Capture Philippians 4 4 Rejoice in the Lord always

Well, as hard as it is to believe, today we have started another New Year –and another new decade! So, with that in mind, I thought I’d take just a few minutes to let you know what you can (Lord willing) expect to see on this blog during this new year:

We will continue going through the Catechism of the Catholic Church and comparing many of its teachings against Scriptures in a Catholic New Testament Bible until we get through all of its 756 pages, (which does not include the Index portion).

We will then get back to examining some more messages and aspects of the alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary against Scripture to see if what is being said — and done — by this entity, who claims to be the Virgin Mary, lines up with Scripture. (Acts 17:11) (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22) (1 John 4:1)

Lord willing, and if time allows, I am hoping to share some Testimony Tuesday posts, False Teacher Friday posts, and some How Discerning Are You posts with you, as well.

Since I will need to start looking for a job in the near future, these posts will not be as frequent as they once were. However, you can rest assured knowing that I will continue to be committed to standing for Biblical truth and finishing these series in this coming new year –Lord willing.

Thank you so very much to those of you who stop by here from time to time and for taking time out of your busy days to read some of my posts. I appreciate every one of you!

A Blessed, Joyous, Peace-filled New Year to those of you who are in Christ!

For those of you who have yet to turn from trusting in your religion or your own good works as the way to try and gain acceptance by God instead of placing your complete trust in all that Jesus Christ accomplished for us by His sinless life, His willingness to take upon Himself the full wrath of God that was intended for us because of our sins, His once for all sacrifice on the cross that ended in His death, His burial, and His glorious resurrection from the dead in bodily form on the third day, I pray that you will soon come to realize the truth and the joyously good news of the Biblical gospel and the depth of the love that God has for you.

When someone discovers the truth about Jesus Christ and all that He truly accomplished for us and chooses to believe it, they are then sealed with the Holy Spirit and become His child. We then obey Him out of love and deep appreciation for all that He accomplished and endured on our behalf, not to earn our salvation. Our focus should always be on what Jesus Christ already did, not on what we can do. (Ephesians 1:13, 1 John 5:1, John 14:15, Titus 3:4-7, John 6:28,29)

God Bless You

For the past couple of years, WordPress has been giving its bloggers an ‘annual report’ so each blogger can see what their readers were most interested in reading on their blog.  And even though they do that for us on a daily basis through the stats they provide, I thought I’d share that report with you –my faithful readers.

But first and of most importance, I want to express my thanks and appreciation to all of you who have taken the time to stop by and read my posts and poems.  You have made all the time I put into writing out of love for Jesus, Biblical truth, — and you — all worthwhile.  And thank you very much to those of you who have taken time to post a comment.  Without you, I just might think that no one is interested in what I have to say and that I am simply talking to myself!

If you read the report, you will discover that the most requested topic that I have written about, as well as the most requested search terms that brought people to this blog, are topics and words related to Harvest Bible Chapel Rolling Meadows — my former church for over 14 1/2 years.  The most read post for the year 2013 (as well as 2012) was ‘WARNING YOU WITH TEARS,’ (thanks in large part to Twitter’s MegaChurchMouse who sent the link to that post out on ‘Twitter’ one day) and the most used ‘search words’ of 2013 were words like: ‘why I left Harvest Bible Chapel,’ ‘Dan Marquardt Harvest,’ and ‘Scott Phelps Harvest.’

As I clearly made known to all of you on that post, the reason I wrote WARNING YOU WITH TEARS (among other HBCRM related poems and posts) was because my heart was (and is) heavy with concern for those of you who attend Harvest and were/are not aware of what was/is going on there, as well as for those of you who are like I once was –a person with serious concerns about what was taking place there looking for someone to confirm those concerns.  And because of that overwhelming concern, the prayer and desire of my heart was to somehow reach and warn those of you who attend Harvest.  And by the WordPress report that the “helper monkeys” sent to me that I posted the link to below, you can see that many from Harvest found their way here again in 2013!

I only hope and pray that everything I have shared with you on this blog will cause many of you who may be blinded by your trust in James MacDonald (or by whomever) — as well as your loyalty to him — to realize your main focus and devotion should be to Jesus Christ, and that your responsibility as a follower of Christ and not a man or his ministry, is to pray for discernment as well as to ‘be a Berean’ (Acts 17:11) and test everything that is said and done at Harvest (and at every church, conference, and ‘revival,’ for that matter)  in light of the truth of God’s Word, as well as to seriously look further into all of this.

And for those of you who found your way to this blog in 2013 and have had your serious concerns about what’s happening at HBCRM confirmed by some of the information in the poems and posts on this blog, I pray that you also found (and will continue to find) truth, hope, and comfort not only in the many Scriptures I posted, but also in some of the things I may have said out of love and concern for you knowing firsthand the hurt, sorrow, disappointment, and even righteous anger that many of you may now be experiencing.  I also wanted to give you a strong reminder to pray for discernment and to constantly test what you hear James MacDonald and every Christian leader say against the truth of God’s Word.

For those of you who are followers of Jesus Christ, I hope that — along with me — you will take some time tonight to reflect on God’s goodness and faithfulness to you in this past year, even though you may also have experienced many days and possibly months of heartbreak and disappointment.

And for those of you who do not yet know Jesus as your personal Savior from sin and Lord of your life, I pray that you will take the time to consider seeking Him with all your heart.  Turn to Him with a heart filled with sincere sorrow over sin, and a willingness to turn from it by placing your full trust in what Jesus did when He died in your place as full payment for any and all sin, guilt and shame that may haunt you to this day.

Thank you very much for stopping by, and thank you very much for taking the time to read my poems and posts!  If you have any requests on what you would like me to write about in 2014, please make a comment or send me your suggestions using the ‘contact form’ and I will (Lord willing) prayerfully consider writing about it when time allows.

Lord willing, I am hoping to finish ‘Part 2’ of my testimony —‘From Fear And Uncertainty, To Peace and AssuranceHow God Revealed the Truth to Me As I Was Reading A Catholic New Testament Bible’  by Resurrection Sunday/Easter, so if you are interested in reading that, you will know when to check back and hopefully find it finished by then.  As mentioned in the past, one of the other things that I am extremely concerned about and see the real need to write about in order to warn those of you who may not be aware of this, will be — ‘Mysticism in the Church.’ So if you’re interested in finding out what it is, please consider coming back!  But until then, and as always, please read your Bible and pray for discernment!

God bless you with His truth, grace, and peace in this New Year and in the years to come –Lord willing.

A blessed, healthy, safe, and Happy New Year to each and every one of you!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” (Isaiah 43:18)

“…forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”  (Philippians 3:14)

“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”  (2 Corinthians 7:10)

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come.”    (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Here is what WordPress sent to me, and now I’ll share it with all of you:

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 9,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

‘UNCHANGING’ – A poem contrasting the ‘unchanging’ nature and Word of God, with the ever changing ways of the modern day church and its message.

Yes, helloooo world!  Welcome to my site.  I hope you will be encouraged and blessed by the poems God has put on my heart to share with you.  It is my prayer that I can be an encouragement to all who come to my site.

I think that many of you will be able to relate to feelings of hopelessness, loneliness, and discouragement that life often brings our way.  All of my poems are written from personal experiences… a prodigal child, and the heartbreak it brings, …a relationship that you long for, but the red flags tell you to beware, …and the joy that comes when you realize when you have Christ, you have everything, even though loneliness grips your heart at times.

One poem is based on comments I have heard people say that leave them fearful and locked within a prison without bars… an emotional prison that robs them, …or us, of the joys and blessings of having a meaningful relationship with someone,  if only they/we would let go of the haunting memories of the past.  Only God can do that deep healing within us, …if we allow Him to.  Sometimes that means we need to forgive someone, sometimes it just means trusting Him and asking for courage to step out and allow someone to become a part of our lives.

Also, because of the fact that darkness and deception are increasing in the world, and making their way into the church, I will be writing and sharing poems based on my experiences as I observed, and continue to observe the shifts from Biblical Christianity.  Today there are many teachings claiming to be Christian, however they seek only to distort and destroy Biblical Christianity as we know it, and replace it with a counterfeit.   My desire is not only to encourage others, but also to help other believers in Christ, and those seeking to know the truth, to realize the importance of studying God’s Word, and testing things that people say in the light of Scripture.

Many poems that I share with you, I will also give an introduction to, so you will understand the story behind it, as well as my thoughts at the time I wrote it, and my purpose for writing it.

My main goal is to glorify God, but I also want to encourage and challenge you…  not only through what I write, but also through Scriptures.  I may be able to bring a sense of hope to you, but ultimately God is the only one who can bring healing to your broken hearts and help you to not only grasp the depth of the love He has for you, but also to make you realize the importance of studying His Word, so your are not led astray personally, as well as spiritually.

May God bless all who come to my site, and thank you for stopping by!  🙂
