Capture Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will bw saved Acts 2-21

The Resurrection of Christ

1″Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.”

3″For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 11Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.”

The Resurrection of the Dead

12 “Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”

The Order of Resurrection

20 “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”                                       (1 Corinthians 15:1-28)

Capture Isaiah 53 5

This time of year is extra special to me because it was right before Easter in 1980 that I began to read the little Catholic New Testament Bible that was given to me. As I began to read it the truth of God’s Word began to strip away the man-made doctrines of Catholicism that obscured the truth of who Jesus truly is; He is not the victim as portrayed in every Sacrifice of the Mass, but rather the Victor over sin and death, because I discovered the joyous good news of the gospel –Jesus paid the debt of my sin in full! No longer was I in bondage to a religion that provided no assurance of salvation. I was free and had a peace that went beyond all human understanding because I saw my need for a Savior and placed my trust in Jesus Christ alone and in the truth of God’s Word, and not in my good works or the unreliable words of men!

Dear reader, is your trust in a false gospel made by man? Or is it founded upon the truth as revealed in Scripture? Are you accepting a man’s interpretation of Scripture? Or are you allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you through the Living Word of God, by letting Scripture interpret other Scriptures? Are you attempting to earn your salvation? Or have you come to the point where you see yourself as a sinner in the sight of a thrice Holy God and realize that the only way you can be forgiven is to place your trust in the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh as the one and only way that God provided for us to become righteous in His sight?

The good news of the gospel is that He died for my sins — and for yours — if you will only choose to place your trust in Him and Him alone for your salvation.

I hope and pray that you will take the time to reflect upon these Scriptures and to watch the sermon below. Pray and ask God to reveal the truth to you as He did for me as I read His Word. You too can have the assurance of salvation and a peace that goes beyond all human understanding if you will only turn to Him while there is still time!

SCRIPTURES FOR YOU TO REFLECT ON

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1 John 4:9,10)

“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.  All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts.  Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.  But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved.  And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this, not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”               (Ephesians 2:1-10)

Then said they unto Him, “What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said unto them, “This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.” (John 6:28,29)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life.” (John 6:47)

“Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on Him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Jesus cried and said, “He that believeth on Me, believeth not on Me, but on Him that sent Me. And he that seeth Me seeth Him that sent Me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.”               (John 12:42-50)

“Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:5-13)

“At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures.  We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.  But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but because of His mercy.  He saved us through the washing of rebirth an renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:3-7)

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:4)

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.” (Romans 1:16)

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.  For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.”  (Colossians 2:8,9)

“Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,  “Why do your disciples break the traditions of the elders?  They don’t wash their hands before they eat!”  Jesus replied,  “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?  For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’  But you say that if a man says to his father or mother,  ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’ he is not to ‘honor his father’ with it.  Thus you nullify the Word of God for the sake of your tradition.  You hypocrites!  Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:  These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.  They worship Me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.” (Matthew 15:1-9)

“Enter through the narrow gate.  For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.  But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7:13,14)

“Jesus answered,  “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1Timothy 2:5,6 KJV)

“When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation.  He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.  The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer  sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.  How much more then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God.” (Hebrews 9:11-14)

“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might break the power of him who holds the power of death–that is the devil–and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”  (Hebrews 2:14,15)

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1)

“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to God.” (1 Peter 3:18)

“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” (Galatians 2:21)

In the sermon that you will find further below, Pastor Randy White gives us an understanding of why Jesus was crucified, and does so from a Jewish perspective, a gentile perspective, and from a theological perspective, as well.

Here is the video description:

“Dr. Randy White preaches about the crucifixion from Mark 14 and 15. He looks at the Jewish rationale for putting Jesus on the cross, the gentile rationale, and the theological rationale.”

Here are the texts that he will be preaching from:

Mark 14:53-65 and Mark 15:1-39

53 “And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

54 And Peter followed Him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put Him to death; and found none.

56 For many bare false witness against Him, but their witness agreed not together.

57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against Him, saying,

58 We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.’

59 But neither so did their witness agree together.

60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, “Answerest thou nothing? What is it which these witness against thee?”

61 But He held His peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, and said unto Him, “Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”

62 And Jesus said, “I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”

63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, “What need we any further witnesses?

64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye?” And they all condemned Him to be guilty of death.

65 And some began to spit on Him, and to cover His face, and to buffet Him, and to say unto Him, “Prophesy.” And the servants did strike Him with the palms of their hands.

1And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.

And Pilate asked Him, “Art thou the King of the Jews?” And He answering said unto them, “Thou sayest it.”

And the chief priests accused Him of many things: but He answered nothing.

And Pilate asked Him again, saying, “Answerest thou nothing? Behold how many things they witness against thee.”

But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.

And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

But Pilate answered them, saying, “Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?”

10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered Him for envy.

11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, “What will ye then that I shall do unto Him whom ye call the King of the Jews?”

13 And they cried out again, “Crucify Him.”

14 Then Pilate said unto them, “Why, what evil hath He done?” And they cried out the more exceedingly, “Crucify Him.”

15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged Him, to be crucified.

16 And the soldiers led Him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.

17 And they clothed Him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about His head,

18 And began to salute Him, Hail, King of the Jews!

19 And they smote H im on the head with a reed, and did spit upon Him, and bowing their knees worshipped Him.

20 And when they had mocked Him, they took off the purple from Him, and put His own clothes on Him, and led Him out to crucify Him.

21 And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear His cross.

22 And they bring Him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.

23 And they gave Him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but He received it not.

24 And when they had crucified Him, they parted His garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.

25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified Him.

26 And the superscription of His accusation was written over, “The King Of The Jews.”

27 And with Him they crucify two thieves; the one on His right hand, and the other on His left.

28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, “And He was numbered with the transgressors.”

29 And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, “Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

30 Save thyself, and come down from the cross.”

31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; Himself He cannot save.

32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with Him reviled Him.

33 And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” Which is, being interpreted, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, “Behold, He calleth Elias.”

36 And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave Him to drink, saying, “Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take Him down.”

37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

39 And when the centurion, which stood over against Him, saw that He so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God.”

UPDATE:

Even though I have a lot of information that I want to share with you concerning what has been happening lately in the name of Christianity, I decided not to do a Mysticism Monday or a Warning You With Tears Wednesday post for you this week in order to keep the focus of this blog at this time completely on Jesus Christ alone and not on the many unbiblical things that are leading Christians astray, which is why I simply left the SERMON SUNDAY as the only post for this week, until now.

I also wanted some extra time during this season so that I would personally be able to  reflect on the high price that Jesus Christ paid when He endured such torture and ultimately gave His life in my place to pay the debt for all of my sins and guilt.

As much as I enjoy writing and sharing things with you, I want you to know that I also take blogging very seriously knowing that I will stand before God one day and answer for all that I have shared with you and what my motives were for doing so. I share that with you because as I was putting this post together for you I realized just how careful we all have to be in choosing what pastors and teachers we listen to! Originally I had chosen a sermon by the late Adrian Rogers to share with you, and I also added many more of his sermons because I thought he was still considered to be among the few  pastors and teachers left who are worthy of our trust. However, earlier today I discovered that he also slowly drifted from Biblical truth.  Lord willing, I will share what I discovered with you next week in my Warning You With Tears Wednesday post.

Thank you very much for stopping  by and taking time out of this special weekend to read some of my posts and poems. If you are a Christian then this weekend is indeed special to you. If you are not, I pray that you will consider reading the Bible for yourself and ask God to reveal the truth to you so that you too will discover the good news of the gospel! Then you will be able to rejoice in knowing that you can be released from all the sin and guilt that holds you in bondage if only you will believe and trust in what Jesus already did for you as being sufficient to pay for your sin and guilt –no matter what you may have done!

Keep in mind, though, that the Bible also says that the devil believes and he trembles! The devil knows who Jesus is, yet there must be a trust and reliance upon Jesus Christ and upon Him alone, which he will never have!   He was filled with pride and chose to rebel against God. I pray that you will not choose to do the same. Humbly bow before Him and admit your sinfulness before a completely Holy God and receive the only provision that God made for you to be forgiven and to have a relationship with Him, which is through His one and only Son –Jesus Christ, God in the flesh.

UPDATED 6:10 P.M.  3/17/16 ADDED *VIDEO #3 OF POPE FRANCIS ON EVOLUTION

Welcome to another post in the series of posts that I have entitled, Warning You With Tears Wednesdays. Lord willing, at least once a month on Wednesdays I will be writing and sharing one of these posts with you so that I can make you all aware of some important information that I come across on the Internet that you may not have heard about.Since I knew that I would soon be starting a new part-time job (which I  started in June) and that my free time would then be somewhat limited, I was trying to think of something that I could write on a regular basis that would be short and to the point (at least that was my intention). And since I am a detective-at-heart and desire to make you all aware of the importance of testing things that pastors and teachers say (and do) in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11), the idea to do these posts — as well as the name — came to my mind in November of 2014, based on Acts 20:26-31:

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”

So with all of that in mind, here is what I’d like to share with you in today’s WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY:

1) Many of us are already aware of the numerous things that Pope Francis has said that has caused quite a bit of controversy:

However, maybe some of you aren’t aware of the fact that Pope Francis has a new cartoon series — and a book — in which he is presenting some very unbiblical things to children:

2) In many previous Warning You With Tears Wednesday posts I have shared articles with you in order to warn you of how eastern meditation practices — especially mindfulness —  are being presented to children in public schools in many states across our country. In this article by Berean Research, you will see some of the dangers of meditation and mindfulness:

MARSHA WEST OF BEREAN RESEARCH – THE DARK SIDE OF MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS: TREATMENT CAN TRIGGER MANIA, DEPRESSION, AND PSYCHOSIS, NEW BOOK CLAIMS

3) Mindfulness is not the only thing that parents need to be aware of concerning what their children are being taught in schools today! Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis tells us in the following article that:

PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS TOLD TO WORSHIP THE SUN?

4) Lighthouse Trails shows us from an article posted in FORTUNE MAGAZINE that these same meditation practices are being used to transform businesses:

FORTUNE MAGAZINE – “MEDITATION HAS BECOME A “BILLION-DOLLAR BUSINESS”

5) If you still are not aware of who Peter Drucker is, when time allows please consider reading the following article by Stand Up For The Truth and listening to the podcast, as well, at the link below. Also, when time allows, please watch the related videos that I posted below if you have never watched them before:

STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH – WHO IS PETER DRUCKER, AND WHAT DID HE DO WITH OUR CHURCH?

6) After recently learning from a dear Sister-In-Christ that singer and song writer Jeremy Riddle is actually the worship leader at *Bill Johnson’s Bethel Church in Redding CA, I have now officially crossed another singer  off my list of favorites and will continue to just listen to the CD’s of piano praise music that I received for my birthday from my sister a few years ago. I resorted to these extreme measures because I refuse to listen to any Hillsong United or Jesus Culture songs, or any group that is either associated with a church where the pastor is a false teacher or chooses to become involved with any Conference that promotes mystical experiences or unbiblical unity! I also refuse to listen to the many Jesus is my boyfriend type songs that oftentimes can be heard on K-Love. *(Lord willing, Bill Johnson will be the focus of an upcoming False Teacher Friday post which I hope to write some time during the summer).

7) Roger Oakland of Understand The Times shares some rather disturbing information with us concerning CALVARY CHAPEL and “a new symbol.” Click on the link below to read his article and to see this new symbol:

THE OWNERSHIP OF THE NAME “CALVARY CHAPEL,” THE DOVE AND THE APPEARANCE OF A NEW SYMBOL

8) Besides the information in the articles that I shared with you earlier that show you how the New Age/New Spirituality meditation practices are entering our schools and in the work place, one only has to look at this cover of NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE that Lighthouse Trails brought to our attention to show us how the New Age/New Spirituality Movement is permeating every aspect of our world, and it has been doing this for quite some time now! That old saying still holds true; one picture is worth a thousand words!

Capture Lighthouse Trails - Newsweek - Spiritual Living - Filled with New Age(SOURCE)

9) Many of you know by now that Warren B Smith, was once deeply involved in the New Age Movement and that he now writes books and speaks at Conferences warning Christians of how the many occultic spiritual practices that are part of the New Age Movement are now coming into the church. If you have listened to some of the many  videos of Warren speaking on the New Age Movement that I have been posting here on my blog, then you also know that Warren’s messages are always filled with Scriptures. The same is true concerning his new booklet tract in which he offers hope by sharing many Scripture passages:

LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS – NEW BOOKLET TRACT BY WARREN B SMITH – REMAINING HOPEFUL THROUGH IT ALL

And once again, I will end this post with something that will give God the praise and glory that He is so deserving of:

10)

Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

SERMON SUNDAY

Capture Picture - Preach the Word - Preacher's hand holding Bible

“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:2-4)

Welcome to another post in the category of posts entitled, ‘SERMON SUNDAY.’ Lord willing, at least a few times a month I will share a sermon with you by a well respected preacher who focuses on an important truth in Scripture in order to awaken the slumbering church, and also to alert Christians to the importance of reading and studying God’s Word. It may be a short sermon in written form, or I may present something to you in video form. I pray that when time allows, you will take the time to read or to listen to what I will be sharing with you.

I will also be sharing some expository preaching with you, but sadly, that is a very rare thing to find these days. I’m sure that many of you can attest to that undeniable fact. Sadly, many pastors today who seek to grow their churches oftentimes resort to distorting God’s Word either by taking a verse out of context, or by interjecting their own ideas into the text to make it say what they want a verse of Scripture to say (eisegesis). Sometimes a pastor will even go as far as to manipulate Scriptures in such a way so that they can preach about themselves (narcissistic eisegesis).

Then there are some pastors who just present watered down messages with very little Biblical content, and others who ‘preach’ controversial messages that will appeal to today’s culture in order to attract more people. Sadly they will continue ‘preaching’ these types of messages in order to entertain the crowd to keep them coming, rather than preaching God’s Word as they are instructed to do in order to feed and equip the sheep/saints and to expose the sin in men’s hearts so that God will grant them repentance and lead them to a knowledge of the truth.

My main goal in presenting these sermons to you is to point you to Jesus Christ and to make you realize the extreme importance of studying God’s Word and testing the teachings of everyone you listen to in light of Scripture.

Maybe you are one of those people who faithfully stand for Biblical truth and you recently had to leave your church because of what has been taking place as you have witnessed your pastor slowly drift from Biblical truth. Or maybe you left your church many years ago and you still haven’t found a church where the pastor preaches from God’s Word. If so, I have all of you in mind when posting these teachings and videos, as well.

For those who somehow find there way here, I hope and pray that you will be blessed and encouraged by the many Biblical teachings that I will be sharing with you in the weeks and months ahead –Lord willing.

Now for today’s SERMON SUNDAY:

In the following sermon, A. W. Tozer gives a clear and detailed explanation of what it truly means to “accept [Jesus] Christ.” Here are a few excerpts from his message:

“How do I come into a saving relation to Christ. He alone saves without merit or works.”

“It’s to accept Him exclusively, and not any other hope than Him; He alone is my hope.”

“Yes sir…you can’t afford to be lost…you can’t afford to take for granted you’re saved when all that’s happened is somebody has picked you out of your shell and tried to make a Christian out of you, and you’ve never known what it is to be born-again.”

“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” (John 1:12)

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” (Galatians 2:20,21)

“And He said to them all, “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9)

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”     (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” (1 Timothy 1:15)

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”                     (1 Corinthians 15:3,4)

“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your relaxing weekend (at least I hope it was) to read some of my posts and poems.

This totally is not my normal thing to post, but I just saw the above video on Facebook and had to share it with all of you. After all, God’s Word does have some good things to say about laughter and being joyful:

“A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; (Ecclesiastes 3:2-4)

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalm 16:11)

“Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all [ye that are] upright in heart.” (Psalm 32:11)

“Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. (Psalm 126:2,3)

“A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. (Proverbs 15:13)

“A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22)

Keep in mind, though, that those of us who are born-again Christians should be holy as He is Holy, and therefore our speech and the things we watch and laugh at should be things that are pure and innocent. Here is a little of what God has to say in His Word concerning this:

“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” (Ephesians 5:1-14)

I need to share a warning with you about laughter though, which will then keep this post in line with the many forms of spiritual deception and mysticism that I constantly warn you about:

As many of you know, with some genuine gifts from God, there are also counterfeits from Satan. His counterfeit for true joyous laughter that you need to be aware of has been entering many churches in the past and is continuing to do so! The following video by Andrew Strom will give you a frightening look at what is happening in the name of Christianity today. In his Documentary he seeks to answer the question, ‘Why are these manifestations so similar to eastern religions and Hinduism and the Kundalini cults, which are not found in Scripture and are not found in classical Christianity at all…” “…exactly the same as what we have been seeing…” (Not his complete quote from the 4:45 -5:58 minute mark).

In this Documentary Andrew Strom goes back to the recent past and analyzes many of the so-called ‘revivals’ such as the Toronto Blessing, the Pensacola Outpouring, and the Lakeland revival, and shows how the same spiritual activities that can be found in the world of the occult and in Buddhism and Hinduism also took place at these revivals, and how these same manifestations can be found in many churches and movements today!

For those of us who are truly born-again Christians by the Spirit of God, we know that in spite of how difficult out lives may be at times, our joy comes from the Lord; no matter how difficult the circumstances in life may be, the joy that comes from being in Jesus Christ is a joy that can never be taken away! It is not a fleeting moment or two of laughter and happiness that comes from what  happens in life, but a true joy that sustains us in the midst of our trials and carries us through to the end in spite of the sadness we may feel at times because we have been forgiven and cleansed from sin, guilt, and shame because we have chosen to place our trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and we rest in the fact that He is in control and will always work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. (Romans 8:28)

Now I need to start cleaning and get back to listening to Roger Oakland who is now giving his presentation at Pastor Chris Quintana’s Calvary Chapel Cypress for the Defending The Faith Conference! Please pray, though, because they have been running into many technical difficulties! You can also listen live by clicking HERE

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your relaxing weekend (at least I hope you are taking some time out to relax) to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

Capture Bible, clouds and sun's rays

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV)

Welcome to another post in the category of posts entitled, TEACHING THURSDAY.’ Lord willing, about once a month or so, on Thursdays, I will be posting either a video, an article, or some form of teaching  in which a *Biblically sound teacher *(Biblically sound because what they say and teach lines up with the truth of God’s Word,  Acts 17:11) will either expose an unbiblical movement, teaching, or a practice that is leading many Christians astray, or present some type of Biblical teaching to help you grow in a deeper understanding of God’s Word on different topics. Some of these teachings may be essentials of the Christian faith, and others may be things that we can debate but not divide over.

It is my hope and prayer that by presenting these teachings to you, many more Christians will not only come to realize the importance of testing the words of men (and women) against the truth of God Word so they will not be deceived, but also it is my hope and prayer that many Christians will come to know the joy of learning God’s Word.

Now on with today’s TEACHING THURSDAY:

In light of the fact that Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday are fast approaching, I would like to share this teaching with you by the late Dave Hunt. Even though God’s Word is spiritually discerned, the historical facts that he presents in this video may also help you as you share the gospel with any skeptics in your lives. Archaeological evidence that supports what the Bible says has oftentimes caused many to stop and examine the evidence and consider the claims that Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, made while He walked this earth.

I will be praying for those of you who do not yet know Jesus Christ personally and have not yet placed your trust in Him alone for your salvation. When time allows I hope that you will also consider listening to Dave Hunt’s presentation. Above all, I pray that you will consider reading the Gospel of John, or listening to the video of the Gospel of John that I posted below for you, and ask God to show you what the truth is, because your eternal destiny truly depends upon what you believe about Jesus Christ.

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, “But whom say ye that I am?” And Simon Peter answered and said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus answered and said unto him, “Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 16:14-17)

“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.” (John 8:24)

“For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many.” (Mark 13:6)

“And He said, “Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.” (Luke 21:8)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.  All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them.  And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.  We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”                                   (2 Corinthians 5:17-20)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.  Through Him all things were made; without Him  nothing was made that has been made.  He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him.  He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him.  Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God-children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (John 1:1-3,10-13)

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things were created by Him and for Him.  He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:15-17)

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word.   After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.  So He became as much superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is superior to theirs.  For to which of the angels did God ever say,  ‘You are my Son; today I have become your Father?’ (Hebrews 1:1-5)

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)

Capture Eyes with tears 1

1) It seems that false teachers are continuing to come so quickly that it’s just impossible to keep track of them all! Here’s another one that I have never heard of before, and just in case you have never heard of David Benner either, I wanted to share this article with you that was recently posted on the Lighthouse Trails Research Blog in regards to a letter they received from a concerned reader:

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: MY PASTOR ASKS CHURCH TO READ DAVID BENNER – WHO IS HE?

2) God’s Word tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 that we are to pray for all those in authority. And, as you all know, there will be a new president of the United States of America voted into office this November. Many struggle as they evaluate each candidate, not being certain who they should vote for. I am not here to endorse any candidate, or to tell you how you should vote. I will, however, share a few things with you that you need to be aware of as you pray and seek God concerning your decision. Just keep in mind that no matter who is voted into office, there will be no peace in our country — or in this world — until the Prince of Peace rules and reigns.

Many of you are aware of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and the Seven Mountain Mandate. For those of you who are not familiar with these things, here is some very important information for you:

HERESCOPE – 7 MOUNTAIN POLITICS AND THEOLOGY

HERESCOPE – KINGS AND PRIESTS – OVERTHROWING A GOVERNMENT

CHRISTIAN NEWS – TRUMP TELLS CROWD TO RAISE RIGHT HANDS TO UNWITTINGLY SWEAR TO UNKNOWN PLEDGE, AND THEY DO IT

TRUMP SAYS PLANNED PARENTHOOD DOES ‘WONDERFUL THINGS’

CHRISTIAN NEWS – BERNIE SANDERS EXPRESSES SUPPORT FOR ALLOWING ABORTION WITHOUT RESTRICTION UNTIL BIRTH

RANDY WHITE MINISTRIES – THE APPEAL OF SOCIALISM

When time allows, please consider watching the videos that I added below. I’ll wrap this section up now by ending it with this thought-provoking article:

TRUTHKEEPERS – COULD THE CANDIDATES BE SO EVIL THAT YOU WOULD NOT VOTE?

3) Don’t be fooled by the many who are claiming that “a great end-time revival is coming.” One of the many who are saying this is Bill Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding, CA:

APPRISING MINISTRIES – AN INVASION OF ERROR – REVIEW OF ‘WHEN HEAVEN INVADES EARTH’ BY BILL JOHNSON

4) For those of you who have friends and loved ones who still insist that yoga is just another form of relaxation and exercise, Berean Research just published a new White Paper on yoga:

BEREAN RESEARCH – YOGA

5) When it comes to Pope Francis, our concerns about him just continue to intensify as we read the many disturbing things that he has said, and see how many even in the New Age/New Spirituality Movement are embracing him:

POPE FRANCIS PRAISES ITALY’S LEADING ABORTIONS RIGHTS PROPONENT

LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS – NEW AGE LEADER DEEPAK CHOPRA ASKS? “WILL POPE FRANCIS BECOME A HOLY MAN FOR THE WORLD?”

6) As always, I will end with something to give God the praise and glory that He is so worthy of!

The beauty of God’s creation in the underwater world of Bali:

IN CONCLUSION:

Many in our world today are completely abandoning God and doing what is right in their own eyes. They are trying to silence their consciences by attempting to eliminate all reminders of Him so that they can continue on with their pursuit to follow every evil inclination within their hearts. That same evil that once filled our hearts and controlled us before we came to the knowledge of the truth and placed our faith and trust in Jesus Christ  and in Him alone, and believed and received the good news of the gospel; that He paid the full penalty for our sins. The beauty of creation declares there is a God, and yet they deny all the evidence that surrounds them, and on that day when they stand before Him they will be without excuse. (Romans 1:18-32)

All one has to do is to take a close look at what is happening in the name of Christianity today, and you will realize that the only type of revival taking place these days is a revival of evil: New Age practices entering the church,  the preaching and teaching of the Word of God are being replaced with experienced based services that appeal to the senses, and music that was once a means of expressing our praise and honor to a thrice Holy God, is now oftentimes simply repetitive phrases and void of any Biblical truth whatsoever.

Pastors, for the most part, are no longer shepherds guarding their flocks from wolves by exposing false teachers. Instead they are welcoming them in! Many who are Christians just stand in utter disbelief as they hear their once solid Bible teaching pastor begin to distort Scripture and deceive the majority of their congregation. These people are led astray because their trust is in man instead of in Jesus Christ alone.

Those faithful to the Word of God who simply desire to express their valid concerns to those in leadership are belittled with accusations and told to leave if they don’t agree with the changes they see. Or, worse yet, those in leadership fail to recognize error because they are failing to test everything against Scripture and forgetting about the many warnings in Scripture about spiritual deception in the last days, and that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

If you are one of the few who are taking a stand for Biblical truth in these days when so many are failing to do so, may God bless you! You may feel like you are the only one, but be assured. You are not alone!

Welcome to another ‘TESTIMONY TUESDAY.’ Lord willing, around once a month or so on Tuesdays, whenever I come across a video or an article that either presents a Biblical testimony of someone coming to the understanding  of the true  gospel, or a testimony of someone who was set free from a cult or some form of spiritual deception, etc., I will post it here for you with the hope that it will bless and encourage you, and, above all, so that God would receive glory and honor for setting these people free.

It is also my hope and prayer that when I share these testimonies with you, God will use His Word, and the Biblical truth presented in these testimonies, to set many other people free from the same bondage and spiritual deception that the people in the videos and articles I choose to share with you have been set free from.

And now for today’s TESTIMONY TUESDAY:

In spite of the fact that none of you actually voted on my previous Survey Saturday post to see more Testimony Tuesday posts here on my blog, I still decided to share this testimony with all of you because of the love and concern that I have for Catholics since I was once a Catholic for many years. I am hoping that if you will take the time to listen to the testimony of former nun, Mary Ann Pakiz, that it will cause a deeper compassion for Catholics to grow within your hearts, and that you would then look for opportunities to share who Jesus Christ truly is with them so that they might come to know the good news of the gospel…that Jesus Christ paid their debt to sin in full! Oh what joy filled my heart when God gave me eyes to see that truth as I read the little Catholic New Testament Bible that I was given back in 1980! However, I had to make the choice to believe God’s Word, or to stay in bondage to the man-made doctrines that I was taught as a Catholic. I immediately chose to believe God’s Word, but it took a year before I was set free from the fear and bondage that the teachings of Catholicism produces in the hearts and minds of many Catholics. (If you would like to read the verrrry loooooong version of my testimony, you can click on the links above at the very top of my blog).

Many of you need to understand that Catholics do not have the assurance of salvation; they are taught that it is considered to be the sin of presumption to believe that you will go to heaven after you die.

Here’s an article for those of you who would like to read more on this subject:

HIS BY GRACE – “ASSURANCE OF SALVATION: CAN I REALLY BE SURE?”

God’s Word shows us that we can have assurance of salvation:

“He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”              (1 John 5:10-13)

“Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (John 1:12)

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)

And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name.” (John 20:30,31)

And now, finally, here is the testimony of former Catholic nun, Mary Ann Pakiz:

Capture Test the spirits 1 John 4 1

Have you unknowingly been lured into New Age mystical practices by teachers claiming that certain “new ways to pray” will bring you closer to God? Have you signed up for classes in Spiritual Formation, or has your pastor been preaching on it? Have you been involved in “ChristianYoga, Centering Prayer, Contemplative Prayer, or Lectio Divina? Well, this series of posts in the new Category of posts that I have entitled, ‘MYSTICISM MONDAYS,‘ will attempt to not only peel back the layers of the many forms of spiritual deception that have been entering the church in order to reveal them to you as being lies of the enemy of our souls, but also the intention of these posts is to present you with the truth of God’s Word in order to expose the spiritual dangers of these practices.

Lord willing, at least once a month on a Monday, I will be sharing teachings with you from Christian experts on the subject, some of whom have even been personally involved with these dangerous practices. All of these teachings that I will be presenting to you will focus on many Scriptures; those who speak on these topics will not just be talking about these practices, because it’s only the truth of God’s Word that will expose the dangers of these practices and set a deceived person free.

Lord willing, when time allows, I will be writing many posts in the future zeroing in on specific Christian programming and Christian teachers who are promoting these deceptive practices, (I recently posted a very lengthy one concerning Moody Radio which I recently updated, and when time allows I will complete it by adding notes that I took as I listened to many of Moody’s, now cancelled, Midday Connection programs) but since my time is getting rather limited these days because of other important responsibilities that I now have, I will oftentimes simply be sharing a video or an article with you.

When time allows, I truly hope and pray that you will take the time to listen to these messages or read these articles, as well as read the upcoming posts that — Lord willing — I will be writing on these important topics so that you can be aware of these false teachings that are deceiving many Christians –possibly even you!

Please be sure that you test the teachings of all those whom you listen to against Scripture as God’s Word shows us that we are to do (Acts 17:11) so that you will never be deceived.

I hope and pray that all of you who are Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ are constantly testing what your pastors and teachers are presenting to you against the truth of God’s Word as we are shown in Scripture to do (Acts 17:11) no matter how long they have been in ministry, because many pastors and teachers are now embracing and presenting New Age mystical practices to their people through things such as yoga, as well as  though meditation practices which often times are found in Spiritual Formation classes and are referred to as Contemplative Prayer, silent prayer, Lectio Divina, Taize, etc.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

Mysticism in the church is one of the many ways that Satan is now using to bring about the oneness and unity that is being promoted in the world to bring about the One World Religion. Sadly, many pastors and teachers lack discernment and have now become tools in Satan’s hands to promote these mystical practices. We must keep in mind what God says in His Word:

“Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Are you a follower of  a man (or woman) and their ministry? Or are you a follower of Jesus Christ? Will you be a Berean and examine the Scriptures daily to see if what they are saying is true? Will you walk in the light and in truth and leave, if necessary, if Yoga and other mystical practices  are being promoted at your church? Or are the relationships that you have developed over the years while you have attended your church more important to you than being obedient to God and the truth presented in His Word? True followers of Jesus Christ will follow Him –no matter what the cost.

“For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.” (2 Corinthians 2:9)

Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

Today I would like to share some very good information with you concerning Mysticism and the Emergent Church from a ministry that I recently discovered through someone on Facebook who has been posting some of their videos. The name of this ministry is Youth Apologetic Training. Please continue to test everything that you hear and read in light of Scripture, but so far everything that I have seen and heard seems to be very Biblical. Although this series on the Emergent Church was written in 2013, it is still very relevant for us today. This article addresses labyrinths, yoga, Contemplative spirituality, breath prayers, mantras, and more. You can also click on links to listen to many podcasts concerning the Emerging Church, and many other topics, as well.

Capture Youth Apologetics Training - Emergent Church(SOURCE)<–Click here to continue reading.

Because of how drastically our world has changed, and is continuing to change, especially morally and spiritually, I have a deep concern and burden for the youth of today, and I know that many of you do, as well. I hope and pray that you will find this website to be a good source for helpful information for you to help your children and teens, and that you will be able to share some of this information with them, as well, so that they might learn to discern and realize just how relevant God’s Word is for today. The Bible is not an old book with outdated information, as some sadly seem to think it is. God does not change, and His Word does not change either. It is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and with 100% accuracy it has already revealed what will happen before it has happened, and it will continue to do so, thus verifying the Bible is indeed the very Word of God!

The Bible is filled with prophecies! It is said that almost one third of Scripture is prophetic. Here is a very good article by Let Us Reason Ministries for those of you who would like to read more on this subject:

THE PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES

If you had a chance to watch the videos from Calvary Chapel Cypress‘ ‘CHANGES WITHIN THE CHURCH ROUND TABLE MEETING with Pastor Chris Quintana, Roger Oakland, Xavier Ries, as well as the videos from Hosanna Christian Fellowship’s Conference,  ‘THE REMAINING AND ONGOING DANGERS OF THE EMERGENT CHURCH MOVEMENT with Roger Oakland, Warren B Smith, Paul Smith, and Xavier Ries, (I also posted these videos further below for you) then I am sure you realize that the Emergent Church Movement is alive and well today! This movement elevates having experiences with God over the Word of God, and, sadly, they do not place very much emphasis on God’s Word at all; they do not acknowledge it as absolute truth, but rather something that can be debated and adjusted in light of how the culture is  today.

Please pray and take time to read and to study God’s Word so that you will not be one of the many who are being deceived and led astray by these movements and mystical practices that are coming into many churches these days!

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“I am the LORD: that is my name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” (Isaiah 42:8,9)

“For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”     (2 Peter 1:16-21)

“Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:1,2)

“When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? Even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.” (Deuteronomy 12:29-32)

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:18-20)

EMERGING CHURCH ROUND TABLE MEETING – POSTED BY ROGER OAKLAND

Posted by Hosanna Christian Fellowship (Please read the concerns that I addressed in my post about what Xavier Ries said in the first video at the 1:27:56 – 1:28:09 minute mark in this Conference by clicking HERE and reading the 2/6/16 UPDATE, or just pray for discernment before you listen to these videos. Always make sure that you test everything that you listen to and read against Scripture. – Acts 17:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:21).

The following videos from the Remaining and Ongoing Dangers of the Emergent Church Movement Conference were posted by Roger Oakland. For whatever his reason may have been, he chose not to include any of Xavier Ries’ presentations from this Conference, which I am thankful for, because even though Xavier had a lot of good things to say, he did cause a lot of confusion for many as they watched and expressed their concerns during the live streaming of this event.

REMINDER FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE INTERESTED:

Don’t forget about the Calvary Chapel Cypress Defending The Faith Conference coming up this weekend! If they live stream this event or upload it onto YouTube, Lord willing, I will post it here on my blog for you.

Capture Eyes with tears 1

1) Even though many of us have been rejoicing because we have been seeing  many Planned Parenthood abortion facilities closing down, the following article clearly shows the downward spiral since Roe v Wade and just how desensitized and hardened the hearts of many have become over the years. If AB 6221 passes the Senate and becomes law, this article reveals even more unbelievable horrors that will take place:

2) Sarah Young’s best selling devotional, Jesus Calling, has been causing many Christians to set aside their Bibles, because, sadly, it seems that they would rather hear what Sarah Young’s Jesus has to say. There are no new revelations today; the Canon is closed. God revealed Himself to us through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. Because Hebrews is so rich in revealing who Jesus is and what He accomplished, I couldn’t leave out verses 2 and 3, but read what Hebrews Chapter 1 verse 1 says:

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers through the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Christian author and speaker, Warren B Smith, was once deeply involved in the New Age Movement. He wrote a book entitled, Another “Jesus Calling” in which he documents how many of the messages that Sarah Young receives from this Jesus do not line up with Scripture. Therefore, the only conclusion that we can then come to is that the Jesus that Sarah Young is receiving messages from is not the Jesus of the Bible.

Though the wording has been changed in the newer editions of Jesus Calling, Sarah Young originally claimed to have received these messages from Jesus and shared in an interview that she was inspired to write her devotional by reading a New Age/occult book called God Calling, a book that was written in the 1930s by two anonymous women in England known only as the Two Listeners. Here is an interview that Sarah Young did with CBN:

Lighthouse Trails is so concerned about the messages in these devotionals that they are contacting over 100 Christian leaders to make them aware of the serious problems with her devotionals. Click on the link to read this article, and you can also check to see if your pastor is on the list. If so, will he be among the few who will speak out and warn the people at your church? Or will he be one of the many who will remain silent and ignore these important warnings? If he is a true shepherd, he will speak out. Time will tell.

LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS – LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS PUBLISHING TO MAKE CONTACT WITH OVER 100 CHRISTIAN LEADERS TO WARN ABOUT ‘JESUS CALLING’

For those of you who are unaware of the serious problems in Sarah Young’s Jesus Calling devotional, here’s a review of her book by Christian writer and speaker, Warren B Smith, who was once deeply involved in the New Age Movement:

3) John Lanagan of My Word Like Fire shows us how this unbiblical call for unity is now bringing Catholics together with those involved at the International House of Prayer. The common bond that unites them together is –mysticism:

JOHN LANAGAN – MY WORD LIKE FIRE – FIRST EVER CATHOLIC SPEAKER AT IHOP-KC ONETHING CONFERENCE WAS ASKED TO SPEAK ON WISDOM OF TERESA AVILA, CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER

If you’d like to hear why many should be concerned about this, please watch and listen to the following video put together by a dear Sister-In-Christ, YouTube user Channel Psalm86, especially starting at the 25:00 minute mark where you will learn about Teresa of Avila:

4) More warnings concerning how many Calvary Chapels are continuing to respond to the unbiblical call for unity. Thank God for men like Chris Lawson and Roger Oakland, and others who stand upon the truth of the Word of God and do not give in to compromise!

5) Another warning for those of you who have school age children or grandchildren or friends who do. This is concerning Meditation and Mindfulness in Schools. Please become aware of this occultic practice that is coming into many schools these days and is being used to supposedly calm the children down. If children are not allowed to pray in most schools, why is it that practices which are rooted in Buddhism and Hinduism are now being promoted in schools?

6) I will now end with the following video to give God the praise and honor that He is so deserving of by showing you, once again, the beauty of His finest creation:

Thank you for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.
