The teachings of psychology always intrigued me –until after I became a Christian and began to read the Bible. The more I read God’s Word, the more God began to heal me from how others had caused me to view myself as God began to renew my mind with the truth of His Word. God set me free from many fears, and it was all through the power of His living Word and His Holy Spirit.

We are not doomed to repeat the destructive behaviors of our fathers and mothers and become like they are, as some teachings in psychology lead one to believe. We are each responsible for our own choices and cannot blame others for how our life is today. Even though their destructive behavior may have deeply affected and devastated us, we still have a choice concerning how we are going to respond and lead the rest of our life. Will we choose to hold on to bitterness, resentment, anger, and unforgiveness? Or will we choose to forgive with an act of our will and move on with our lives? Some people may be able to somewhat go on with life by burying the pain through busying themselves in their work, or drowning their sorrows in alcohol and other drugs, but true healing can take place if a person places their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and takes the time to read and study God’s Word. Over time God’s Holy Spirit can and will renew our minds and make all things new. (2 Corinthians 5:17) Again, I speak from experience.

I know someone who was verbally abused as well as physically abused as a child in many horrific ways: pushed down a flight of stairs, locked in a closet, etc.  Yet this person made the choice to never treat their child the way they were treated, and did not become a child abuser as psychology often teaches happens to those who were abused as a child.

As Christians we are being led to believe that God’s Word is not sufficient to help us overcome the problems and devastating circumstances that we all face at some point in our lives, whether it is the death of a loved one, the infidelity of a spouse, the end of a marriage due to a spouse who wants out for some reason, sexual abuse, etc. Many suggest going to “Christian” counseling to bring healing to our troubled hearts and minds, and psychology is now widely accepted and endorsed by many Christians today. You will find that many churches these days offer some type of so-called Biblical counseling classes in order for you to overcome addictions,  fears, and depression. But have you ever stopped to consider the roots of psychology and what teachers such as Sigmund Freud, Carl Yung, Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow and others believed? Are you aware of the fact that Carl Yung received many of his teachings from a spirit guide? Psychology oftentimes incorporates occult practices such as visualization and hypnosis along with their teachings that are rooted in the occult, and therefore the teachings of psychology cannot be merged with Christianity.

You will also hear about Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life and Purpose Driven Church Movement and how his teachings are not based on Biblical principles but rather on worldly strategies to grow the church, and how he focuses on social justice issues rather than on preaching the gospel. You will also hear how his church presents unbiblical counseling classes and occult practices. (In one of my previous posts I added quick captures of information that I found on Saddleback Church’s website in order to show you they offer classes on yoga, which is a religious practice in Hinduism). Those are just some of the things that you will find out if you take the time to listen to the following teachings in the Playlist that I shared with you below. The speakers include Dave Hunt, T A McMahon, James Sundquist, and Bob Klenck.

Much more could be said, but my time is extremely limited this week, so I will close by saying the following:

Dear Christian, and every reader of this post, when time allows, please consider listening to the following videos. If you have never heard the Biblical gospel and placed your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, please get yourself a Bible, pray for God to reveal His truth to you, and then begin reading through the gospel of John and the Book of Romans, and wherever else you are led to read in God’s Word. If you choose to believe the good news of the gospel [Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, willingly came to this earth to live the perfect, sinless life that you and I could never live, to become the perfect sacrifice by dying on the cross in your place and in mine to pay the debt for all of our sins and guilt in full, that He was buried and arose bodily from the grave on the third day which showed that He fully satisfied God’s wrath and His just demands] you will then be forgiven and covered in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, and all of your sins and guilt will be washed away, never to be remembered again. 

In Jesus Christ alone you will find true healing and hope, and you will find that His strength and His grace will be sufficient to help you face tomorrow. No matter how difficult your circumstances may be, and no matter what trials may come your way, He promises to never leave you or forsake you, unlike others who have made that promise to you in your life and yet have broken it.

Do not be deceived by the philosophies of men and occult practices that have been presented to you cloaked with Christian sounding words. Look to Jesus Christ alone and to His Word. That is all we need to bring hope and healing to our minds and to our broken, shattered lives and sinful hearts.



“I will praise the LORD who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand I will not be shaken.” (Psalm 16:7,8)

“I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.” (Psalm 119:45)

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:4-9)

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” (Colossians 2:6-8)

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 5:7-11)


Now Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, “May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them. Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. There he went into a cave and spent the night. And the word of the Lord came to him: “What are you doing here, Elijah?” He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. Jehu will put to death any who escape the sword of Hazael, and Elisha will put to death any who escape the sword of Jehu. Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.”



“Your statutes are my delight, they are my counselors.” (Psalm 119:24)

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:23-27)

“When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.” (John 15:26)

“But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go I will send him to you. When he comes he will convict the world of guilt, in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer, and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”  (John 16:7-13)

God gave me the desire of my heart concerning a job by having circumstances change, and starting next week I will have my childcare job back taking care of the precious little girl that I had the privilege of caring for ever since she was only five weeks old! (Thank You, Jesus!) So over the next few days I will be working on updating one post, and completing at least two posts, with the hope of presenting them to you by Tuesday –Lord willing.

Many Christians are unaware of how they are giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils when they fail to test the teachings of professing Christian teachers they sit under against the truth of God’s Word. In failing to do so, many are being led into New Age/ New Spirituality practices that are rooted in occultism, and they are being led away from the Biblical Jesus and the Biblical gospel. This is happening through Spiritual Formation classes that present Christians with practices such as Contemplative Prayer, Lectio Divina, Silent Prayer, meditation stations, so-called “holy yoga” classes, and so much more!

The Human Potential Movement (another term for the New Age Movement) is another way in which many Christians are being deceived and are departing from the true faith; the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. (Jude 3) In many businesses, seminars are being presented to their employees with techniques that they are told will relieve stress and help them to become more productive. However, this movement presents mind altering techniques and tells a person to look within themselves where they will realize that everything they need to achieve success can be found. Therefore, there is no need for God because ultimately you are God. There is no concept of sin and therefore no need for a Savior from sin.

In the following presentation, well respected Christian author and speaker, the late Dave Hunt, warns us about many of these doctrines of demons and emphasizes the importance of getting back to Biblical Christianity. He urges Christians to learn to think for themselves. He also has this to say, which many of us who have been part of an abusive church can sadly relate to:

“I think that some pastors don’t want their people to think. They ought to be able to tell you what to do.  That’s one of the problems. There’s a form of guruism in the church of Jesus Christ today, and to follow a guru you check your mind at the door, and they literally do your thinking for you. “Sun Myung Moon said, “I am their mind.” You have got to learn to think for yourself, because you have individual, moral accountability.”

When time allows, I hope that you will prayerfully consider listening to his very important and Biblically based message. As always, please be sure to test every teaching you listen to against Scripture –even what Dave Hunt says. (Acts 17:11)

Capture Study to show thyself approved - 2 Timothy 2-15

Welcome to another post in the category of posts entitled, TEACHING THURSDAY.’ Lord willing, about once a month or so, on Thursdays, I will be posting either a video, an article, or some form of teaching  in which a *Biblically sound teacher *(Biblically sound because what they say and teach lines up with the truth of God’s Word,  Acts 17:11) will either expose an unbiblical movement, teaching, or a practice that is leading many Christians astray, or present some type of Biblical teaching to help you grow in a deeper understanding of God’s Word on different topics. Some of these teachings may be essentials of the Christian faith, and others may be things that we can debate but not divide over.

It is my hope and prayer that by presenting these teachings to you, many more Christians will not only come to realize the importance of testing the words of men (and women) against the truth of God Word so they will not be deceived, but also it is my hope and prayer that many Christians will come to know the joy of learning God’s Word.

Now on with today’s TEACHING THURSDAY:

I am sure that many of you who are born-again followers of Jesus Christ can say along with me that it can be very heartbreaking and discouraging at times when we try to lovingly warn friends and family members who claim to be Christians of the many spiritually deceptive teachings and practices that are entering many churches these days, only to have them completely reject all that you have to say instead of being willing to listen and to seek God about these things. Countless numbers of churches these days are now presenting yoga classes to those who attend their churches, and therefore it is becoming acceptable to practice yoga if a person is a Christian –in spite of the fact that yoga is rooted in Hinduism, and Hindus themselves say, “There is no Yoga without Hinduism and there is no Hinduism without yoga.” After all, yoga can’t be spiritually dangerous to practice if those in leadership are presenting this at our church, right?

Or how about the Spiritual Formation classes that many churches are offering these days which claim that you will learn how to connect with God through new and exciting ways causing your relationship with God to grow deeper and more intimate? Through  Contemplative Prayer sessions Christians are told to still their mind and sit in the silence and wait to hear God speak to them. What ever happened to coming to know God and hearing Him speak to us through His Word –the Bible? Have so many Christians been deceived by placing their trust in the leaders of their churches and those who are popular teachers and preachers these days that they have forgotten that we actually have the living Word of God? (Hebrews 4:12) We need nothing more!

Have many Christians also forgotten about the many warnings in Scripture about spiritual deception in the last days and how we are to test the spirits (1 John 4:1) and to examine the Scriptures daily to see if what is being said (by those who teach and preach God’s Word) is true? (Acts 17:11)

How many of you know God’s Word so well that as soon as you hear a pastor or teacher say something just slightly unbiblical you know right away that something is not quite right, and God’s Holy Spirit immediately begins to bring many Scriptures to mind that  confirm your suspicions? Yes, there may be times when we as Christians may become deceived for a short season (as I was when I joined a so-called “Bible study” that presented the women with Henry Blackabye’s Experiencing God workbook), but if we continue to test things against Scripture, God will open our eyes to the truth and we will come to realize even more how important it is to constantly testing everything against Scripture and to follow Jesus Christ alone so that we will never be deceived again. He will also use what we have been through to warn others of the importance of reading and studying God’s Word so that they will never be deceived, as well.

When time allows I hope that you will listen to Dave Hunt as he teaches the importance of thinking for yourself and as he shares the many different ways in which Christians are being deceived spiritually because of the various New Age teachings that are now permeating many churches these days.

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” (1 Timothy 4:1)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:6-9)

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.” (2 Peter 2:1)

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” (2 Corinthians 4:1-5)

“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” (Matthew 7: 13-15)

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men. after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

“Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:26-31)

For those of you who still aren’t aware of it, tomorrow, September 22, 2015, is the long awaited day that many have been looking forward to; Pope Francis, the first Jesuit pope, will be coming to the United States. As you can see from his official schedule below, he will be quite busy! I will be focusing on a few of those things listed on his schedule, and sharing some important information with you, and some Biblical truth, as well, a little later in this post. So let’s continue on:

Many people are excitedly preparing for his visit. That includes many people in Philadelphia who are scurrying  about preparing four shrines in order to attract visitors: The shrines of St. John Newmann, St. Katherine Drexel, St. Rita of Cascia, and the Miraculous Medal shrine. (See videos below). And, according to the following article, “evangelism is their main goal.” No, it will not be the Biblical gospel that they will be proclaiming, but the gospel according to Rome, that sadly offers no assurance of salvation to precious Catholics. (I was raised Catholic and attended twelve years of Catholic school, so I know very well what Catholicism teaches).

More than a  million people are expected to travel to see the Pope. And for those looking to find that perfect keepsake, there will be a wide variety of souvenirs to choose from. Including a plush Pope Francis doll:

Miraculous Medal

Pope Francis is seen as a loving and kind person, and called “the people’s pope” by many people. Some evangelical Christian leaders, such as Rick Warren, are very impressed by him, as well, and even referred to him as “our new pope” in an interview with a Catholic television host on EWTN. And, as you will soon see by the quick capture further below, Rick Warren will be preaching with Cardinal Sean Patrick O’Malley for Pope Francis’ visit on Friday September 25th. Many Christians are calling for him to repent for his continued effort seeking to unite Christians with the Roman Catholic church, while choosing to ignore the many serious theological differences.



Now I’d like to draw your attention to some of the key points of interest concerning what’s on Pope Francis’ schedule during his visit to the United States which has many people wondering — and speculating — as to what will actually take place:

On Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at 9:15 a.m. Pope Francis will be having a personal meeting with President Barack Obama. Wouldn’t you love to hear what they will be talking about!

Later that same day at 4:15 p.m., Pope Francis will be presiding at the “celebration of Holy Mass for the Canonization of Blessed Fr. Junipero Serra” –in spite of much controversy! You can read all about it in the following article:


On Thursday, September 24th, at 9:20 a.m., Pope Francis will be the very first pope in the history of the United States to address a joint session of the U.S. Congress. Many wonder what his seemingly extremely important message will focus on. Some suggest it may be the predicted “climate chaos” mentioned by the French Foreign Minister in his meeting with John Kerry  on May 13th 2014:


I share this video with you not as an endorsement of the people in the following video, nor as a promotion of what is suggested may happen in September of 2015. I share this with you just as information concerning what is being discussed as to what may possibly soon take place.


On Friday, September 25th Pope Francis will be in New York. At 8:30 a.m. he is scheduled to address the United Nations general assembly of world leaders, which also leads many wondering and speculating as to what he will be talking about. Rumor has it that he will again be addressing climate change, because in his encyclical that was “leaked before the expected June 18th release date,” he calls it’s “the greatest threat to humanity,” and therefore he may be jointly enforcing making some disturbing requirements suggestions as to what must should be done in order to save the planet:



Many also speculate that he may be calling for a redistribution of wealth:

However, time will tell.

Later that same day at 11:30 a.m., Pope Francis will take part in a “multi-religious service at 9/11 Memorial and Museum, World Trade Center.”

It will most likely be very similar to the multi-religious service that took place in Italy in 1986 at the Basilica of St. Francis when John Paul II reigned as pope. In Dave Hunt’s video, A Woman Rides The Beast, (posted below), he said the following:

“In 1986, Pope John Paul II gathered in Assisi Italy, the leaders of the world’s major religions to pray for peace. There were snake worshipers, fire worshipers, spiritists, animists, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, North American witch doctors. I watched in astonishment as they walked to the microphone to pray. The pope said they were all praying to the same God, and that their prayers were creating a spiritual energy that was bringing about a new climate for peace. John Paul II allowed his good friend the Dali Lama to put the Buddha on the altar in St. Peter’s Church in Assisi and with his monks to have a Buddhist worship ceremony there while Shintoists chanted and rang their bells outside.” ( Dave Hunt – A Woman Rides The Beast, starting at the 14:58 minute mark).

As you can see from the quick capture below, on Friday September 25th Rick Warren will also be preaching along with Cardinal Sean Patrick O’Malley for Pope Francis’ visit. Another example of how Rick Warren is choosing to compromise with Biblical Christianity by disregarding Biblical truth (2 Corin. 6:14-18, 2 Corin. 11:4, Gal. 1:6-9) in order to form a false unity with the Roman Catholic Church.

On Saturday, September 26th, Pope Francis will then travel to Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families where, according to THIS  article, he “will give a talk on religious liberty and meet with immigrants at Independence Hall.”

On Sunday evening, September 27th at 8:00 p.m., Pope Francis will head back to Rome, and his historic visit to the United States will come to an end.

In his short 2 1/2 year reign as pope thus far, Pope Francis has managed to stir up a major amount of controversy! Here are just a few of the very shocking things that he has said; some stories were true, and some are claimed to have been distorted:

1) TRUE: “When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. but that is not so.” (Read the entire article at the link below:



2)According to the article by Independent at the link below, the following statement that Pope Francis reportedly said is –TRUE:

“You ask me if the God of the Christians forgives those who don’t believe and don’t seek the faith. I start out by saying — and this is the fundamental thing — that God’s mercy has no limits if you go to him with a sincere and contrite heart. The issue for those who do not believe in God is to obey their conscience.”


But then again, according to point 2 in THIS ARTICLE  by the Christian Post, it states the following concerning what Pope Francis actually meant:

“The Pope… simply reminded the faithful that there can be, and is, goodness, or natural virtue, outside the Church. And that Christ’s death on the Cross redeemed all men. He paid the price so that every man could come to God and be saved.”

3) This rather bizarre story is –TRUE: It has been reported that while Pope Francis was preaching, in order to make a point he said that he would baptize Martians. THIS ARTICLE by TIME quoted Pope Francis as saying the following: 

“If–for example–tomorrow an expedition of Martians came, and some of them came to us, here…Martians, right? Green, with that long nose and big ears, just like children paint them…And one says, ‘But I want to be baptized!’ What would happen?”

The same article goes on to point out something rather strange, but interesting, about Jesuit priest, Jose (Gabriel) Fumes whom I learned about late last year:

“The Vatican’s chief astronomer, Argentine Jesuit father Jose  Fumes, explained the possibility of extraterrestrial life in 2008 when he too said that God’s mercy could be offered to aliens if it were needed. He even cited Pope Francis’ namesake to make his point. “This is not in contrast with the faith, because we cannot place limits on the creative freedom of God,” Fumes said. “To use St. Francis’ words, if we consider earthly creatures as ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters,’ why can’t we also speak of an ‘extraterrestrial brother?'”

And the last bit of information that I would like to share with you that adds to how bizarre all of this is, is the fact that the U.N. appointed earth’s first Ambassador to reach out to –aliens!


4) TRUE, but reports claim this story was rather DISTORTED: Although it was originally reported that the Pope said that those who follow him on Twitter will be released from Purgatory sooner, the actual story is just as disturbing:

For those of you who were not raised Catholic, please allow me to explain a few things to you so that you understand the magnitude of what has been stated in the article above. A ‘Plenary Indulgence‘ as defined by the Vatican website is as follows:

In other words, what Pope Francis was actually saying, is that those who would choose to either follow him on “social media” (Twitter or Facebook, etc.), during the World Youth Day event, or actually attend World Youth Day, as well as follow the prescribed usual conditions, which are “sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion, and prayer in accordance with the intentions of the Holy Father,” they would receive complete forgiveness for their sins (a Plenary Indulgence) for that one day, or they may apply this Plenary Indulgence to one of their deceased loved ones who are in ‘Purgatory.’

Catholics are taught that Purgatory is a place where Catholics go who die in the state of grace but still have to pay for the temporal punishment due for sin:


“All who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their salvation; but after death they undergo purification , so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven.” PARA 1030 CCC

But one never knows how long their loved one will have to spend in this place they call Purgatory. This is very disturbing for many reasons. First of all, the concept of purgatory denies the sufficiency of Jesus’ death to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus fully satisfied God’s wrath that he has towards us because of our sins.

In spite of the fact that Roman Catholicism may teach that “the guilt has already been forgiven,” to say that there is something more that needs to be done in order to remove “the temporal punishment due to sins” is pure blasphemy! This is what God’s Word has to say:

“Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.  Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD will never count against him.” (Romans 4:7,8)

Many people are wondering if Pope Francis is trying to send out a cryptic  prophetic, terrifying, message since he began recommending the following book as one that he wants everyone to read:

“The book he wants everyone to read is centered around two main people — the Antichrist and the Catholic pope. Seriously, we couldn’t make this stuff up.” (SOURCE)

Only God knows what will take place during these meetings with Pope Francis, regardless of the many who are predicting that an end times scenario is about to unfold. Whatever happens, God is still in control.

The most important thing for each of us to focus on is to make sure that we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by placing our complete trust in Him and His propitiatory sacrifice that He made on our behalf that completely satisfied God’s wrath that He has towards each of us because of our sins. Our salvation (being accepted by God), does not depend on our good works and obeying the commandments; it is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. God’s Word is clear:

“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!” (Galatians 2:21)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8,9)

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope — the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good.” (Titus 2:11-14)

In spite of Pope Francis’ statement rejecting the faith of  “those who believe you can have a personal direct and immediate relationship with Jesus Christ outside of the communion and mediation of the church” by calling them “temptations” that “are dangerous and harmful,” we must choose instead to believe what God’s Word has to say:

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men — the testimony given in its proper time.” (1 Timothy 2:5)


“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

“And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and He is in heaven.” (Matthew 23:9)

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation.  He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.  The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.  How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death so that we may serve the living God!” (Hebrews 9:11-14)

“For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; He entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.  Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.  Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world.  But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself.  Just as man is destined to die once and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.” (Hebrews 9:24-28)

“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” (1 Peter 3:18)

“For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.  But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.  Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.  So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.” (Galatians 3:21-24)

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  (Romans 5:8)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God –not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”  (1 John 4:10)

“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but because of His mercy.”  (Titus 3:4,5)

“Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:11-13)
