Capture Test the spirits 1 John 4 1

Have you unknowingly been lured into New Age mystical practices by teachers claiming that certain “new ways to pray” will bring you closer to God? Have you signed up for classes in Spiritual Formation, or has your pastor been preaching on it? Have you been involved in “ChristianYoga, Centering Prayer, Contemplative Prayer, or Lectio Divina? Well, this series of posts in the new Category of posts that I have entitled, ‘MYSTICISM MONDAYS,‘ will attempt to not only peel back the layers of the many forms of spiritual deception that have been entering the church in order to reveal them to you as being lies of the enemy of our souls, but also the intention of these posts is to present you with the truth of God’s Word in order to expose the spiritual dangers of these practices.

Lord willing, at least once a month on a Monday, I will be sharing teachings with you from Christian experts on the subject, some of whom have even been personally involved with these dangerous practices. All of these teachings that I will be presenting to you will focus on many Scriptures; those who speak on these topics will not just be talking about these practices, because it’s only the truth of God’s Word that will expose the dangers of these practices and set a deceived person free.

Lord willing, when time allows, I will be writing many posts in the future zeroing in on specific Christian programming and Christian teachers who are promoting these deceptive practices, (I recently posted a very lengthy one concerning Moody Radio which I updated last weekend, and when time allows I will complete it by adding notes that I took as I listened to many of Moody’s, now cancelled, Midday Connection programs) but since my time is getting rather limited these days because of other important responsibilities that I now have, I will oftentimes simply be sharing a video or an article with you.

When time allows, I truly hope and pray that you will take the time to listen to these messages or read these articles, as well as read the upcoming posts that — Lord willing — I will be writing on these important topics so that you can be aware of these false teachings that are deceiving many Christians –possibly even you!

Please be sure that you test the teachings of all those whom you listen to against Scripture as God’s Word shows us that we are to do (Acts 17:11) so that you will never be deceived.

I hope and pray that all of you who are Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ are constantly testing what your pastors and teachers are presenting to you against the truth of God’s Word as we are shown in Scripture to do (Acts 17:11) no matter how long they have been in ministry, because many pastors and teachers are now embracing and presenting New Age mystical practices to their people through things such as yoga, as well as  though meditation practices which often times are found in Spiritual Formation classes and are referred to as Contemplative Prayer, silent prayer, Lectio Divina, Taize, etc.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

Mysticism in the church is one of the many ways that Satan is now using to bring about the oneness and unity that is being promoted in the world to bring about the One World Religion. Sadly, many pastors and teachers lack discernment and have now become tools in Satan’s hands to promote these mystical practices. We must keep in mind what God says in His Word:

“Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Are you a follower of  a man (or woman) and their ministry? Or are you a follower of Jesus Christ? Will you be a Berean and examine the Scriptures daily to see if what they are saying is true? Will you walk in the light and in truth and leave, if necessary, if Yoga and other mystical practices  are being promoted at your church? Or are the relationships that you have developed over the years while you have attended your church more important to you than being obedient to God and the truth presented in His Word? True followers of Jesus Christ will follow Him –no matter what the cost.

“For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.” (2 Corinthians 2:9)

Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

On February 5, 2016, Larry DeBruyn of GUARDING HIS FLOCK was a guest on Tom McMahon’s radio program Search The Scriptures 24/7.  The title of their discussion was Have You Contemplated Your Spirituality? Some of the things they discussed were Contemplative Prayer, solitude, silence, the desert fathers, what is true spirituality, and more. Everything was examined in light of Scripture, including the life of Jesus to see if any of these practices were in any way presented in Scripture as an example for us to follow.

When time allows I hope you will listen to these programs so that you might grow in your understanding of how mysticism is rapidly entering many churches these days and leading many astray. Please don’t allow yourself to be one of the many who are being deceived by these spiritual practices that attempt to lure you in through your emotions. Stand fast against the wiles of the devil! (Ephesians 6:11)

For those of you who would rather read the articles, or for those of you who may have some type of a hearing problem, you can read Part 1 and Part 2 of their discussion at the links below which are actually the transcripts of their conversations.

PART 1 – HAVE YOU CONTEMPLATED YOUR SPIRITUALITY?

PART 2 – HAVE YOU CONTEMPLATED YOUR SPIRITUALITY?

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:10-17)

“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.” (Matthew 24:3,4)

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”         (1 Timothy 4:1)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men. after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

“Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:26-31)

Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

Roger Oakland of UNDERSTAND THE TIMES, and Pastor Chris Quintana of CALVARY CHAPEL CYPRESS discuss End Times from a Biblical perspective. They also address the fact how many Christians are unaware of what is taking place in the name of Christianity and how we all need to wake up. Contemplative Prayer, the Emergent Church, doctrines of demons, and many more things are discussed. Lord willing, I will continue to add any new programs they do in this series to the Playlist that I have added for you below).

“People are following after ideas, after men and their methods, rather than following after God…” ~Roger Oakland

“I can’t tell you how many times, even like he [Roger Oakland] has mentioned kind of the mysticism that really is so entrenched in a lot of the old liturgical, the older denominations, are now making their way into the mainstream  and people who should know better are falling into it incrementally…” ~Pastor Chris Quintana

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:2-4)

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:6-9)

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.” (2 Peter 2:1)

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” (2 Corinthians 4:1-5)

“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

As I mentioned to you in a few previous posts, I am in the process of writing a very detailed post concerning Mysticism. Today I spent at least eight more hours working on it and it is very close to being fully completed. Lord willing, I am hoping to have it completed before the end of this week. So for today’s Mysticism Monday, in order to continue to inform you and warn you of how New Age mysticism is entering many churches today, I would like to share a video with you that was put together by a dear sister-in-Christ known as Psalm86 on YouTube.

And now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

Capture Eyes with tears 1

UPDATED 12/17/15 7:48 P.M. & 12/19/15 10:20 A.M.

Welcome to another post in the series of posts that I have entitled, Warning You With Tears Wednesdays. Lord willing, at least once a month on Wednesdays I will be writing and sharing one of these posts with you so that I can make you all aware of some important information that I come across on the Internet that you may not have heard about.Since I knew that I would soon be starting a new part-time job (which I  started in June) and that my free time would then be somewhat limited, I was trying to think of something that I could write on a regular basis that would be short and to the point (at least that was my intention). And since I am a detective-at-heart and desire to make you all aware of the importance of testing things that pastors and teachers say (and do) in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11), the idea to do these posts — as well as the name — came to my mind in November of 2014, based on Acts 20:26-31:

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”

So with all of that in mind, here is what I’d like to share with you in today’s WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY:

1) It’s so easy to get caught up in the joy of the Christmas season especially while listening to so many beautiful Christmas songs. However, we must never let our guard down and must always test things things in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11) so that we will never be deceived *and so that we will never cause someone else to be led into deception! *(Keep that thought in mind, because I will be talking about that in an upcoming post that — Lord willing — I will be writing and sharing with you in January or February of 2016).  With all of that in mind, Tim Challies shares with us why “you’ve got to be careful what you share online” IN THIS POSTI highly encourage you to read it when time allows. If you are short on time, let me just warn you: Do not be misled by the #ShareTheGift posts that you may see on Facebook and Twitter! I discovered what that was last year and will briefly talk about that in my upcoming post that I mentioned to you previously.

2) Have you ever heard of quantum jumping before? I saw these adds that popped up as I was trying to read my new emails the other day:

Capture Quantum Jumping - First of two adds on Quantum Jumping shown on Yahoo while I was reading emails

I knew that it was connected to the New Age Movement, but at first I simply thought that it involved a person just continuously and vigorously jumping until they reached an altered state of consciousness like people do in dynamic meditation. A practice which has actually caused some people to literally lose their minds! (See video below – Gods of the New Age).

However, after this second add popped up that talked about ‘jumping into your subconscious…’Capture Quantum Jumping - Another add on Yahoo promoting this occult practice

…I decided to do some research on it since I am a detective-at-heart, and discovered that it is as equally dangerous as dynamic meditation but much more alluring to those who are unaware of the dangers involved in connecting with the world of the supernatural! Although the people in this video that I found may truly believe they have jumped into another dimension and connected with their “twin self,” and that they are receiving “information from another dimension,” what they don’t realize is that they are actually receiving information from demonic spirits. Listen carefully to what all of these people say and see what you think:

So then I decided to search for information to share with you from a  trusted source in order to give you a Biblical perspective on this, and I found another very good related article written by Gaylene Goodroad which was posted on one of my top favorite blogs —Herescope. If any of you read my last FALSE TEACHER FRIDAY post concerning Chuck Missler, Gaylene shares some more important information about him in the following article. Here is a quick capture from a portion of that article:

Capture QUANTUM TELEPORTING THROUGH TIME - GAYLENE GOODROAD - HERESCOPE(SOURCE) <– CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING, OR CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW).

QUANTUM TELEPORTING THROUGH TIME

3) Warren B Smith as well as Pastor Bob DeWaay have warned Christians about Quantum Physics and how certain aspects of these teachings are merging with Christianity in an attempt to lead many Christians astray. When time allows, please watch these video Playlists:

4) Glenn Chatfield of THE WATCHMAN’S BAGPIPES shares many good article with us on his blog. And, sadly, since there are many Christians who unfortunately look to Joyce Meyer for Biblical truth,  I’d like to draw your attention especially to the article that he linked to on his  latest RANDOM ABERRATIONS APOSTASIES AND HERESIES post:

WORD OF FAITH FALSE TEACHER – MEYER’S SHOCKING DOCTRINE AND HERESY – BY FRAN SANKEY

5) Hillsong Church trashes this Christmas song and makes it an unholy night with their rendition of Silent Night in the video below. Please pray for those in leadership, and please also pray for discernment for those who attend Hillsong Church. Here’s a quick capture from the video in case it is ever taken down:Capture Hillsong Church - Silent Night - YouTube

UPDATE 12/17/15: After this video brought outrage from the many Christians who saw it mainly over the past few days, Hillsong Church just decided to make this video “private” since I originally posted it here on Wednesday 12/16/15

However, I just found another copy. This video was uploaded today —  12/17/15 — by Geoffrey Grider of  NOW THE END BEGINS. I was stunned to see that it already has almost 30,000 views!! For those of you who have yet to see it, brace yourselves!! (UPDATE: Today, 12/19/15, it now has over 80,000 views!!

6) Just in case that version of Silent Night is still stuck in your head, here’s a beautiful version of it that I hope will then take its place. You’re welcome. 🙂

7) If you still are not convinced that those in leadership at Hillsong Church are dishonoring God by what they are presenting not only through their programs but especially through their teachings, (consider reading THIS POST for more information), then please consider watching this video when time allows:

8) I’ll end this post with an article by Bill Muehlenberg to help you see that even though those of us who name names and speak out in order to warn other Christians about what is taking place in the name of Christianity today may be called divisive and haters, Bill shares many Scriptures in his article to show us that “We are to warn fellow believers and we are to warn even non-believers,” and that “It is the most loving thing we can do.”

TO WARN IS TO LOVE- BILL MUEHLENBERG

These videos compare Hinduism to Christianity and shows how the New Age Movement is making its way into the church through Transcendental Meditation. This is being done by disguising these practices in somewhat Christian terminology and is now being called Contemplative Prayer, silent prayer, or breath prayers. These practices are almost always found in the Spiritual Formation teachings that are being presented at many churches these days.

Yoga classes are also being presented at many churches today and referred to as stretching exercises, but if you listen to the following video starting at around the 1:31 minute mark, you will hear the following:

“Yoga- the word means basically “to yoke; union.” The goal of the Hindu is to be yoked with Brahman. Brahman is the Hindu concept of God…” “Yoga, is in many ways the heart of Hinduism. There is no Hinduism without Yoga, and there is no Yoga without Hinduism.”

FULL VERSION: This version is the full presentation with a lot of information, and the audio is lined up to match the video, unlike the shorter version. You will also see an example of dynamic meditation that I mentioned at Point 2 above and hear just how dangerous this practice really is:

All of these teachings that I will be presenting to you will focus on many Scriptures; those who speak on these topics will not just be talking about these practices, because it’s only the truth of God’s Word that will expose the dangers of these practices and set a deceived person free.

Lord willing, when time allows, I will be writing many posts in the future zeroing in on specific Christian programming and Christian teachers who are promoting these deceptive practices, (One coming very soon –Lord willing) but since my time is getting rather limited these days because of other important responsibilities that I now have, I will oftentimes simply be sharing a video with you.

When time allows, I truly hope and pray that you will take the time to listen to these messages and read the upcoming posts on these important topics so that you can be aware of these false teachings that are deceiving many Christians –possibly even you.

Please be sure that you test the teachings of all those whom you listen to against Scripture as God’s Word shows us that we are to do (Acts 17:11) so that you will never be deceived.

Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

If there’s ever a topic that I cannot warn you enough about, it’s Spiritual Formation! Many churches today are presenting Spiritual Formation classes to the people in their churches not only by their own pastors and teachers, but also through the teachings of women such as Ruth Haley Barton and Mindy Caliguire, as well as offering Bible Studies by women such as *Beth Moore and *Priscilla Shirer. *(Consider reading THIS POST to learn about Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer). These women strongly promote unbiblical, New Age/New Spirituality mystical practices in their teachings! (More about these women in upcoming posts –Lord willing).

While these Spiritual Formation teachings may be presented to you as ways to help you grow in Christ, as well as to grow closer to Him and help you to become conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, the practices they incorporate into their teachings, such as Contemplative Prayer, Lectio Divina, silent prayer, and entering into “the silence,” are unbiblical; they are all forms of Eastern Meditation cloaked in somewhat Christian terminology. Instead of leading you closer to Jesus Christ, these practices will lead you away from Him and into spiritual deception and even into the world of the occult!

When teachings become more focused on leading you to have experiences with God, and less focused on teaching and preaching verse by verse through God’s Word, or when verses are taken out of context to make it mean something entirely different in order to promote these mystical practices, those should be huge red flags to you that the direction they are going in is unbiblical!

Consider checking your church’s web site and the classes that they offer, as well as the topics of the sermons that they present to you. If you see Spiritual Formation and/or any of the above forms of prayer or people that I previously mentioned, you need to be on guard!

If there is no doubt in your mind that these mystical practices are being presented at your church, then it very well may be time for you to prayerfully consider leaving your church and looking for another church where God’s Word is preached verse by verse through many books of the Bible, and the pastor guards his sheep by exposing these false teachings and false teachers.

I hope and pray that all of you who are Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ are constantly testing what your pastors and teachers are presenting to you against the truth of God’s Word as we are shown in Scripture to do (Acts 17:11) no matter how long they have been in ministry, because many pastors and teachers are now embracing and presenting Spiritual Formation teachings and mystical practices to their people.

Will you walk in the light and in truth and leave, if necessary, if Spiritual Formation and mystical practices  are being promoted at your church? Or are the relationships that you have developed over the years while you have attended your church more important to you than being obedient to God and the truth presented in His Word? True followers of Jesus Christ will follow Him –no matter what the cost.

“For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.” (2 Corinthians 2:9)

I hope and pray that you will guard yourselves and your precious children and leave your church if these mystical practices are being promoted and taught at your church before you and your loved ones are led into spiritual deception!

Lord willing, in future posts I will be going into greater depth concerning the pastors who are promoting Spiritual Formation (such as Rick Warren of Saddle Back Church and Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Church), and I will also be warning you about some of the other writers and speakers who are teaching these things. But for now, in order to continue to inform you and to show you how  mysticism is entering the church, here is what I would like to present to you for today’s Mysticism Monday.

When time allows, please pray for discernment and listen to the following  short presentation of Mike Oppenheimer and Ray Yungen as they discuss mysticism and the Emerging Church movement and compare everything  against Scripture. Many names of those who have written about these unbiblical,  mystical, new age practices are also mentioned so that you can become aware of what names to watch out for, because sadly, some of these writers and their books are being promoted by some pastors and teachers, and their books are sold in many Christian book stores, as well.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:25-31)

UPDATE:

Due to many responsibilities that I now have, and the need to get up very early for my new three days a week part-time job, I still have not had the time to finish my main post on Mysticism. Lord willing, I hope to have it finished within the next couple of weeks.

Capture Test the spirits 1 John 4 1Have you unknowingly been lured into New Age mystical practices by teachers claiming that certain “new ways to pray” will bring you closer to God? Have you signed up for classes in Spiritual Formation? Have you been involved in Centering Prayer , Contemplative Prayer, or Lectio Divina ? Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

In light of the fact that many church leaders are now promoting Spiritual Formation, Contemplative Prayer, learning to hear God speak to you, and many other unbiblical, spiritual, mystical practices these days, I’d like to share the following video Playlist with you. In it you will hear Ray Yungen give an in depth presentation concerning Contemplative Prayer, the Mystical Revolution and Reiki Healing, and more. (The sound quality of the third video is not as good as the other two, which is why I decided to add that one last). When time allows, please consider watching this video series so that you are aware of the dangers of these spiritual practices that are very strongly being promoted in many churches today. Not only do we need to know God’s Word very well, but we also need to be aware of what Satan is using these days to lure Christians away from seeking God in His Word in order to lead them down a dangerous path that leads into spiritual deception and the world of the occult.

Have you unknowingly been lured into New Age mystical practices by teachers claiming that certain “new ways to pray” will bring you closer to God? Have you signed up for classes in Spiritual Formation? Have you been involved in Centering Prayer, Contemplative Prayer, or Lectio Divina? Have you read books or taken part in “Bible studies” that focused on books written by people who claimed to teach you how to hear God speak to you, instead of focusing on books in the Bible? Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

Today’s Mysticism Monday will focus on one song, because it was a lesson to me that we have to even be cautious about the “Christian” songs we listen to! How often have we warned our children about certain music groups and the messages that are in their songs, and told them that they are not allowed to listen to them, and they first respond by saying, “Oh, we don’t listen to the words, we just like their music.” And yet we find that they can sing along with the whole song and they don’t realize that they are internalizing the message that each song is presenting to them, and their values and beliefs are being changed by them!

As Bible believing Christians who are true followers of Jesus Christ, we must guard our minds and our hearts and use discernment –even when listening to so-called Christian music!

There was a time when I really like the following song! Then one day as I was driving along, all of a sudden part of the lyrics caught my undivided attention, and I froze in disbelief at what I now clearly heard!

Below you will find the song that I would like to draw your attention to today. Although these Mysticism Monday posts mainly focus on how mysticism is entering the church, and even I don’t believe this song is actually sung in churches, it’s important to point out that Mark Schultz, the writer and singer of this song, is supposedly a Christian, and this song is played on many *Christian radio stations. *(Lord willing, I’ll be focusing on that subject in the very near future). Before you read any further in this post, please stop scrolling, pray for discernment, and then play this song and see if you can spot two serious problems in the lyrics of this song on your own:

In this song, Mark Schultz attempts to share some of the things that Jesus, the I AM, would say. However, at the 2:36 minute mark you will hear and see the lyrics: “I am the Universe,” which is a New Age concept that God dwells in everything. They believe that God is an energy force and that His presence permeates all of creation. Those who hold to these beliefs will oftentimes capitalize the word “creation” to reflect that belief.

Biblical Christianity is based on God’s Word, the Bible, which shows God’s omnipresence, meaning that since He is God and that He is a Spirit, He is not limited to a specific space; He is everywhere:

“But will God really dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heavens cannot contain You. How much less the temple I have built!” (1 Kings 8:27)

“Am I only a God nearby,” declares the LORD, “And not a God far away? Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the LORD. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 23:23,24)

It is very clear by what at least one person said in the comment section under the above song, that those who are part of the New Age/New Spirituality movement grasp what the message of his song is conveying:

Capture Comment on Mark Schultz song - I AM

At the 2:42 minute mark you will also hear and see these words that I heard which also shocked me that day:

“I am in every heart.”

This is also a New Age/New Spirituality belief. They believe that not only does God dwell in everything, but also He is in every person! God’s Word says something completely different by showing a distinction between believers and unbelievers:

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11,12)

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” “Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. ” “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 7:14-18)

As you can see from the quick capture below, Mark Schultz has been involved with at least one event that raises concerns because it featured New Age sympathizer,  Roma Downey:

Capture Mark Schulz - CCM United with Roma Downey(SOURCE)

Of all the songs Mark Schultz could have chosen to sing, he sang a portion of ‘I AM.’ Among the many others who took part in this event were Phillips, Craig, and Dean, (who are Modalists; they do not believe in the Trinity),  Amy Grant, 4Him, Russ Taft and the Imperials, Michael W. Smith (who I will also be addressing in the future –Lord willing), Steven Curtis Chapman, Sandy Patti, Nicole C Mullen, Evie, Steve Green, Michael English, Larnelle Harris, First Call, Laura Story, Dallas Holm, and Petra.

In the following video of the ‘WE ARE UNITED’ event, it is very telling that beginning at the 4:00 minute mark the song “United” was sung by ‘First Call.’

Back when this song first came out I must admit that I liked it a lot, but in light of the call for (unbiblical) unity we see taking place today, I now find it very disturbing. The message in this song may give us a crystal clear indication that the message of unity was the reason for this event. Here are some of the lyrics to that song:

“We may worship in different ways, we may praise Him, and yet spend all of our days living life divided, divided. Oh, but when we seek Him with open hearts, He removes the walls we’ve built that keep us apart, we trust Him to unite us. In our hearts we’re undivided, worshiping one Savior, one Lord. In our hearts we’re undivided, bound by His Spirit, forevermore. Undivided. It doesn’t matter if we agree, all He asks is that we serve Him faithfully, and that we love as He first loved us. He’s made us in His image, and in His eyes we are all the same. And though our methods they may be different, Jesus is the bond that will remain. In our hearts we’re undivided, worshiping one Savior one Lord. In our hearts we’re undivided, bound by His Spirit, forevermore.”

On this blog I have often shared with you about Warren B Smith, a Christian writer and speaker, who was once very deeply involved in the New Age Movement. He can attest to the “oneness” that the New Age is promoting, and does so in the following video series. I shared this series with you in one of my previous posts, but for those of you who have not seen it, when time allows, I hope you will listen to the important information that Warren has to say in these videos. It’s also worth listening to a second time for those of you who have previously watched it either on YouTube or here on this blog:

In the following article, Warren also goes into detail about “separation,” “atonement” and “oneness.” Notice how those terms that are used in Christianity are totally twisted to mean something completely different among those who are involved in the New Age/New Spirituality Movement.

WARREN SMITH – NEW AGE DOCTRINES OF SEPARATION – SPIRITUAL RESEARCH NETWORK

Here is an excerpt from that article:

“How do the New Age “God” and “Christ” suggest that Christians, and others under “the illusion of separation,” rid themselves of the “fear” that is causing them to feel separate from God? By “atoning” through the “at-one-ment” process. That is, by affirming that “all is love” and “all is God” and never forgetting that they are a part of God. By their definition, the only way you can be “loving” and “atone” with your fellow man is by ultimately pledging allegiance to the doctrine of “oneness.” From this perspective you are either a “love” and “oneness” person or you are a “fear” and “separation” person. Your “love” of God is expressed by seeing yourself and others as a part of God, as “one” with God. Your “fear” of God is expressed by seeing yourself and others as not being a part of God, as “separate” from God. In their New Age future, you will live or die based on whether or not you see yourself as a part of God. It is the doctrine of “oneness” versus the doctrine of “separation.” It is as simple and straightforward and brutal as that.” (SOURCE)

We must be very careful concerning this movement for unity that we are seeing taking place today among so many Christian groups and Christian leaders, because the end result of this type of unity will be the New Age oneness that they are seeking to establish by which each person will come to believe in their own divinity, which can only take place by attempting to destroy Biblical Christianity as we know it, since it teaches that we are all sinners in need of a Savior.

We have the assurance that Biblical Christianity will never be destroyed, but we must always keep in mind that God’s Word warns us about the spiritual deception that will take place in the last days (Matthew 24:4,5, 1 Timothy 4:1, etc.) and how God’s Word also says that ‘Satan roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.’ (1 Peter 5:8) So we must all be alert, pray for discernment, and read and study God’s Word more than ever before so that we will not led astray by the many attempts to deceive us!

Because I am trying to finish writing three more posts, I will end this post now. I just hope and pray that this will serve as a warning to all Christians  of the importance of testing everything you listen to — as well as what you read and watch — in light of Scripture, because mysticism is not only rapidly entering the church, but it is also being used in many other ways in an attempt to slowly lead many Christians astray by having them embrace unbiblical teachings and mystical practices.

Thank you for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when  men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 3:16,17-4:1-4)

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.  I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel– which is really no gospel at all.  Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.  But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned.  As we have already said, so now I say again:  If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:3-9)

“But evil men and imposters will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” (2 Timothy 3:13)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” (Matthew 7: 13-15)

Capture Eyes with tears 1UPDATED 1/26/15 1:30 P.M. ADDED MATT CHANDLER PART 1 OF ‘MINGLING OF SOULS’

This is another post in a new series of posts that I will be doing (Lord willing) at least once a month on Wednesdays (actually this one was published a little after midnight, so it’s now actually Thursday, but on with my post) so that I can make you all aware of some important information that I come across on the Internet that you may not have heard about. I have been trying to think of something that I could write on a regular basis that would be short and to the point (at least I’ll try to be), and since I am a detective-at-heart and desire to make you all aware of the importance of testing things in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11), the idea to do these posts — as well as the name — came to my mind in November of 2014, based on Acts 20:26-31:

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”

So with that in mind, here are some of the things I’d like to make you all aware of on this Wednesday …um, Thursday:

Matt Chandler is the pastor of the Village Church in Texas. And as you can see from the quick capture below, “Harvest Bible Chapel is excited to host Pastor Matt Chandler and the Mingling of Souls Conference.”

Capture Harvest Bible Chapel - Matt Chandler - Mingling of Souls Conference

This conference will take place at Harvest Bible Chapel Rolling Meadows on Friday, January 30th, at 7:00 p.m., and is based on the book of the Bible, the Song of Solomon. I posted this as a warning not only for those of you who attend either Harvest Bible Chapel Rolling Meadows (my former church for almost fifteen years) or any of the other HBC locations in the Chicago area, but also as a warning to any one else in the area who may be considering attending this conference and may not be aware of who Matt Chandler is, in order to alert all of you to some of the concerns that many Christians have about him. If you’re interested in knowing what some of these valid concerns are, please consider reading one of my previous posts, HARVEST BIBLE CHAPEL ROLLING MEADOWS BEWARE OF MATT CHANDLER, in which I added a lot of information not only in the post, but also in the comment section.

**ADDED 1/26/15** Below is Session 1 of The Mingling of Souls Conference that I hesitated to post when I first wrote this last week, but I decided to post it today, 1/26/15, in order to give you a clearer understanding of what you will probably hear if you choose to attend this conference. Watching this video may also change your mind about going and save you some valuable time and money!

In spite of the fact that Matt Chandler says he is “not trying to be crass” by saying some of what you will hear him say within the first portion of this video, the words he chose to say are unbecoming and unnecessary to say by someone who calls himself a pastor.

He has a lot of good things to say in this video, but nothing beyond what a praying and discerning Christian should already know concerning healthy, God-honoring relationships. Sadly, he also uses God’s name and Jesus’ name irreverently four times in this video: at the 3:22 minute mark, the 3:32 minute mark, during the 5:50-6:09 minute mark, and at the 6:33 minute mark. A pastor’s greatest desire should be to live, to speak, and to teach in such a way that it will be pleasing to God, and not in such a way so as to be liked and accepted by men. God’s Word is clear to those who choose to be teachers, saying that “those who teach will be judged more strictly.” (James 3:1)

Parents, please read THIS article from Lighthouse Trails so you are aware of what some of your children are being taught in many public schools these days.

Speaking of school and what is being taught these days, have you heard about Common Core Curiculum? Please watch the following video so you are informed.

Read the following article and you will see  A (VERY SAD) SIGN OF THE TIME WE LIVE IN — KEN HAM — ANSWERS IN GENESIS

In case any of you have been wondering what Rob Bell has been up to lately, read THIS article by ‘STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH.’

We are living in trying times that can be viewed as exciting times, as well, because the signs of the soon return of Jesus are more evident with each passing day! Would you be ready if Jesus came today? Have you placed your trust in what Jesus did when He died in your place, taking the full wrath of God upon Himself that was intended for us because of our sins? Or are you trying to earn God’s forgiveness by trying your best and hoping the good you do will outweigh the bad things you have done? “Choose this day whom you will serve.” (Joshua 24:15) Tomorrow is promised to no one, so seek Him while there is still time!

“First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.” (2 Peter 3:3-13)

Thank you for stopping by. And thank you very much for taking the time to read my posts and poems.
