Welcome to another Scripture Sunday post. I pray that you will take some time to listen to this dramatized audio of this very important Book of the Bible, 2 Peter, as you go about your day at home, whether you are preparing or eating your meals, cleaning the room where you keep your computer, or before you turn in for the night.

God’s Word brings encouragement, guidance, correction, and comfort. But most of all, God’s Word reveals who He is to us, makes us realize our sinfulness in light of His complete holiness, and exposes false doctrines that hold us captive to lies and prevents us from seeing the truth about who Jesus Christ truly is and all that He accomplished for us through His sinless life, His once for all sacrifice on the cross which led to His death, His burial, and His glorious resurrection from the dead.

If you do not yet have the assurance of salvation because you are still trying to earn God’s forgiveness instead of simply placing your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, I pray that you would get yourself a Bible and begin to read it. I pray that you will come to the knowledge of the truth by the power of the Holy Spirit and choose to truly believe what it says and choose to fully place your trust in the good news of the Biblical gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-6), thus receiving Jesus Christ and all that He accomplished for you.

God’s Word tells us that the demons believe in God –and tremble (James 2:19). They also know who Jesus Christ is (Mark 1:24, Luke 4:34, Acts 19:15), and yet they will one day be cast into hell (Matthew 25:41). True belief acts upon it by simple faith. If you choose to truly believe what God’s Word says concerning Jesus Christ being God in human flesh, who came to this earth and lived a perfect, sinless life in order to become the spotless Lamb of God who paid the debt of your sin — and mine — in full, once for all, you will then be justified by His grace and clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ (Titus 3:4-7). Your sins will then be as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12), never to be remembered again (Isaiah 43:25). What joy you will then have if you choose to fully place your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation!

The traditions of men add to the Word of God, thus nullifying it, (Mark 7:6-13) and lead many into confusion which hinders them from seeing all that Jesus Christ accomplished for them. Once someone who has been deceived has their eyes opened to the truth that can be found in God’s Word by the Spirit of God, they have the choice to continue clinging to the “Traditions” of men that offer no true hope for salvation, or to reject all that they once believed to be true, and instead choose to wholeheartedly believe the good news of the Biblical gospel.

True forgiveness, joy, assurance, peace, and hope come through Jesus Christ alone. As a former Catholic I speak from experience. Don’t make the mistake of believing that there is a second chance after death; there is no place called “Purgatory” where you go to be purged for “temporal punishment due for sin” as the Catholic church teaches. (CCC Para 1472, 1473 – More on “purgatory” in light of Scripture at some point, Lord willing). God’s Word is very clear in Hebrews 1:3 about what Jesus Christ accomplished for us: “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Jesus Christ sat down, clearly showing that His work of redemption had been completely accomplished.

Thank you very much for stopping by today.

God Bless You

UPDATE:

Last series of Estate Sales ended yesterday, and the closing date for our Mom and Dad’s home is October 16th. When time allows, I will be helping my family clear the house for the next couple of weeks before I can get back to writing again.

PRAISE REPORT:

This past week I received news from the woman that I previously babysat for that she would like me to once again care for her little girl, so, praise the Lord, \0/ it appears that I now have a job which will mean that I won’t have to start looking for one after the closing date! Lord willing, I should then also have some time to begin writing again! Thank you very much to those of you who may have been praying for me! ♥

UPDATE:

Due to complications with the company that bought my parent’s home, the closing date has been changed to the middle of October. Therefore, it will be a little longer before I am able to get back to writing some more in depth posts.

In this video, Christy Darlington, (of 4Jehovah-Ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses for Jehovah God), who once studied with Jehovah’s Witnesses but never actually became one), shows some amazing documentation that is included in her new book concerning what Jehovah’s Witnesses once taught and what they teach today. This looks like an excellent resource for those of you who have a sincere desire to reach Jehovah’s Witnesses not only with the truth of God’s Word — which is of the greatest importance — but also by showing precious Jehovah’s Witnesses undeniable evidence that can be found in their own literature — past and present — that will help to open their eyes to see the truth that God desires them to see, which is: Truth is not found in a religion or an organization, it is found in a Person –Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)

Christy’s description of her book as it appears under her video:

TO PURCHASE THIS BOOK GO TO Amazon.com – https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/148…

Did you know that in support of its New World Translation Bible, the Watchtower Society cited a bible translation that was inspired by demons? Did you know that in 1934, Jehovah’s Witnesses published a letter endorsing the “position” of Nazi Germany against the Jews under Hitler’s regime? Did you know that the 1975 failed Jehovah’s Witness prophecy was hyped from top leadership within the Watchtower organization and not from the lower level rank and file “brothers”? Are you aware that the very arguments that Jehovah’s Witnesses use to condemn blood transfusions can actually be used to support transfusions? Are you entitled to know the truth?

This book and video reviews the secret cover-ups and manipulation techniques that the Watchtower Society evokes upon its membership in order to keep them in the dark about its true history and deceptive doctrines. Based upon real conversations the author (Christina Harvey Darlington) has had with Jehovah’s Witnesses and presented in dialogue format, this book is designed to undercut Watchtower doctrine with the truth of the Bible and the facts of history.

Here is the description of this book as it appears on Amazon:

“Follow the inspiring dialogues between a Christian named Karen and a Jehovah’s Witness named Cindy as they discuss the Watchtower brochure What Does God Require of Us? and explore the core differences between Biblical Christianity and the Watchtower religion. In this book, Biblical truth is presented in an effective way that challenges the common reasoning embraced by faithful members of the Watchtower organization. Originally published under the title What Does God Require?, this book is the product of experiences the author had talking with Jehovah’s Witnesses of all levels of leadership. Written in dialogue format, this book includes photocopies of the pages referenced from official Watchtower publications and other sources essential for Christians using this book to witness to Jehovah’s Witnesses. Discussion topics are:

New Light Changes In Watchtower Doctrine
False Prophecies Of The Watchtower Society
The Watchtower’s Definition Of A Cult
Watchtower History and Cover-ups
The Jehovah’s Witness Claim To Be The Only True Religion
The Divine Name Jehovah
The Trinity And The Deity Of Christ
Faith and Works in Salvation
Blood Transfusions
War And Political Neutrality
Holiday And Birthdays Celebrations
Hell and Immortal Soul
The Cross
Loyalty To Jehovah God

A Christian who reads Christian Conversations with JWs will not only learn the reasoning behind many of the doctrinal differences that separate Jehovah’s Witnesses from Biblical Christianity, but he or she will be inspired to approach Jehovah’s Witnesses in a more gentle, non-confrontational way that will help open the door to more effective dialogues rather than closed-minded defensive debates. Likewise, any thinking Jehovah’s Witness will find the documentation presented from Watchtower publications and solid Biblical arguments stimulating to: “Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21, New World Translation)

Regarding the Karen and Cindy conversations in this book, readers have said:

“I am currently studying each and every page of the Karen and Cindy studies, looking up every Bible passage. They are very well put together, very well documented, with references and all, enormously helpful!”

“I had Jehovah’s Witnesses visiting for six years. … The sad thing is now I have their beliefs in my head. So I put myself into God’s hands and asked for direction. …Well, the feeling of freedom is amazing. I am like a child, learning again for the first time. The reason I had to write to you was the Karen and Cindy conversations. Instead of me asking for help, one question at a time, they are all there for me!! It seems as if ‘Cindy’ could read my mind. It’s so lovely for things to fall into place… I was scared while I did not understand even the tiny bit I do now. It’s such a joy instead of feeling unworthy (we’re all sinners I know) and feeling I would never be saved or go to Heaven. So, please thank God and Jesus with me for such help.”

“As you know… I am in prison… I know that every soul you help touch is a seed that might grow to touch hundreds and thousands… For example, the What Does God Require book you sent me some time back has been making its rounds around this prison yard. And many Jehovah’s Witnesses have been raising lots of questions and are re-thinking their faith… Again, thank you for your ministry… Keep up the great work!”

Christy’s own words copy/pasted from her reply to a comment on the above video:

“…I was never baptized but I attended meetings at a local Kingdom Hall for over a year and was involved in several studies as well. In the 20 years I’ve been researching JWs, I’ve met and worked with several Ex-JWs, some of whom were helped through the resources I’ve developed on my website at 4Jehovah.org. …”

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

Above quick capture taken from video below.

Although this video of Conrad McIntire’s encouraging testimony brings this summer series to an end, I pray that it will inspire you to lovingly reach out to every Jehovah’s Witness (and Mormon) who will come to your door. After all, if you were held captive by lies, even though you truly believed you were in “the truth,” wouldn’t you want someone to care enough to try and show you the real truth? And that Truth is a Person –Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1 Timothy 2:5,6)

“If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:9-13)

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live to righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.” (Isaiah 53:4-7)

“For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; And having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” (Colossians 1:19,20)

“Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.” (John 5:39,40)

“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:44)

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless” I will come to you.” (John 14:13-18)

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” (2 Corinthians 13:5)

There are many who hold to different views concerning the timing of the coming of the Lord and His wrath being poured out upon the earth. We are to be diligent and study God’s Word for ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit of God to teach us what God’s Word says. There are many Christians being led astray these days by some well respected teachers of God’s Word simply because they fail to test what is being said by these teachers against the truth of God’s Word to see if what is being said it true or not, as we are shown to do in Acts 17:11. Many are adding to the text what is clearly not there and therefore are leading a countless number of Christians to embrace what comes out of paganism and is completely rooted in the world of the occult. (An in depth post on that coming at some point –Lord willing).

Many seem to think that the Book of Revelation is too hard to understand because there are so many symbols in it and therefore they avoid reading and studying it. However, if one takes the time to really study it one will see that many of the symbols are identified. I certainly don’t claim to understand the entire book of Revelation, but I will simply say that I am one of many who is watching for the return of Jesus Christ, and not looking for the anti-Christ.

Sadly, many pastors and teachers today avoid teaching from it because it is considered by some to be”too controversial.” However, it is a book that comes with blessings as well as curses; blessings to those who read the words of this prophecy, who hear it, and who take to heart what is written in it (Revelation 1:3), and curses, which include the plagues described within this book, will come upon those who add to or take words away from this book of prophecy, and God will also take away their share in the tree of life and in the holy city, the New Jerusalem. (Revelation 22:18,19 See also Deuteronomy 4:2)

I pray that, when time allows, you will prayerfully read the Book of Revelation or listen to God’s Word in the video below and allow His Holy Spirit to reveal His truth to you so that you will not be led astray by those who present some faulty interpretations of the Book of Revelation based on a mythological, New Age world view instead of from a Biblical perspective in which we simply allow Scripture to interpret Scripture.

“And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath has come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:13-17)

“And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.” (Revelation 16:1,2)

UPDATE:

The home of my precious Mom and wonderful Dad was sold on Thursday. The closing date is set for October 2nd. My family and I will have a lot to do this month in order to make sure that we have everything out that needs to be removed before the closing date. Therefore, it will be at least another month before I am able to go back to writing in depth posts as I once did.
