I will not be revealing the title of the book until, Lord willing, it is published, but this is some of what I will be putting on the inside flap and back cover of the book that God has put on my heart to write, to allow the reader to know what this book will be about…

One young woman, who deeply desires to be loved, chooses to forgive an act of betrayal by her seemingly remorseful fiancee’ one month before their wedding day.  After many years of rejection and heartache, she discovers real love and forgiveness that transforms her heart and her life.  She puts her faith and hope in God to restore her marriage, but after waiting many years, her faith is put to the ultimate test.

Relive a woman’s true-to-life accounts of loneliness, rejection, hopelessness, despair, and depression, and learn how your life can be transformed by receiving God’s love and forgiveness, and making the choice to forgive those who have hurt you.  Your life too, can go from wailing to dancing, from ashes to beauty.

Based on a true story of a woman who was bound by fear because of verbal abuse, and emotionally damaged from continuous rejection by her husband.  Follow her journey into the depths of despair, and her rise to become a woman of strength and courage in the face of overwhelming circumstances, by the grace of God alone.

Note by the author: “I do not have a degree in psychology, and do not claim to be an expert on anything.  However, one of my favorite verses is Acts 4:13, which states…”When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus.”  I believe my credentials come from first hand experience of finding out just how real and faithful God is.   Because I have turned my back on sin, and placed my trust completely in Christ’s substitutionary atonement (Jesus died in my place, and yours, for our sins), as full payment for my sins, and because of the emotional healing that God has done in me from all I have been through in life, (that I have found through receiving God’s love and forgiveness through Christ, as well as from all the time I spent with God in prayer and in His Word) by renewing my mind with the truth of His Word, I believe God has given me His truth and His wisdom so that I can offer real hope to you.

To those of you whose lives have been shattered by the behavior and wrong choices of others, one of my many prayers for you is that you will see your worth as a person does not come from how others treat you, but in what God says about you.”  Yes, we are all sinners in need of a Savior…”But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  (Romans 5:8)

This book will be dedicated first and foremost to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave me… this testimony to share, His strength that was made perfect in my weakness, His Living Word to be my hope when life seemed hopeless, who turned my life from ashes into beauty, and proved to me that His grace is sufficient.  To my children, who brought me much joy, and also kept me on my knees.  To my mom, who planted the seed in my heart at a very early age to pray.  And to my friends who encouraged me to write, helped me to see myself as God sees me, and made me smile again.  🙂

“Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me; O LORD be my help.”  You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to You and not be silent.” (Psalm 30:10-12)

“…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of His splendor.” (Isaiah 61:3)

The accounts in this book are true.  However, the names of people, places, and certain personal details will be changed so as not to reveal the actual identity of the people involved.  The events written in this book took place at a time when life was lived more simply and it wasn’t so hi-tech.  So you won’t be reading a story with characters talking on their cell phones and having ipods, or even being on their computers.  I could have changed the details to appeal to this day’s generation, but I decided not to, because the message in this book crosses over to all generations; everyone can identify with the desire to be loved and accepted, and many know what it’s like to feel deceived, betrayed, rejected, and abandoned in some way.

One reason in writing this book is to reach young girls between the ages of 12 and 23, as they seek love and acceptance by young men.  Therefore, as this book begins, I start out writing about my life beginning at the age of 16.  As my character grows, the story line will also grow in depth and intensity, to keep the interest of the more mature reader.  Again, all situations shared are true, and as the story progresses, many conversations will be accurately presented, since I have these accounts recorded in journals I daily wrote in for over 10 years.

I also desire to offer hope to anyone who is seeking a relationship to fill a void that first can only be filled by finding and receiving God’s love and forgiveness, and to those who feel they can never get beyond the pain of their past, or see hope for a future.  I pray it will be a blessing to all who choose to read it.

I will only be posting Chapter 1, and will be spending some of my free time  getting my life more in order.   I will continue to write more poems, (although not as frequently) and when the time is right, I will go back to writing and completing this book, and, Lord willing, will self- publish it for the glory of God.

Thank you very much for stopping by and for taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems, and this introduction.

God Bless You
