scriptures, to continue doing research for upcoming posts, as well as praying for God’s wisdom concerning what I will (Lord willing) be presenting to you later on this year.

Lord willing, when time allows, I will be writing many posts in the future zeroing in on specific Christian programming and Christian teachers who are promoting these deceptive practices, (I recently posted a very lengthy one concerning Moody Radio which I will continue to update when time allows until completed) but since my time is getting rather limited these days because of other important responsibilities that I now have, I will oftentimes simply be sharing a video or an article with you.

In the video below you will hear Phil Holden of *EDINBURGH CREATION GROUP as he gives a clear and very detailed explanation of why we are now seeing paganism replacing Biblical Christianity in many churches these days. In his presentation he also explains how paganism slowly made its way into the teachings at many schools and universities today. As he presents all of his information you will come to realize what is truly responsible for paganism’s modern rise.

Here is a quick capture from a portion of his article that will give you an idea of some of the things that he addresses in his presentation:

Capture Edinburgh Creation Group - The Modern Rise of Paganism - Phil Holden(SOURCE) *“Edinburgh Creation Group is an active forum where scientifically minded people meet to discuss evidence supporting the Biblical account of creation.”

Some of the things discussed in this video are Freemasonry, Evolution, becoming gods, enlightenment, and more. He clearly establishes a spiritual link between evolution and paganism through all of the visual and documented information that he shares in the following video. He gave this presentation in front of a very large audience at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival.

When time allows I hope you will watch this video so that your eyes will be opened even more so that you can see how these spiritually deceptive teachings are attempting to erode the foundations of Biblical Christianity and our society as a whole.

“O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.”          (1 Timothy 6:20,21) (KJV – Bible Hub)

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”                                               (Colossians 2:6-8)(KJV – Bible Hub)

16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”                                                                        King James Version (KJV) Romans 1:16-32) by Public Domain

UPDATE:

For those of you who may be interested: Yesterday I updated my post, MOODY RADIO’S MIDDAY CONNECTION PROGRAM – CANCELLED, and, Lord willing, I hope to add a little more information to that post later on this evening.

Capture Eyes with tears 1

Welcome to another post in the series of posts that I have entitled, Warning You With Tears Wednesdays. Lord willing, at least once a month on Wednesdays I will be writing and sharing one of these posts with you so that I can make you all aware of some important information that I come across on the Internet that you may not have heard about.Since I knew that I would soon be starting a new part-time job (which I  started in June) and that my free time would then be somewhat limited, I was trying to think of something that I could write on a regular basis that would be short and to the point (at least that was my intention). And since I am a detective-at-heart and desire to make you all aware of the importance of testing things that pastors and teachers say (and do) in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11), the idea to do these posts — as well as the name — came to my mind in November of 2014, based on Acts 20:26-31:

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”

So with all of that in mind, here is what I’d like to share with you in today’s WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY:

Before I begin with today’s post, I’d just like to share a few things from my heart with those of you who read this blog from time to time:

Is your heart as burdened as mine is when you look around and see the many who are in ministry lacking discernment and how they are leading astray the many who attend their churches and follow their ministries? I truly hope you realize how we are to be followers of Jesus Christ alone and not a follower of any man (or woman) and their ministry. Yes, it is true that many teachers can expound upon God’s Word in such a way that it really does helps us clearly understand a passage of Scripture, but are you truly testing the teachings of every teacher that you listen to against God’s Word for yourselves and not just taking their word for it? Are you keeping in mind that God’s Word warns us time and time again about false teachers in the last days and that they would even arise from among us? Have you forgotten that God’s Word also warns us about doctrines of demon and  the philosophies of men? Are you spending time in God’s Word on your own and praying that God will help you to understand His Word, remembering that His Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth?I truly hope so.

It breaks my heart when I try to warn my friends about certain pastors and teachers, or music groups who are connected with churches that are led by false teachers, and even though I speak the truth in love out of my desire to warn them, they continue on following after these people.

Does your heart break, as well? Do you sense that the return of Jesus Christ could be sooner than any of us could ever imagine as we look at how our world is today? Does your heart cry out, as mine does, for all Christians to wake up so that they will finally realize the lateness of the hour? Are you sharing the gospel with those whom God has placed in your lives who have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation whenever you are given an opportunity to do so?

As I have basically said at least a few times already, our world is drastically changing. Things that God considers to be evil is now being called good, and much of what is good and moral and true according to God’s Word is now looked at as if it were evil. Some Christians are being led astray by their emotions and are now getting involved in movements that promote unity with religions that teach many things that are contrary to God’s Word, because, after all, they will know that we are Christians by our love, right? Yes, in John 17 Jesus did pray that we would be one as He and the Father are one, but we cannot unite with those who preach another gospel and another Jesus. (Galatians 1:6-9) (2 Corin. 11:4) (2 Corin. 6:14-18)

The reason that I share all of these posts with you is to make you realize the extreme importance of seeking after God in His Word, and so that you will become aware of the many spiritually deceptive teachings that are entering many churches these days in the name of Christianity. Many Christians truly need to wake up and realize just how accurate God’s Word is in presenting what will actually take place in the days before Jesus Christ returns because we are now seeing these things beginning to take place right before our very eyes!

Please see these things that I share with you as true warnings, and not as things that I put together in order to just share another post with you. I pray that all of the things that I share with you — in every post that I write — will move you to tears and lead you to pray and to seek God in His Word more than ever before! Yes, we are to be filled with the joy of the Lord, and to praise Him and to rejoice in Him, but He also wants us to speak out and to warn other Christians so they will not be deceived.

My desire is also to encourage you, but I pray that if you are one of many Christians today who just doesn’t realize the many forms of spiritual deceptions that are now entering the church, that you will pray for discernment and read God’s Word and study it well so that you will know the truth and not be deceived by the many lies that are being presented to Christians today. I hope that you will also take time to learn about the many forms of spiritual deception that have become popular today, because we are not to be ignorant of Satan’s devices. ( 2 Corin. 2:11)

I hope that you will join me in “earnestly contending for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints” (Jude 3) Thank you for listening.

And now, here is what I would like to share with you in today’s WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY:

1) Glenn Beck, who is a Mormon, is being accepted by many Christians these days as if he is actually a Christian because much of what he says sounds so Biblical. Former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is also a Mormon. During his campaign many Christian bookstores removed their books on Mormonism from their cult section, and so did at least one prominent Christian leader, and you can read about it in the article below:

AN OPEN LETTER TO BILLY GRAHAM REGARDING MITT ROMNEY AND MORMONISM

Therefore, many have come to believe that Mormonism is simply just one of many other Christian denominations. Please do not be deceived into believing that! James K Walker, a former fourth generation Mormon, was the special guest on Stand Up For The Truth on the following program which was from 2012 When time allows, please consider listening to what he had to say:

STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH – WHY MORMONS NOW WANT TO BE SEEN AS CHRISTIAN

Besides sharing his testimony, James Walker also shares a lot of information concerning the teachings of Mormonism in the following video:

2) Many of you know Glenn Chatfield who earnestly contends for the faith at  THE WATCHMAN’S BAGPIPES, but some of you may not be aware of the fact that he is a former Mormon, and that he has another blog that he started in order “to expose the LDS as a false belief system, and to hopefully open LDS members’ minds to the truth.” THE ANTI-MORMON BLOG

3) Another very helpful site that I first heard about from a friend, also has excellent information to help Christians learn how to lovingly and effectively witness to Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses. It is called: 4WITNESS – FOR CHRISTIAN WITNESS TO JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES AND MORMONS They state the following on their site: “We are a Christian ministry dedicated to sharing the good news of the eternal salvation in Jesus Christ. Our area of special focus is reaching the hearts and minds of Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons (Latter-day Saints or LDS))”

4) Many of you are already aware of how the teachings of the New Age Movement have now come into the church. For those of you who are not familiar with what the teachings of the New Age/New Spirituality are, here is an article for you:

STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH – DECEIVED BY HIGHER “CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS” AND NEW AGE INFLUENCE – “The subtle dangers of this seductive movement and how it is making serious inroads with believers who have not hidden God’s Word in their hearts.

5) For those of you who are not aware of the fact that Mormonism teaches that you can become God, it is very concerning to know that this is also one of the teachings of the New Age/New Spirituality Movement that is making its way into many churches through things such as Contemplative Prayer and through many who teach Spiritual Formation classes.

Warren B Smith was once deeply involved in the New Age Movement. He is now a Christian and writes books and speaks at many Conferences warning Christians of how the teachings of the New Age Movement are infiltrating many churches today. Here is one of many that he has written:

NEW BOOKLET TRACT: BE STILL AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT GOD! — GOD IS NOT “IN” EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING

(I hope that many of you were able to watch the videos that I shared here on my blog of the recent ‘The Remaining and Ongoing Dangers of the Emergent Church Movement’ Conference where Warren Smith, Roger Oakland, Paul Smith, and Xavier Ries were the guest speakers. If you were unable to watch the live broadcast of the Conference, and if you did not read the post in which I shared the videos from the Conference, you can watch them at the link below if you’d like:

LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS – NEW BOOKLET TRACT – GODDESS WORSHIP IN AMERICA AND HOW IT’S AFFECTING THE CHURCH – MARIA KNEAS AND JOHN LANAGAN PART 1 AND 2

7) Gary Kah, former Europe and Middle East Trade Specialist for the Indiana state government, shared his insight based on all that he learned over the years while he held that position when he was a guest on Stand Up For The Truth. You can listen to all that he had to say by clicking on the following link:

STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH – THE COMING ONE WORLD RELIGION AND GOVERNMENT

8) I’ll once again end this post with something that will give God the praise and glory that He is so deserving and worthy of by sharing a praise report with you:

Today my friend’s daughter underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her brain and it was removed completely with no traces of it left behind! To God be the glory! I would appreciate it if you would please pray for her recovery if God brings her to your mind.

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

Roger Oakland of UNDERSTAND THE TIMES, and Pastor Chris Quintana of CALVARY CHAPEL CYPRESS discuss End Times from a Biblical perspective. They also address the fact how many Christians are unaware of what is taking place in the name of Christianity and how we all need to wake up. Contemplative Prayer, the Emergent Church, doctrines of demons, and many more things are discussed. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:2-4)

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” (2 Corinthians 4:1-5)

“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

SERMON SUNDAY

Capture Picture - Preach the Word - Preacher's hand holding Bible

“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:2-4)

Welcome to another post in the category of posts entitled, ‘SERMON SUNDAY.’ Lord willing, at least a few times a month I will share a sermon with you by a well respected preacher who focuses on an important truth in Scripture in order to awaken the slumbering church, and also to alert Christians to the importance of reading and studying God’s Word. It may be a short sermon in written form, or I may present something to you in video form. I pray that when time allows, you will take the time to read or to listen to what I will be sharing with you.

I will also be sharing some expository preaching with you, but sadly, that is a very rare thing to find these days. I’m sure that many of you can attest to that undeniable fact. Sadly, many pastors today who seek to grow their churches oftentimes resort to distorting God’s Word either by taking a verse out of context, or by interjecting their own ideas into the text to make it say what they want a verse of Scripture to say (eisegesis). Sometimes a pastor will even go as far as to manipulate Scriptures in such a way so that they can preach about themselves (narcissistic eisegesis).

Then there are some pastors who just present watered down messages with very little Biblical content, and others who ‘preach’ controversial messages that will appeal to today’s culture in order to attract more people. Sadly they will continue ‘preaching’ these types of messages in order to entertain the crowd to keep them coming, rather than preaching God’s Word as they are instructed to do in order to feed and equip the sheep/saints and to expose the sin in men’s hearts so that God will grant them repentance and lead them to a knowledge of the truth.

My main goal in presenting these sermons to you is to point you to Jesus Christ and to make you realize the extreme importance of studying God’s Word and testing the teachings of everyone you listen to in light of Scripture.

Maybe you are one of those people who faithfully stand for Biblical truth and you recently had to leave your church because of what has been taking place as you have witnessed your pastor slowly drift from Biblical truth. Or maybe you left your church many years ago and you still haven’t found a church where the pastor preaches from God’s Word. If so, I have all of you in mind when posting these teachings and videos, as well.

For those who somehow find there way here, I hope and pray that you will be blessed and encouraged by the many Biblical teachings that I will be sharing with you in the weeks and months ahead –Lord willing.

Now for today’s SERMON SUNDAY:

Today Pastor Chris Quintana began preaching from Chapter 3 in the Gospel of John. His focus was only on the first three verses today, but he goes into detail concerning the importance of salvation and the words that Jesus spoke to Nicodemus that he must be born-again in order to enter heaven, and how that applies to all of us.

If you have never heard the gospel before, or if you don’t understand your need for a Savior, I hope you will take the time to listen to his message. Lord willing, I will be adding all of his teachings from Chapter 3 to this video Playlist for you as he continues to preach from the Gospel of John. So please consider stopping back here on the Sundays to come to hear these very important messages by Pastor Chris, because each of our eternal destinies are determined by the choices we make concerning who Jesus Christ is. Will you choose to place your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation? Or will you choose to go your own way by trusting that your good works will outweigh the bad you have done on that day when you stand before Him? Eternity is forever. Don’t delay making your choice. Tomorrow is promised to no one.

Here is the video description:

“As the saying goes, “There are many roads to God.” That may comfort some people enough not to look further, but is it biblical? It is based on the notion that it will all work out in the end, but what a dangerous wager that is.

Can a person come to God on their own terms and not see what the bible says on the matter? Does the bible make absolute statement, which cannot be ignored, especially on heaven or hell questions?

Consider our text this morning (John 3:1-3) regarding the question of Nicodemus, and the answer Jesus gives him. In asking about what Jesus had done, and noticing the power behind it, he is perplexed. So he asks, or better yet makes a statement about authority, and by what power Jesus does what He does.

Jesus simply answers the question which Nicodemus needs to know. A spiritual rebirth is needed, and Nicodemus is blind to his need. He needs to be Born Again.

That couldn’t be done by a man’s will, nor by some religious observance. It wasn’t through the administration of some church, they didn’t exist. It was simply a matter of being “Born Again”. Yes, Jesus used the term first, and it is a matter of faith.

So, for all the bluster and debate in our world, and theirs too, it boils down to a simple matter. For all mankind, as well as Nicodemus, do you desire to see “The Kingdom of God”? If so, then you must be “Born Again”. Those are Jesus’ words, not mine. This entire chapter gives much greater details on the matter and we will look carefully over the upcoming weeks to see what was the full weight of this conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus.”

Here is the text that Pastor Chris will be preaching from, plus the first half of Chapter 3 so that you can see those verses in context:

3 “There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

When time allows, I hope you will listen and be blessed by the preaching of God’s Word by Pastor Chris Quintana.

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”                  (Matthew 7:13,14)

Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Justified by Faith

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”             (Romans 3:16-26)

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” (Romans 5:6-11)

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:1-9)

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matthew 7:21-23)

“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

An Exciting And Important Side Note:

For those of you who watched the excellent Conference this past weekend, ‘The Remaining And Ongoing Dangers of the Emergent Church Movement,’ you will be excited to hear that Pastor Chris Quintana will be having a similar Conference at his church, Calvary Chapel Cypress, next month! So mark Friday, March 11th and Saturday, March 12th on your calendars! Normally his conferences are always posted on YouTube, and I will post them here for you if they are. The guest speakers at this Conference will be Warren Smith, Roger Oakland, Jim Fletcher, and Russ Miller. I am sure it will be another excellent Conference with a lot of very important information to make you aware of what is happening in the name of Christianity, and, as always, there will be a strong emphasis on God’s Word and the need for spiritual discernment.

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your weekend to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

 Capture Eyes with tears 1

Welcome to another post in the series of posts that I have entitled, Warning You With Tears Wednesdays. Lord willing, at least once a month on Wednesdays I will be writing and sharing one of these posts with you so that I can make you all aware of some important information that I come across on the Internet that you may not have heard about.

Since I knew that I would soon be starting a new part-time job (which I  started in June) and that my free time would then be somewhat limited, I was trying to think of something that I could write on a regular basis that would be short and to the point (at least that was my intention).

Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”

So with all of that in mind, here is what I’d like to share with you in today’s WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY:

In these first few stories I want you to see how unity/Ecumenism/oneness are all on the increase, and luring many Christians into thinking this is just wonderful! Here are a few different examples:

Last week I saw this first story posted on Facebook:

1) Capture Facebook - Biblezon - Mass during a traffic jam

Capture Turnpike Mass Click on the link below to read the story

Impromptu ‘Turnpike Mass’ During Blizzard A Stunning Example Of Faith And Spirit

Sadly, many on Facebook commented by saying they thought Turnpike Mass was a good thing –even some people I know who profess to be Christians clicked like! On the surface it is very inspiring to see how people join together in the middle of a crisis, but for those who are truly followers of Jesus Christ and have Biblical discernment and an understanding of what the Sacrifice of the Mass truly is (see videos and information further down in this post if you are not aware of what it is), spiritually speaking this was not a good thing! (Note the comments below that speak about “oneness.”)

Capture Turnpike Mass - Unbiblical oneness, unity

Although it appeared at first that all those who took part in Turnpike Mass (as it is being called) were Catholic pro-life students on their way back from March For Life, this next  article goes on to say that a bus load of  Catholic students stuck on the Pennsylvania turnpike met other Christian kids on a bus from Missouri:

Capture Facebook - Turnpike Mass - Catholics and Protestants join for Mass

These posts will show you how some Christians are being lured into Catholicism through what took place that day. As you will see, the focus is not on Jesus Christ, but on experiences:

Capture Facebook - Turnpike Mass - Former Protestant's comment

Capture Turnpike Mass - Jesus Christ made present, body, blood, soul, and divinity

Yes, Catholics are taught that Jesus Christ is made present in the communion wafers; they believe that they actually become the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ. Here’s what it says in Para  1374 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

“In the most blessed sacrament of the Eucharist the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity, of our Lord Jesus Christ and, therefore, the whole Christ is truly, really, and substantially contained.”

This teaching of the “real Presence” is what is being used to lure many Protestants into Catholicism. And sadly, many are being deceived into believing in another gospel and another Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:2-4, Galatians 1:6-9) because they do not know the Word of God. I speak from experience when I say that Catholicism teaches another gospel and another Jesus; I was a Catholic for many years and became a Christian when God opened my eyes to see the true Biblical gospel while reading the Book of Romans in a little Catholic New Testament.

When time allows, please watch this video presentation by Roger Oakland as he explains who Jesus is according to Catholicism:

2) Then, while researching for this post, I came across the following  related story reporting a possible Eucharistic miracle –the multiplication of communion wafers. In the Catholic church they are called hosts:

Capture Turnpike Mass - Possible Eucharistic Miracle Reported

You may not be aware of this, but the word host as defined by the Roman Catholic Church means sacrificial victim:

Capture Definition of host - sacrificial victim

The Word of God says that Jesus gave His life willingly, (John 10:17,18, and therefore He was not a victim, but the Victor over sin and death! God’s Word also says that Jesus died “once for all,” (Romans 6:10, Hebrews 7:27, Hebrews 9:12,26, 1 Peter 3:18), and therefore there is no need for the continuation of sacrifices for sin:

1″For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? Because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;) (Hebrews 10:1-23) (Emphasis in lavender is mine).

The Sacrifice of the Mass, according to Paragraph 1367 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, states that:

“The sacrifice of Christ and the sacrifice of the Eucharist are one single sacrifice: “The victim is one and the same: the same now offers through the ministry of priests, who then offered Himself  on the cross; only the manner of offering is different.” An since in this divine sacrifice which is celebrated in the Mass, the same Christ who offered himself once in a bloody manner on the altar of the cross is contained and offered in an unbloody manner…this sacrifice is truly propitiatory.”

Notice how it says that that Jesus is offered in an unbloody manner in the Sacrifice of the Mass, and yet it goes on to say “this sacrifice is truly propitiatory.”

But God’s Word clearly says:

“Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” (Hebrews 9:22)

So then how can the Sacrifice of the Mass be a propitiatory sacrifice?

Now, as you keep all of that in mind, think once again about the supposed multiplication of hosts, and ask yourself this question: Would God really perform a miracle like that which would contradict His Word and would  render the once for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ as being insufficient to pay the debt of sin? On the basis of God’s Word being absolute truth, I declare to you that He would not.

3) Then on Tuesday 2/2/16, LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS posted this story, which once again shows the lack of Biblical discernment among some Christians, and the strong push for unity:

Protestants and Catholics in Vancouver (Canada) to Hold Ecumenical “Weekend of Protestant and Catholic Discovery”

The video below is the longer version of the one that you will find in the article above. One of the many leaders of churches that you will see in this video and the one in the article above, will be Aaron Niequist, who is the son-in-law of Bill Hybels, the pastor of Willow Creek Church:

4) Below you will see two quick captures from an article by Amy Spreeman of BEREAN RESEARCH. If you take time to read her article you will discover that Aaron Niequist came up with the idea of The Practice, which “openly promotes building a bridge between Protestants and Catholics through Ecumenism.”

You can read Amy Spreeman’s full article at the link below. When time allows please consider reading the many other very good articles that Amy and Marsha West have both written and posted on their website:

WILLOW CREEK’S “THE PRACTICE” BLENDS NEW AGE & CATHOLIC MYSTICISM

Can you now see how more and more Christian leaders are promoting this unbiblical unity that is not built upon Jesus Christ and Biblical truth as its foundation? Since we live at a time when spiritual deception is at its highest level, we as Christians must stand on the truth revealed in Scripture so that we will not be misled by our emotions because of this seductive and unbiblical call for unity.

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate…”  (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” (2 Corinthians 11:2-4)

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9)

5) Spiritual deception and demonic activity are on the increase. Here is just one of many examples concerning what is taking place today:

According to the following story by the Christian Post, there is a VIRGIN MARY STATUE ‘GROWING TALLER, SMILING, CRYING’ AS CATHOLICS FLOCK TO SEE ‘MIRACLE’ IN MALAYSIA, and you can read about it HERE

6) For those  of you who are looking for reviews on War Room, the latest movie by the Kendrick Brothers who presented us with such good movies in the past like Flywheel, Fireproof, Facing the Giants, and Courageous, here are two for you that will give you some strong, valid warnings, as well as being fair and balanced:

JOHN LANAGAN – MY WORD LIKE FIREWar Room’s Priscilla Shirer’s Contemplative History, and Why It Matters

GLENN CHATFIELD – WATCHMAN’S BAGPIPESWAR ROOM

I’ll end this post with some encouraging news:

7) In the midst of all of this spiritual darkness and deception that we are witnessing these days, there are still men and women of God who continue to earnestly contend for the faith in spite of the opposition. Two of them are my favorite Christian authors and speakers —Roger Oakland and Warren B Smith. For those of you who are saying, “Amen” along with me right now, I’d like to share something with you in case you haven’t heard about this yet:

UPDATE:

I’m sorry this post is a day late, but I ran into some technical problems after WordPress changed a few things at the start of the New Year. Even though I stayed up late trying to figure things out hoping to post it on time, it took me until tonight to finally figure things out. Needless to say I haven’t had time to update my Moody Radio post yet, but I will do so as soon as time allows –Lord willing.

Now for today’s very short, but very important, Mysticism Monday:

Before I begin though, I first want to thank those of you who have already taken the time to participate in my Survey Saturday poll:

https://living4hisglory.wordpress.com/2016/01/30/survey-saturday-giving-you-the-reader-an-opportunity-to-share-your-requests-6/

For those of you who would still like to vote on your favorite Category of posts that you enjoy reading on this blog, you still have until Saturday evening, February 6th, to place your vote.

If you prefer, you can also send me a message using the ‘If You’d Like To Contact Me’ form at the top of my blog, or you can send me a message using the Contact Form that I added to my Survey Saturday post if you’d like to give me suggestions on what you would like me to prayerfully consider writing about over this coming year.

I would also like to sincerely thank those of you who sent me personal messages concerning what you would like me to write about. In doing so, God used you to  confirm to me what I see the need to write about because of the heavy burden that I have upon my heart to warn Christians about these specific things. Please pray for me as I seek God’s help in writing these posts. Thank you so much!

Today’s Mysticism Monday has to be another short one because of unexpected circumstances that I have to deal with.

And now, finally, here is today’s Mysticism Monday:

The following videos are concerning Rick Joyner, of MorningStar Fellowship Church which is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, in order to demonstrate the power of suggestion, emotional manipulation, and his unbiblical teachings.

These videos will also demonstrate how mysticism and doctrines of demons are being accepted without question by Christians who are lacking discernment not only because they fail to read and study God’s Word, but also because they fail to pray for discernment and do not test what is being said and done in light of Scripture. (Acts 17:11) (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

Watch how the leaders of Rick Joyner’s Morningstar Church first declare what will happen, thus preparing the people to accept this as from God. Listen carefully to what is being said and how the people are acting. Does God’s Word reveal to us an account of anyone acting like this? How many Christians are accepting the words of men (and women) and ignoring the many warnings in Scripture about spiritual deception and doctrines of demons? Sadly, it appears that many do these days. Please do not be one of them!

UPDATE:

I am sorry that I was unable to update my post on Moody Radio over the weekend, but, Lord willing, I am hoping that I will be able to do it throughout this coming week –if time allows.

If you didn’t see that I updated my https://living4hisglory.wordpress.com/2016/01/16/how-discerning-are-you/ post by adding a link to Chris Rosebrough’s sermon review of Levi Lusko’s message in which he clearly makes the shocking and even blasphemous statement that “Jesus had suicidal thoughts in His head,” please be sure to listen to that clip from Levi Lusko’s sermon, as well as what Chris has to say in his short review.
