MATTHEW 27:1-54 KJV

1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.

Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

10 And gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.

11 And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

15 Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

16 And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

29 And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

32 And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

36 And sitting down they watched him there;

37 And set up over his head his accusation written, This Is Jesus The King Of The Jews.

38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

39 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

41 Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

42 He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

43 He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

44 The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

As you can tell by reading the passage above, Scripture makes it very clear that many  amazing things happened during the time that Jesus Christ was on the cross and at the very moment of His death. What many observed during that time was enough to convince them that He truly was –and is — who He claimed to be! Even one of the two thieves on the cross had a change of mind as he watched Jesus and saw such an obvious expression of true love and forgiveness that He showed towards those who crucified and mocked Him as He hung in agony during those six hours. Here is a portion of what took place as recorded in the gospel of Luke:

“And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.  And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.” (Luke 23:32-46)

Sadly, today there are many who still mock Him and deny who He revealed Himself to be.

There is much debate taking place concerning what day Jesus Christ actually died on, as well as many false teachings circulating concerning where Jesus went and what actually happened during the time that He died and arose from the dead. The only way that we can come to a Biblical understanding on these issues and others is to examine Scripture in context, and to compare Scripture with Scripture. Here are two portions that I quick captured from two very good articles written by Mike Oppenheimer of Let Us Reason Ministries that I thought might help clear up some of the confusion that some of you may be experiencing. When time allows, please consider reading the full articles by clicking on the links below the quick captured sections. I pray they will help give you a better understanding on these topics and help you to think Biblically in the midst of so much confusion that is taking place these days concerning many issues, some of which have a damaging effect on the very character and nature of God and the gospel itself!

NOTE:

Please do not consider this as being an endorsement of Mike Oppenheimer and his  ministry. I am only sharing this teaching because it lines up with Scripture. We must all be Bereans and make sure that we constantly test every teaching of every person to make sure that it lines up with Scripture. If not, we must reject it, pray for discernment, and search the Scriptures while asking God to reveal the truth to us on issues that may be causing us some confusion. A teacher may be presenting solid Biblical truth on many issues, and may be way off on another issue which could lead us into some very dangerous false teachings and away from Biblical truth, so we must always be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s warnings and check things out very carefully!

Sadly, there are many today who have never heard or who have not yet come to grasp  the glorious good news concerning the fact that Jesus Christ’s death and His “once for all” sacrifice was sufficient to pay for the sins of every person, no matter how vile or wicked they may be. Yet each person must choose to receive this free gift of salvation by placing their complete trust in Jesus Christ’s sinless life, His substitutionary atoning sacrifice, and His glorious resurrection from the dead as being enough, and no longer trusting in anything they can do to try and earn His forgiveness. If you have not come to the point of understanding your sinfulness in the light of His complete Holiness, I pray that you will consider all that God did to provide a way for you to have a relationship with Him by sending His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to die in your place, and that you will choose to believe this good news and place your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation. What rejoicing you will do when you come to grasp the depth of the love that God has for you and the high price that was paid to free you from your sin and guilt –if only you will receive this precious gift that was paid with the high price of the blood of Jesus Christ. Time is running out, and tomorrow may be too late for some of you, for tomorrow is never promised to anyone!

Now back to the subject of the veil in the temple being torn from top to bottom:

First we need to be aware of the fact that the veil was not a thin, sheer curtain. The veil was approximately four inches thick, and each of the ten veils/curtains was forty two feet long and six feet wide. (Exodus 26:1,2) In Hebrews Chapters 7 through 10 especially, God’s Word gives us a clear understanding of the role of the High Priest and contrasts this with all that Jesus Christ accomplished for us through His “once for all” sacrifice on the cross. At the very moment of His death, the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom signifying that God has accepted the sacrifice of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ,  on our behalf and removed the barrier that separated us from His presence. If we will receive what Jesus did on our behalf we can now come into the very presence of God Himself:

“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; and having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)  (Hebrews 10:17-23)

The truth presented in those three chapters was enough to open my eyes as a Catholic to see that the sacrificial system of the Catholic church was not only unnecessary, but also by continually offering the Sacrifice of the Mass it was declaring that Jesus Christ’s death was not sufficient to fully pay for our sins! Here are just a few of the many passages of Scripture in the book of Hebrews that opened my eyes to the truth concerning all that Jesus Christ accomplished for us:

“For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: who serve unto the example and ‘shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shown to thee in the mount. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the new covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, a new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.” (Hebrews 8:3-13)

“Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your consciences from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:6-14)

Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Hebrews 9:21-28)

Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (Hebrews 10:8-23)

Dear reader, you who are striving to be good enough to be accepted by God, or you who may think that you can never be forgiven by God because of all of the wrong things that you have done, believe the good news of the gospel and place your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation.

Dear Catholic, Jesus Christ longs to fill your very heart with His Holy Spirit! He is not contained in a wafer and awaiting your visit to the tabernacle as it sits upon the altar or as the wafer is being exposed in the Monstrance during the time of Eucharistic Adoration as you are being taught, and as I was also once taught. He is now seated at the right hand of God where He intercedes for us. (Romans 8:34)

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18)

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-14)

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Hebrews 1:1-3)

Below is a beautiful song that I have never heard before, that presents the truth in Scripture; because Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, and because of His shed blood and His death on our behalf was accepted by God the Father to satisfy the wrath that He has towards us because of our sins, if we choose to place our trust in this only provision that God made for us in order for this barrier of sin that separates us from a thrice Holy God to be removed, we can then humbly, but boldly come before the very throne of God and make our requests known to Him. This is the good news of the Biblical gospel encapsulated in song form!

Here are the lyrics:

In the Holy of Holies
Behind that heavy veil
sat the ark of the covenant
Where the Most High dwelt
And only the High Priest
Could enter therein
To offer up a sacrifice
For atonement of sin
But the veil was rent in instant
Revealing that holy place
For on hill nearby on a rugged cross
Justice met Grace

Now I can go into the Holy of Holies
I can kneel and make my petitions known
I can go into the Holy of Holies
And although I’m just a common man
Because of God’s redemption plan
I can boldly approach the throne

The blood of sacrifices is no more required
For the blood of Christ, the spotless Lamb
Completely paid the price
In the sacrifice of worship, we’ll open heaven’s doors
Allowing us to enter in the presence of the Lord

Now I can go into the Holy of Holies
I can kneel and make my petitions known
I can go into the Holy of Holies
And although I’m just a common man
Because of God’s redemption plan
I can boldly approach the throne

UPDATE:

Some of you may be wondering why I didn’t post the Conference ‘Examining Reformed Theology’ with George Bryson like I originally planned on doing. Lord willing, I will share with you at some point in the future why I changed my mind, but I want to assure you that I still intend on addressing Calvinism and Reformed Theology in light of Scripture as soon as I am finished with the series on Catholicism that I am presently writing.

I also need to apologize to all of you again for not writing anything recently, but this month has been a very hard month for me emotionally which made it hard for me to be able to concentrate in order to write anything. As of this past Thursday I no longer have the job that I truly enjoyed, which was caring for a precious little girl ever since she was only five weeks old. She brought so much joy and laughter into my life, and now, even though the joy of the Lord is my strength, my life feels rather empty and lonely right now. I am so happy that her mom will be able to spend more time with her now, but that also means that I will need to be looking for another job. As much as I would like to get a job writing, I realize that the possibility of that happening is not very likely, unless, of course God miraculously brings an opportunity my way. So I will be continuing to look for another childcare job in the days and weeks ahead, but I will also be spending much of my free time now praying for God to help me as I continue to finish writing the posts on the supposed Apparitions of the Virgin Mary and more installments in the series in which I am comparing the teachings in the Catechism of the Catholic Church to Scriptures in a Catholic New Testament out of my desire to help Catholics see the need to test what they are being taught against the truth of God’s Word to see if what they are being taught is true or not, as we all must do. (Acts 17:11)

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

Capture Test the spirits 1 John 4 1

Have you unknowingly been lured into New Age mystical practices by teachers claiming that certain “new ways to pray” will bring you closer to God? Have you signed up for classes in Spiritual Formation, or has your pastor been preaching on it? Have you been involved in “ChristianYoga, Centering Prayer, Contemplative Prayer, or Lectio Divina? Well, this series of posts in the new Category of posts that I have entitled, ‘MYSTICISM MONDAYS,‘ will attempt to not only peel back the layers of the many forms of spiritual deception that have been entering the church in order to reveal them to you as being lies of the enemy of our souls, but also the intention of these posts is to present you with the truth of God’s Word in order to expose the spiritual dangers of these practices.

Lord willing, at least once a month on a Monday, I will be sharing teachings with you from Christian experts on the subject, some of whom have even been personally involved with these dangerous practices. All of these teachings that I will be presenting to you will focus on many Scriptures; those who speak on these topics will not just be talking about these practices, because it’s only the truth of God’s Word that will expose the dangers of these practices and set a deceived person free.

Lord willing, when time allows, I will be writing many posts in the future zeroing in on specific Christian programming and Christian teachers who are promoting these deceptive practices, (I recently posted a very lengthy one concerning Moody Radio which I recently updated, and when time allows I will complete it by adding notes that I took as I listened to many of Moody’s, now cancelled, Midday Connection programs) but since my time is getting rather limited these days because of other important responsibilities that I now have, I will oftentimes simply be sharing a video or an article with you.

When time allows, I truly hope and pray that you will take the time to listen to these messages or read these articles, as well as read the upcoming posts that — Lord willing — I will be writing on these important topics so that you can be aware of these false teachings that are deceiving many Christians –possibly even you!

Please be sure that you test the teachings of all those whom you listen to against Scripture as God’s Word shows us that we are to do (Acts 17:11) so that you will never be deceived.

I hope and pray that all of you who are Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ are constantly testing what your pastors and teachers are presenting to you against the truth of God’s Word as we are shown in Scripture to do (Acts 17:11) no matter how long they have been in ministry, because many pastors and teachers are now embracing and presenting New Age mystical practices to their people through things such as yoga, as well as  though meditation practices which often times are found in Spiritual Formation classes and are referred to as Contemplative Prayer, silent prayer, Lectio Divina, Taize, etc.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

Mysticism in the church is one of the many ways that Satan is now using to bring about the oneness and unity that is being promoted in the world to bring about the One World Religion. Sadly, many pastors and teachers lack discernment and have now become tools in Satan’s hands to promote these mystical practices. We must keep in mind what God says in His Word:

“Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Are you a follower of  a man (or woman) and their ministry? Or are you a follower of Jesus Christ? Will you be a Berean and examine the Scriptures daily to see if what they are saying is true? Will you walk in the light and in truth and leave, if necessary, if Yoga and other mystical practices  are being promoted at your church? Or are the relationships that you have developed over the years while you have attended your church more important to you than being obedient to God and the truth presented in His Word? True followers of Jesus Christ will follow Him –no matter what the cost.

“For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.” (2 Corinthians 2:9)

Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

Today I would like to share some very good information with you concerning Mysticism and the Emergent Church from a ministry that I recently discovered through someone on Facebook who has been posting some of their videos. The name of this ministry is Youth Apologetic Training. Please continue to test everything that you hear and read in light of Scripture, but so far everything that I have seen and heard seems to be very Biblical. Although this series on the Emergent Church was written in 2013, it is still very relevant for us today. This article addresses labyrinths, yoga, Contemplative spirituality, breath prayers, mantras, and more. You can also click on links to listen to many podcasts concerning the Emerging Church, and many other topics, as well.

Because of how drastically our world has changed, and is continuing to change, especially morally and spiritually, I have a deep concern and burden for the youth of today, and I know that many of you do, as well. I hope and pray that you will find this website to be a good source for helpful information for you to help your children and teens, and that you will be able to share some of this information with them, as well, so that they might learn to discern and realize just how relevant God’s Word is for today. The Bible is not an old book with outdated information, as some sadly seem to think it is. God does not change, and His Word does not change either. It is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and with 100% accuracy it has already revealed what will happen before it has happened, and it will continue to do so, thus verifying the Bible is indeed the very Word of God!

The Bible is filled with prophecies! It is said that almost one third of Scripture is prophetic. Here is a very good article by Let Us Reason Ministries for those of you who would like to read more on this subject:

If you had a chance to watch the videos from Calvary Chapel Cypress‘ ‘CHANGES WITHIN THE CHURCH ROUND TABLE MEETING with Pastor Chris Quintana, Roger Oakland, Xavier Ries, as well as the videos from Hosanna Christian Fellowship’s Conference,  ‘THE REMAINING AND ONGOING DANGERS OF THE EMERGENT CHURCH MOVEMENT with Roger Oakland, Warren B Smith, Paul Smith, and Xavier Ries, (I also posted these videos further below for you) then I am sure you realize that the Emergent Church Movement is alive and well today! This movement elevates having experiences with God over the Word of God, and, sadly, they do not place very much emphasis on God’s Word at all; they do not acknowledge it as absolute truth, but rather something that can be debated and adjusted in light of how the culture is  today.

Please pray and take time to read and to study God’s Word so that you will not be one of the many who are being deceived and led astray by these movements and mystical practices that are coming into many churches these days!

“I am the LORD: that is my name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” (Isaiah 42:8,9)

“For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”     (2 Peter 1:16-21)

“Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:1,2)

“When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? Even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.” (Deuteronomy 12:29-32)

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (Revelation 22:18-20)

EMERGING CHURCH ROUND TABLE MEETING – POSTED BY ROGER OAKLAND

Posted by Hosanna Christian Fellowship (Please read the concerns that I addressed in my post about what Xavier Ries said in the first video at the 1:27:56 – 1:28:09 minute mark in this Conference by clicking HERE and reading the 2/6/16 UPDATE, or just pray for discernment before you listen to these videos. Always make sure that you test everything that you listen to and read against Scripture. – Acts 17:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:21).

The following videos from the Remaining and Ongoing Dangers of the Emergent Church Movement Conference were posted by Roger Oakland. For whatever his reason may have been, he chose not to include any of Xavier Ries’ presentations from this Conference, which I am thankful for, because even though Xavier had a lot of good things to say, he did cause a lot of confusion for many as they watched and expressed their concerns during the live streaming of this event.

Don’t forget about the Calvary Chapel Cypress Defending The Faith Conference coming up this weekend! If they live stream this event or upload it onto YouTube, Lord willing, I will post it here on my blog for you.

Capture Study to show thyself approved - 2 Timothy 2-15

Welcome to another post in the category of posts entitled, TEACHING THURSDAY.’ Lord willing, about once a month on Thursdays, I will be posting either a video, an article, or some form of teaching  in which a *Biblically sound teacher *(Biblically sound because what they say and teach lines up with the truth of God’s Word,  Acts 17:11) will either expose an unbiblical movement, teaching, or a practice that is leading many Christians astray, or present some type of Biblical teaching to help you grow in a deeper understanding of God’s Word on different topics. Some of these teachings may be essentials of the Christian faith, and others may be things that we can debate but not divide over.

It is my hope and prayer that by presenting these teachings to you, many more Christians will not only come to realize the importance of testing the words of men (and women) against the truth of God Word so they will not be deceived, but also it is my hope and prayer that many Christians will come to know the joy of learning God’s Word.

Now on with today’s TEACHING THURSDAY:

If there’s one thing that each of us must be certain about before our life comes to an end,  it’s understanding how one gets to heaven according to what God has to say, and not according to any religion or belief system. Are you truly willing to place your eternal destiny in the hands of someone else, or in what you think is true? Or will you be willing to watch this series and examine the top ten  ways that people think they will enter heaven and see how each of them compares to what God’s Word has to say?

If you have not yet come to a point in your life where you have realized that you are a sinner in the sight of a thrice Holy God, and you never have been filled with a godly sorrow for all the wrong that you have done, and have not yet joyfully received the gift of salvation by placing your full trust only in what Jesus Christ, God in human flesh did when He died in your place upon the cross, and if you still have not yet come to understand that Jesus took upon Himself the full wrath of God that was intended for each of us out of obedience to God, His Father, and because of His love for us, and if you are still trying to earn your way into heaven, then, sadly, I’m pretty sure that you will find what you believe among those top ten reasons.

Many believe that if they just do enough “good deeds” that will outweigh the bad things they have done throughout their lives, and therefore they are pretty certain that they will enter heaven after they die.

Others believe that they will get another chance after death by going to a place where they will undergo suffering for their sins in the purifying fires of purgatory in order  to be made ready for heaven.

Still there are others who believe they will come back as an entirely different person and be given a second, third, and even many more chances to make things right. But will people really be given another chance after they die?

Then there are those who believe that God and hell do not exist, and therefore they believe that the Bible is not the Word of God. But no matter how strongly a person may believe something, it doesn’t always mean that it’s true. For those of you who hold to those beliefs, I pray that you will at least consider watching the following video series even if it’s just out of curiosity.

No matter what you may believe, when time allows, I hope that you will watch this series with Pastor Bob DeWaay and Martha Mac of SO4J (Sold Out 4 Jesus) and learn what God has to say about what you might really believe to be true, because you can’t afford to be wrong when your eternal destiny is at stake.

Yes, God is a God of love, but because He is also just, He must deal with sin. He dealt with it at the cross and paid your debt to sin in full when He poured out His complete wrath intended for you and all of us upon His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, but if you do not come humbly before Him and admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior and place your trust in God’s only provision that He made for us so that the barrier of sin that separates each of us from Him because of His pure holiness would then be removed, you will one day have to pay for your own sin and receive God’s wrath because you chose to reject His love and forgiveness. I pray that God will prepare your heart to receive the truth that is presented in the following videos, and that you will one day place your trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation rather than placing your trust in the deceptive teachings of men that offer no real hope or assurance of salvation.

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.” We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with Him on the sacred mountain. We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:16-21)

“Just as man is destined to die once and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.” (Hebrews  9:27,28)

“He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11b)

“Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (Hebrews 1:3)

“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that having been justified by His grace we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:4-8a)

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:9,10)

“This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word has no place in our lives.” (1 John 1:5-10)

“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)

“You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that –and shudder.” (James 2:19)

“Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:10-12)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.  Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.” (John 3:16-21)

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord…” (Acts 3:19)

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal live, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.” (John 3:36)

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

Capture Church's greatest mistakes occur when people honor what leader says without testing against Scripture - picThis poem comes with many warnings intended to cause Christians — and everyone — to think very carefully about what you choose to believe and accept as truth. It is actually a prelude to a post that — Lord willing — I will be writing later on this year in which I will be exposing certain false teachings that have been taught by some very prominent pastors and Bible teachers.

In this upcoming post you will be presented with very detailed information that will bring you to a point of having to make a choice. Will you choose to believe God’s Word that will clearly reveal the truth on the certain issues I will be addressing? Or will you continue to place your trust in the man (or woman) who is teaching things that are contrary to the unchanging truth of God’s Word? The choice will be completely yours, but the choice that you make may come with eternal consequences. Heaven or hell. There are only two places to choose from concerning where you will spend eternity.

In whom have you place your trust? Is it in God and His Word alone? Or, without even realizing it, have some of you placed your complete trust in the teachings and words of certain men or women in ministry that you highly respect, and you see no reason to even consider the possibility that they may be in error, and therefore you don’t see the need to even search the Scriptures to see if the things they say are true or not? If you answered yes to that final very long question, then you are one of many who could easily be deceived by the teachings of men.

Capture Stay Alert Satan roaring lion picAll of us have probably been deceived at one point in time in some way, but in order to avoid being deceived we must stay alert and never forget the many warnings in Scripture concerning false teachers. We must be certain to test the words of every pastor and teacher we listen to, as God’s Word warns us to do. (Acts 17:11) (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

Capture Satan angel of light pic 2Satan, the great deceiver, comes as an angel of light. Some Christians have lost sight of the fact that God’s Word warns us in that same passage of Scripture that “his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness” and therefore have failed to stay alert to the fact that “even from our own number, men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.” (Acts 20:30)

It’s time for us as Christians to be alert and sober minded. Biblical truth is being compromised by many Christian leaders today, and oftentimes it is sacrificed for the sake of unity. Many pastors have lost sight of their mission to teach God’s Word to believers and to equip them so they can discern truth from error. Instead they are seeking to build their own kingdoms based on their own vision casting ideas, and therefore they are building on a foundation of sinking sand instead of on Jesus Christ, the solid Rock.

I am one of many Christians who have been deceived and disappointed by Christian leaders in whom I highly respected and placed my trust in. However, when God opened my eyes to see the truth, I finally realized that we are to be followers of Jesus Christ alone, and believe in His Word alone, regardless of how highly respected a pastor or teacher may be.

By refusing to test the teachings of every pastor and teacher against the truth of God’s Word, we as Christians are elevating them to the same level as God because we are acting as if the words of these men (or women) are infallible. What if these teachers are wrong? What if they mislead you because you are failing to test their words against God’s Word? What if you’re placing your eternal destiny on the line by believing their word over God’s Word?

I wrote the following poem hoping that God will use it in some way to cause you to carefully consider the many warnings in Scripture concerning false teachers and to take these warnings seriously! Please do not place your trust in any man! Test their every teaching against the truth of God’s Word to see if what they say lines up with the truth of God’s Word. Place your trust in Jesus Christ alone and in the truth of His Word alone so that you will never be led astray!

Thank you for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my poems and posts.

God Bless You

The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” (1 Peter 1:23-25) KJV

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when  men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 3:16,17-4:1-4)

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:6-8)

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in your name drive out demons, and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from Me, you evildoers!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them — bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.” (2 Peter 2:1-3)

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)

“Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” (1 Timothy 4:16)

“Therefore I declare to you that I am innocent of the blood of all men.  For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.  Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.  Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood.  I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.  Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.  Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:26-31)

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

“Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” (Acts 17:11)

Capture Truth Lies picWHAT IF

What if it turns out that what you were taught and firmly believe to be

true, simply is not true

What if the intended important meaning in a passage of Scripture is

obscured by what is taught instead to you

What if the pastor or teacher in whom you place all your trust, teaches,

at times, from human reasoning, instead of from the truth of God’s

Word

What if you continue to reject the many warnings concerning these

teachers, warnings that you presently hear and so often have heard

What if you fail to test the words of these teachers against God’s Word,

truth that God has promised to preserve beyond the end of days

If it’s because you think so highly of them and believe they could never

err, then you are giving men undue  praise

Are you being taught by the Spirit of God, or are your thoughts under

man’s control

What if you are led to believe a lie that will cost you your very soul

Do you think that you can blame these teachers on the day you stand

before the Lord

Your refusal to test their teachings may come with eternal consequences

that you can’t afford

I pray that, with reverent fear, you will seek God in His Word for the

truth; ask Him to give you eyes to see

His truth that will set you free to rejoice, now, and throughout eternity

Capture Pope FrancisSOURCE

While I am still in the process of gathering more information and attempting to finally complete Part 2 of my testimony, (as well as catching up on cleaning) I felt compelled to take a few minutes to express my concerns — and more importantly, many Scriptures — because I am deeply troubled by the above comments made by the newly elected Pope –Pope Francis. Yes, Pope Francis seems to be a very humble man, choosing not to wear the elaborate robes decorated and trimmed with jewels and gold, as probably all popes in the past have worn, and he has chosen to live in a ‘much more modest Vatican hotel,’ instead of in the official papal apartments, (according to this article) and  as revealed in this article, he drives a 20 year old Renault which was given to him as a gift from an elderly priest, instead of being chauffeured  around.  But when it all comes down to his messages that he shares with Catholics worldwide, are his words giving life?  Or are they leading many astray by giving false assurance and words that appeal to one’s fallen, sinful, human nature, leading them to eternal separation from God and into a real place of eternal torment, called hell?  (Matthew 25:41, Jude 1:7, Rev. 20:14,15 … Just a few of the many verses on hell).

Is Pope Francis now attempting to present an ‘all inclusive gospel’ that some pastors are sadly preaching today in order to be accepted my many who are not even Catholic?  Even Michael Day, the writer of the above article, recognizes and states that some of the comments made by Pope Francis are…  “…likely to enhance his progressive reputation…” Or…is Pope Francis  preaching ‘another Jesus’ or ‘another gospel’ as God’s Word clearly warns us about?

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel– which is really no gospel at all.  Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.  But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!  As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!”  (Galatians 1:6-9)

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.  For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

More and more we are witnessing a clear departure from Biblical truth as leaders of many denominations are abandoning sound doctrine and preaching a gospel that can only be described as either “doctrines of devils” or messages that satisfy “itching ears,” and ultimately have no power whatsoever to save!

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils…”      (1 Timothy 4:1)

“Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction.  For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine.  Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”  (2 Timothy 4:2-4)

“As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies.  These promote controversies rather than God’s work–which is by faith.” (1 Timothy 1:3,4)

Paul, addressing the believers in Corinth, gives them this strong warning:

“Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.  By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you.  Otherwise you have believed in vain.”  (1 Corinthians 15:1,2)

Take the above message of Pope Francis to atheists, for example.  If an atheist (or anyone, for that matter) believes his words that “You don’t have to believe in God to go to heaven,” then what does that do to the gospel??  First of all, it makes an atheist unaware of the reality that there is a God, and that He is completely holy, and that each of us are depraved and wretched sinners in need of a savior, and that we will each stand before Him one day to give an account for our lives. And worse yet, it renders Jesus’ atoning sacrifice on the cross that fully satisfied God’s wrath towards us for our sins, unnecessary and pointless! Jesus Christ, the Son of God who came and lived a sinless life and willingly gave His life, suffering a brutal death beyond comprehension  to redeem us from our sins, then suffered and died needlessly –if we are to believe the words of Pope Francis, that “non-believers will be forgiven by God if they followed their consciences,”  as stated in the above article.  And what about those who have deadened their consciences and have brutally abused and even murdered others by living according to their consciences?   These concerns (and many more) fill me with determination to complete my testimony so that Catholics can be aware of the true gospel that leads to life!

I will end with Scriptures that clearly presents God and His plan of salvation, and therefore makes believing in God an important part of  the true gospel; God’s truth that sets men free!

“God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

“This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” (1 John 4:9,10)

“God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”                      (1 John 5:12)

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.” (John 3:36)

“No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.” (1 John 2:23)

“Jesus said,  “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  (John 14:6)

“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”  (Galatians 2:21)”It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.  He is ” ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone. ‘  Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:10-12)

Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. So be on your guard!  Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:26-31)

Even though I am excited,  yet overwhelmed with the task I have taken on to write and present to you the teachings of the Catholic church, comparing them to God’s Word, the Bible, the concerns I have over this statement and others by Pope Francis now fill me with determination and strongly motivate me to finish ‘Part 2’ of my testimony.  It will not only give you a clear picture of the gospel according to Rome that gives no assurance of salvation, but also will present to you the life-giving message of hope and assurance of salvation that I found by reading the true gospel that God clearly revealed to me as I read a Catholic New Testament Bible.  Lord willing, with His help, I hope to have that completed within a week or so.
