Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”  (Acts 17:11)

Are you a Berean? Do you examine the Scriptures daily to see if what is being said (by those who claim to speak for God) is true? I know that many of you are. And for those of you who are small group leaders, the TWELVE CONFERENCE  will be streamed online — free of charge — after you register. So get ready to test all that the speakers will say against the truth of God’s Word, as God’s Word clearly shows us to do (Acts 17:11), and warn those who follow some of these men who distort God’s Word of any concerns you become aware of. I pray that many of you who are small group leaders — who are very trusting and have good intentions, and yet have been deceived — will wake up to the truth of what is actually taking place in many small groups today.

Are you involved in a small group at your church? Then you need to be aware of the reasons that some of these small groups exist. In the videos  posted below, you can hear for yourself what some of their intentions are.

In the first video below, you will clearly hear what Rick Warren says about small groups. And that should be a red flag to all of you of the purpose of many (but hopefully not all) small groups today.

“The heartbeat of the church is the small groups.  If you don’t have small groups in your church, you don’t have anybody to carry your vision in a practical way.” –Rick Warren

Many pastors use the information presented in small groups to instill their agenda/vision into those who attend these small group sessions. So learn to think critically. And if you are in a small group, make sure you think Biblically, as well as critically. Are the ideas presented in your small groups, Biblical? Or do the ideas presented at your small groups present worldly, philosophical ideas? Do they promote your pastor’s ideas that attempt to grow the church by means of marketing strategies for success? Or do they solely rely on God to grow the church, as Scripture teaches? Do they encourage you to dig deeper into God’s Word to help you grow in the depth of your commitment to Christ, and in your encouraging one another along in the circumstances you face in life? Or is everything rooted in your pastor’s ‘vision’ and strategies that appeal to the sinful nature of man?

So, if you presently attend a small group, please keep all these things in mind the next time you go. And be sure to pray before you go there, asking God to give you wisdom and discernment to know what is actually being said, and to show you if it all lines up with Scripture or not.

“TWO CONFERENCES, ONE FOCUS: CHANGE THE WORLD” (Hmm…where have we heard that expression before,  just recently? How about in the ‘purpose driven’  History Channel’s miniseries –‘The Bible’).

TWELVE WILL TRANSFORM THE WAY YOUR CHURCH DOES SMALL GROUPS, SUNDAY SCHOOL AND ADULT EDUCATION”

“APRIL 9th -11th and April 13th TWELVE ONLINE CONFERENCES

The speakers will be as follows: Steven Furtick, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, Craig Groeschel, Miles Mcpherson, Brian Houston, Wayne Cordeiro, John Ortberg, Joni Eareckson Tada, and Chip Ingram.

Under ‘Track Choices,’ you will see the following that gives cause for concern:

TRACK CHOICES: 1.Essentials Track Pick this Track if you haven’t attended one of our small group conferences before, or would like a refresher.

Saddleback’s small group pastor, Steve Gladen, teaches the transferable principles that God has used to create one of the most successful small group ministries in the United States.  This is a model that has been successfully used in churches and all denominations of all sizes around the world.

Under Point 2, the ‘WORK IT OUT TRACK,”  it states the following:

“Panel discussions include Pastors sharing their ideas and experiences in the following areas:

  • Challenging issues small groups face

  • The cutting edge of the future of small groups

  • Emerging trends  SOURCE

It certainly makes a Berean wonder what will be discussed during these sessions.  Maybe, how to deal with people who raise objections to the Pastor’s ‘vision?’  And what, may I ask, could be the “cutting edge” and the “emerging trends” for small groups?  One can only wonder —  and even cringe — at the possibilities!

Time for all Bereans to be in prayer, continuing to seek God in His Word more than ever before, and being a voice of warning using His Word to expose the spiritual deception and manipulation that continues to penetrate the church.God bless you, and thank you for stopping by and reading my posts and poems.

As you can hear in the video posted above, (1/6/14 I’m sorry…just noticed this video is now made ‘private,’ and unfortunately there is no other copies of this video to post) Pastor James MacDonald, senior pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel Rolling Meadows, thinks very highly of Beth Moore, and calls her studies “pretty phenomenal.”   And because I have recently learned that Harvest Bible Chapel Rolling Meadows (my previous church for almost 15 years) is presently featuring a Beth Moore book as their focus for one of their ‘small groups,’ (and they have also chosen many of her books in the past –and probably presently — as the topic for some of their Bible Studies, as well) I found it now necessary to be one among many others who are expressing their concerns about Beth Moore to warn those of you who are avid followers of hers, the importance of testing what she says against Scripture.

As many solid Bible teachers say, “The first key to proper Biblical interpretation is context, context, context!”  We must not take a person’s word for what a certain passage means, but rather go to Scripture and read the surrounding verses as well, in order to get a clear and proper understanding of what that text is actually saying.

Beth Moore is definitely a gifted speaker, but those of us who are Christians are commanded to ‘test all things,’ and to ‘hold fast to what is true.’  (1Thessalonians 5:21,22)

We are also shown in Scripture to ‘test what is said by those who claim to speak for God against Scripture to see if what is being said is true’:

“Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” (Acts 17:11)

So with that in mind, I plead with those of you who have been caught up into Beth Moore’s teachings and captivated by her charming personality and who consider yourselves to be one of her faithful followers, to pray for discernment and please listen to Chris Rosebrough of ‘Fighting For The Faith’ and ‘Pirate Christian Radio,’ as he gives his Biblical analysis of one of her messages in the video posted at the link below.  Please be sure to open up your Bible and follow along to see if what is being said is really true:

SCRIPTURES FOR YOU TO FOCUS ON

“I appeal to you , brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.  My brothers, some from Cloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.  What I mean is this:  One of you says,  “I follow Paul”; another,I follow Apollos”;  another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.”  Is Christ divided?  Was Paul crucified for you?”                                         (1 Corinthians 1:10-13)

“Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly–mere infants in Christ.  I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it.  Indeed, you are still not ready.  You are still worldly.  For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly?  Are you not acting like mere men?  For when one says,  “I follow Paul,”  and another,  “I follow Apollos,”  are you not mere men?  “What, after all, is Apollos?  And what is Paul?  Only servants through whom you came to believe–as the Lord has assigned to each his task.  I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.  So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.  The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.  For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.  By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it.  But each one should be careful how he builds.  For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:1-11)

“We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.  For He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying,  “This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased.”  We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with Him on the sacred mountain.  And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.  Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation.  For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”  (2 Peter 1:16-21)

“In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.  The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word.  After He had  provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.  SO He became as much superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is superior to theirs.  For to which of the angels did God ever say,  “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.”  (Hebrews 1:1-5)  (Since this is such a powerful passage of Scripture that speaks so much Biblical truth –and one of my favorites, as well–I decided to post more than just the portion of this passage that applies to Beth Moore, which I will elaborate upon at a later time –Lord willing — if time allows).

“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”           (Galatians 6:14)

“In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge:  Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction.  For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine.  Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.  They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:1-4)

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.  For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or of you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ.  And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light,  It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness.  Their end will be what their actions deserve.”        (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

“Watch out for false prophets.  They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.  By their fruit you will recognize them.  Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?  Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.  “Not everyone who says to Me,  ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.  Many will say to Me on that day,  ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you.  Away from Me you evildoers!'” (Matthew 7:15-23)

“But there were also false prophets  among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.  They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them–bringing swift destruction on themselves.  Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up.  Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.”            (2 Peter 2:1,2)

“Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men.  For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.  Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.  Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood.  I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.  Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard!  Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”  (Acts 20:26-31)

JUDGING

For those of you who may accuse me of judging Beth Moore, I want you to know that even though we as Christians are not to judge a person’s heart or their intentions, we are supposed to judge/test what she says — as well as what others say, who claim to preach and teach God’s Word — in light of Scripture, and we are also to expose those who teach false doctrines.  Again, I will cite these verses: Acts 17:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:21,22

“Stop judging by mere appearances and make a right judgment.”               (John 7:24)

“I have written to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people–not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters.  In that case you would have to leave this world.  But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler.  With such a man do not even eat.  What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church?  Are you not to judge those inside?  God will judge those outside.  “Expel the wicked man from among you.” (1 Corinthians 5:9-12)

Lord willing, I will post more information on Beth Moore concerning her promotion of ‘mysticism’ some time in the future, but now I am trying to finish the poem I am presently writing, entitled: ‘RISE UP!’

1-1-14 ADDED REVIEW BY CHRIS ROSEBROUGH OF BETH MOORE’S FUTURE OUTPOURING PROPHECY’

Well, I was planning on getting to sleep early tonight. However, I find the need to watch the ‘Passion 2013 Conference’ to see what is being spiritually fed to the 60,000 students that are in attendance this year. And if it’s anything like last year, sadly that means there will be a strong dose of mysticism thrown into the messages. If you’d like, you can watch the coverage that is only available until tonight, Saturday, January 5th– midnight, at the link below:

PASSION 2013 CONFERENCE>> ALL SESSIONS ( **UPDATE 1/6/13**SESSIONS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.  SEE VIDEOS FROM CONFERENCE THAT I ADDED BELOW)

This conference is being held at the Georgia Dome until January 4th. Speakers include Louie Giglio, John Piper, Beth Moore, Francis Chan, Judah Smith, and Gary Haugen. (Hmmm…a new person to check out; haven’t heard of him before).  (**UPDATE** Found out he is the President and CEO of International Justice Mission, helping to end human trafficking). Worship led by: Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill, Charlie Hall, David Crowder, LeCrae, and Jesus Culture. Lord willing, when time allows, I will be expressing the reasons that we as Christians should be concerned about this.  But here’s a statement that should be a cause for concern: “Passion is about the Jesus Generation uniting for His fame.”

CONCERNS WITH PASSION 2013

Here’s some reasons why you should be concerned about the ‘PASSION CONFERENCES’.  Let’s start with Judah Smith.  For one, he promotes the ‘Alpha Course,’ and will be an influence on all our young people in attendance at ‘Passion 2013’

Judah Smith has also been a part of Nicky Gumbel’s (Nicky Gumbel is the present leader of the ‘ALPHA COURSE’) HTB (Holy Trinity Brompton) LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE, along with Christine Caine, and Rick Warren and Tony Blair. (2012 Conference)

And for those of you who are aware of who Steven Furtick is, he will be one of the key speakers at the HTB CONFERENCE this year along with Bill Hybels, as you will see in the following video.  (I’ll also add this video, as well as some comments to my ‘WARNING YOU WITH TEARS’ post, when time allows).

If you’re not aware of the ‘Alpha Course’ and what it teaches, please consider reading the following:

ERIN BENZIGER OF ‘DO NOT BE SURPRISED’ THE ALPHA COURSE COMPROMISE

DECEPTION IN THE CHURCHTHE DANGERS OF THE ALPHA COURSE

*Harvesters (those who attend Harvest Bible Chapel)– and all other Christians, as well — do you now see serious reasons to be concerned about *Steven Furtick, and these speakers, and what is taking place in the name of Christianity today??  Please read and study your Bible, and research these things, as well, so you will not be led into deception!

As much as I would love to just sit here and express all my concerns to you about this conference — and more — the thought of the ‘rapture’ taking place on a day when my home is in total chaos (as it is today because of all the time that I have spent on writing lately, as well as because of not being home due to Christmas and New Year’s gatherings) fills me with determination to get my place in order!  I would hate to have anyone find my home in this condition after I have been  ‘caught up’ to meet the Lord in the air!    (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Luke 21:28)  So, unless God does a miracle and provides a writing job for me, I need to get my home back in order today, and get to bed early so I can function at work during the days ahead. Lord willing, when time allows, I will be making comments  on one of the videos I posted so that I can make you aware of some valid concerns.  In the days ahead I will also be adding links to others in ministry who actually have the time to discuss the ‘Passion Conference’ so you clearly understand why many are deeply concerned.  I pray you will have ears to hear, and also pray that God will bless you with discernment and one day use you to warn others, as well.

Now, back to watching the live feed of the Conference, and cleaning as I do!

**UPDATE 1:22p.m.**  I’m back!  Had to just express one thing to you that I am observing as I am watching the live coverage, and that is the overemphasis on social justice issues and human trafficking. As horrible as this is to know that so many precious young children are being sold into slavery and abused, it seems to me that this Conference (as well as many other ministries today) are focused on ‘deeds not creeds,’ just like Rick Warren focuses on.  That is to say, that the focus is no longer on Jesus Christ and the gospel — what has already been done through Christ’s atoning work on the cross and by His resurrection — but rather on what we can do to make this world a better place.  Let’s face it.  This world will never be perfect until Christ returns and rules and reigns on this earth. What will begin to change this world is the preaching of the gospel so that people are aware of their sin and their need for a Savior.  Change comes when God changes the sinful heart of man.  True slavery is the slavery to sin, and true freedom comes through Christ Jesus, alone!

“Jesus replied,  “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.  Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.  So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:34-36)

Sadly, so far I see that this conference is mainly focused on promoting and raising money for ‘The End It’ movement to end human trafficking, and not focused on Jesus.  Louie Giglio, at approximately 27:00 into the session, said to this young crowd,  “…together we can do great things.”  “…together we are a force for good.”  “…collectively we’ve become a mighty force for justice.”

Earlier, it was mentioned that everyone received free sandwiches from ‘ Jason Deli,’ and that it was the first time they had eaten since arriving there.  How many hours had it been since they had eaten?  Are they being programmed as the young people who attend IHOP are (International House Of Prayer – another concern I have), by attending long sessions with hyped up music, and easily influenced because of their lack of sleep and food? Will look further into that possibility.

Ugh!  Want to say so much more, but really need to go now!

**UPDATE**1/3/13/5:11p.m. Watching this conference again as I am eating dinner, and listening to the former lead singer of Delirious sing one of his songs with lyrics that are void of praise to God and are only focused on self:  “I feel alive, I come alive, I am alive on God’s great dance floor.”  (Note to self: I really need to turn the sound down and just watch the lyrics, so these songs don’t get stuck in my head)!

Again it has been mentioned that “…nobody’s eaten.”  (Session 4 starting near the 37:00 min. mark).

Final limited coverage available only till Saturday night, 1/5/13midnight).

**UPDATE** 1/4/13** Just found this new video by Chris Rosebrough

**ADDED 1/7/13 9:30 p.m.** Chris Rosebrough just uploaded this video

**UPDATE** 1/5/13 In the following video you will hear the very important information on ‘community’ that Chris Rosebrough was speaking about in the previous video.  When time allows, please listen and become aware of what is taking place in many churches today concerning the strong emphasis on joining a ‘small group’ or ‘community,’ and where this all began and where it’s headed.  You may have to listen to this a few times to grasp what’s really happening and the dangers that are involved!  The bottom line is: “The individual does not exist; it’s all about the ‘community.’  Can you now begin to sense the danger?

You will also hear information on ‘vision casting,’ which many of us are hearing in our churches today.  You will also hear Steven Furtick @ 1:16:00 – 1:17:35, Perry Noble @ 1:19:15 – 1:20:16, and information on Rick Warren and his ‘Peace Plan,’ as well.

**UPDATE 1/5/13 6:25 p.m.**  Just found these videos from ‘Passion 2013’ on YouTube.  Please pray for discernment before you listen, and test everything in light of Scripture, now that you are aware of some of the problems –if you listened to the previous videos.  If more become available I will add them when time allows.  (Hopefully the people who posted these had the rights to post them, so they won’t be taken down).  **UPDATE 1/14/13 ALL VIDEOS ARE BACK UP!!  **UPDATE 1/8/13 MANY ARE NOW MARKED ‘PRIVATE**

MORE CONCERNS

Credit goes to EBenz of DO NOT BE SURPRISED for the following video:

As I watched the video above,  it reminded me of an equally disturbing video of Misty Edwards of IHOP (International House Of Prayer) that I found on YouTube four years ago.  I posted the videos below for you to watch and to test in light of Scripture, and to also  make you realize that many in ministry today are leading our youth into unbiblical and mystical practices that cause them to seek an ‘experience’ with God instead of seeking Him in His Word.

In Part 1 you will hear her share a dream she has (@ 5:06) about God coming to her in a dream in the form of a man and running like a lion…’  Then she speaks about “a Buddhist monk of sorts, and there’s this aura of peace…”  But before she does, she says the following disturbing things,  starting @ 1:20…

“I believe the new thing He’s doing is He’s about to split the sky, come back to the planet as a man…I mean I really believe this-this sounds outrageous, doesn’t it?   I believe that Jesus is gonna come back to the planet as a Jewish man… (can’t understand next few words) …”brown eyes, brown hair, not that tall- Jewish man, who was born to be a king, is coming back to the planet, and He is gonna come back to the planet in response to the bride who’s gonna be singing… unified, globally.   This is intense where this thing is going.  I’m looking at your faces, and I’m going, “God, these-this is  who you’ve chosen, this is a- at least a stream of people that You’ve chosen for such a time as this, to raise up a new sound, a new song in the earth, for such a time as this to-to usher in the second coming.  I mean, do you have any idea who you are?”

MISTY EDWARDS ON PROPHETIC WORSHIP AT BREAKOUT SESSION ONE THING 2007

What Misty Edwards — and those like her– presents to young people today, is a seductive message to lure them into the ‘New Apostolic Reformation/Kingdom Now’ theology, which says that we as Christians are to take control of this world by taking positions in the government and businesses to take dominion over this world to usher in the return of Jesus Christ.  Can you see how a message like this can capture the attention of young people who are searching for a purpose for their lives? In part, Pastor Gary Gilley of Southern View Chapel, says this about Dominion Theology:

Dominion theology (the belief-system behind reconstructionist movement) teaches that through the coming of Christ the believer has dominion over every area of life.  We are now in the Kingdom of God (note the similar view of the Kingdom that the Vineyard movement takes, as well as the plethora of Christian songs being written implying that we are in the Kingdom at the present time) and as a result we should be reigning with Christ over the earth as Rev. 5:10 says.  The question is when will we reign.  If the Kingdom is on earth now, then we should have dominion now!  Right?  Don’t many of us proclaim this thought when we sing the popular Charismatic song “Majesty” which invites us to,  “Come glorify Christ Jesus, the King,”  after all, “Kingdom authority flows from His throne unto His own.”  With this authority from the King we are to reclaim the earth for Christ, not just spiritually, but socially, economically (it is no accident that one of the reconstructionist’s organizations is called, The Institute For Christian Economics) and politically.  The dominion of the earth is accomplished not only through prayer and evangelism, but through the political process, and social reformation.  Christ will not return to earth until the church has accomplished this task.”  SOURCE

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” (1 Timothy 4:1)

“This is what the LORD Almighty says:  “Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes.  They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.  They keep saying to those who despise me,  ‘The LORD says:  You will have peace.’  And to all those who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say,  ‘No harm will come to you.’  But which of them has stood in the council of the LORD to see or hear His Word?  Who has listened and heard His Word?  See, the storm of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.  The anger of the LORD will not turn back until He fully accomplishes the purposes of His heart.  In days to come you will understand it clearly.  I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.  But if they had stood in My council, they would have proclaimed My Words to My people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.  “Am I only a God nearby,”  declares the LORD  “and not a God far away?  Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?”  declares the LORD.  “Do I not fill heaven and earth?”  declares the LORD.  I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in My name.  They say, ‘I had a dream!  I had a dream!’  How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds?  They think the dreams they tell one another will make My people forget My name, just as their fathers forgot My name through Baal worship.  Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has My Word speak it faithfully.  For what has straw to do with grain?”  declares the LORD.  “Is not My Word like fire,”  declares the LORD,  and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?  “Therefore,”  declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from Me.  Yes,”  declares the LORD,  “I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare,  ‘The LORD declares.’  Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,”  declares the LORD.  “They tell them and lead My people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them.  They do not benefit these people in the least,”  declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 23:16-30)
