Does it really matter what position a person holds to concerning the age of the earth if they are a Christian? If you hold to the belief that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, then it truly does matter! When time allows please consider listening to these presentations by Russ Miller of  CREATION MINISTRIES

Today our friend Russ Miller will be joining us from He will be here for our morning services and our evening one too. It is a two-part presentation that you don’t want to miss.

Within the church there is much disagreement as to whether we look at the bible as literal or figurative, allegorical, poetic, etc. Nowhere is this more prominent than the Genesis account of the creation, or the flood account. Since Jesus Himself reaffirms both events, why this is a debate is baffling, but such is the state of modern “evangelicalism.”

There is a darker side to having the wrong view on this topic and it comes down to when we challenge one part of The Word of God, then where does it end? If we deny the creation account as it reads in Genesis and the judgement of the flood, then how many other supporting passages found throughout the bible must we also dismiss? God never tells us that we can decide what is literal and what is not, yet people and entire portions of “the church” do this as common practice.

When the bible speaks poetically, or in some metaphor the context makes it abundantly clear and there wouldn’t be any other scripture saying otherwise. The Word of God is perfect, inerrant and absolute. How do we know that? God said so. People are free to disagree with that and they can take their disagreement up with Him.

Russ will be looking into those subjects this morning and again this evening in a part 1 and part 2. Miller Does the bible have answers to these questions? Come and see.

Lord willing, this coming weekend I am hoping to finally be able to present you with the next post in the Catholicism series in which we have been going through the teachings in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and comparing them to Scriptures in a Catholic New Testament Bible to see if what the Catholic Church teaches lines up with the truth of God’s Word. The reason for writing this series is because of the desire that I have to reach Catholics with the truly good news of the Biblical gospel. Since I am a former Catholic who attended twelve years of Catholic school, made my First Holy Communion, was confirmed, as well as attended thousands of Catholic Masses over my lifetime, I speak from experience. Most importantly, I speak out of love and concern for you, dear Catholic, because of my love for Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word, and the desire that I have for all Catholics to come to the knowledge of the truth concerning all that Jesus Christ truly accomplished when He died in our place on the cross, was buried, and gloriously arose from the dead on the third day!

At this point I have typed over 10,000 words in this post and have spent many hours trying to complete it so that I can finally share it with you, and with God’s help I am truly hoping to finally finish by this coming Sunday evening. So if you’re interested in  learning what the Catholic Church actually teaches in light of Scripture in order to reach your dear Catholic friends or family members, I hope that you will consider stopping by and taking time to read through this very lengthy, but very important post. And if you happen to be a Catholic who truly loves God and desires to know truth according to God’s Word, I pray that you will also consider coming back here this Sunday evening and reading this very important post.

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You
