INTRODUCTION

Sadly, we live at a time when many of us are like sheep without a shepherd. Many once trusted pastors and teachers have forgotten their God-given role of protecting their sheep from ravenous wolves and have instead chosen to willingly join with them wholeheartedly. Therefore, many precious Christians are prey for the enemy as they attempt to seek a new church where God’s Word is being preached without compromise, and some end up getting involved with another church where yet another form of compromise or spiritual deception is taking place, which is what has happened to me many times now. With that in mind I will rarely be sharing any sermons from any pastors with you here, because the more I find out about them, the more I realize that the only one we can completely trust is Jesus Christ. So, for the time being, I will just be sharing videos like the one below that just have the audio of God’s Word accompanied with pictures highlighting some of the main verses from each particular book of the Bible.

When time allows, I hope that you will take less than 15 minutes out of your day to listen to the Book of 1 John  and allow God’s Word to comfort you, to free you from worry, doubt, and fear, exhort and convict you of sin, and to guide you into all truth.

For those of you who have yet to come to understand all that Jesus Christ accomplished for us when He  willingly entered our sin-filled world wrapped in human flesh as an innocent baby, to one day become our Savior, I pray you will come to understand and believe and receive the good news of the Biblical gospel:

Still being God, the second Person of the Trinity, Jesus Christ came into our world to rescue us from sin and hell; He grew and lived the perfect, sinless life that we could never live, to become the spotless, Lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world. He willingly hung on a cross and suffered the extremely brutal death of crucifixion in our place.  God the Father, poured our His full wrath that we deserve for our sins upon His one and only Son — Jesus Christ, God in the flesh — who paid the debt in full for every one of our sins, no matter how heinous the sin may be! He died, was buried, and gloriously arose from the dead bodily on the third day for our justification. Salvation is a free gift; we are not saved by good works or by obeying the law, or Jesus Christ died in vain! (Galatians 2:21) If a person chooses to place their trust in the only provision that God has made for us to be forgiven and to be reconciled to Himself, (which is by trusting in Jesus Christ alone for our salvation), according to God’s very Word we will then have the assurance of eternal life with Him in heaven. (1 John 5:9-13) That, dear reader, is the good news of the Biblical gospel that is not being heard in many churches today! Please get yourself a Bible (preferably a King James version because many verses in newer translations have been either omitted or drastically changed in such a way that changes the meaning of the verses), and read the Gospel of John, the Books of Romans, Ephesians, Hebrews, and 1,2, and 3 John to begin with, so that you might come to know the joyously good news of all that Jesus Christ accomplished for us, and the depth of the love that God has for you. (Ephesians 3:17-19) (1 John 4:9,10)

THE WORD OF GOD – 1 JOHN

UPDATE:

Lord willing, during the next week or so, I hope to finish one of the many posts that I started writing. When it is completed I will then share it with you. Thank you very much for your patience during these many difficult things that the Lord has brought me through (the loss of my precious Mom last April, and the near loss of my dear sister in December, as well). By His grace and with His strength and peace I have made it through –one day at a time.

Today I decided to do a search on YouTube to see if there were any new presentations given by one of my favorite contenders for the Christian faith, Warren B Smith, since I haven’t seen him for quite some time, and I found the video that I posted for you below. In the midst of so much apostasy, it is wonderful to see that Warren, who was once deeply involved in the New Age Movement, is still remaining true to the Biblical gospel and has not given in to compromise as many professing Christian leaders have done and continue to do these days. However, he truly needs our prayers to remain faithful and for continued healing because of the heart attack that he had last year, and because of the emotional turmoil that he and his wife Joy have been through due to their house fire back in 2016.

When time allows, please listen to Warren’s very important and Biblical presentation that will make you aware of what is presently taking place as many professing Christians are embracing pagan occult practices that are coming into many churches by being presented as new ways to experience God more deeply and intimately. This is happening not only due to a lack Biblical discernment, but also due to the failure on the part of leadership and all Christians to test everything against Scripture as we are shown to do in Acts 17:11, as well as failure to heed the many warnings in Scripture about false teachers, some who would even arise from among us (Acts 20:25-31).

Thank you very much for stopping by today.

God Bless You

~Mary/Living4HisGlory

As we begin this series of posts, I would like to start out by sharing some Scriptures with you in order to lay a solid foundation based on the truth of God’s Word before we start looking into some of the serious concerns that one should have when it comes to these supposed apparitions of the Virgin Mary. We will also be using  our critical thinking skills based  on what we can learn from what God says in His Word in order to help us learn to discern truth from error, which is a must in these days of rapidly growing spiritual deception!

Let’s begin:

We know from many passages of Scripture that the level of spiritual deception in the end times will be extremely powerful. Jesus Christ, Himself, strongly warned about spiritual deception and mentions it first among the many signs that will point to His soon return. He also made it very clear that these lying signs and wonders could deceive the very elect –if it were possible:

“And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:1-4)

“Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:23-27)

God also strongly warns us in His Word that we must not be ignorant of Satan’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11) and how we are to:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

It is also made abundantly clear to us in John 3:19-21 that those without Jesus Christ love the darkness because of their sin and are not willing to come into the light, and in 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12 we read that many will perish because they will not choose to receive the love of the truth that they might be saved. These are the ones to whom God will send strong delusion to because they chose not to believe the truth; their desire will be to continue on in their unrighteous ways:

“And this is the condemnation, that the light has come  into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil. For everyone who practices evil hates the light, and does not come into the light, lest his works be reproved. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may me manifested that they are wrought in God.”(John 3:19-21)

“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12)

One can only speculate at this time as to what all of these lying signs and wonders will actually be. However, if you will please just take the time to read this series — in its entirety — I believe and pray that after you pray for discernment and read and listen to the information that I will be sharing with you (concerning how the messages given by these apparitions contradict the very Word of God and instead reflect the many false messages of unity proclaimed by those involved in the New Age Movement), you will then come to realize that these supposed apparitions of the Virgin Mary are instead cunningly deceptive plans devised by Satan himself to mislead and deceive many who will choose to reject Biblical truth and refuse to test things against Scripture. I truly believe (along with some other Christians) that these apparitions are presently playing  — and will indeed continue to play — a huge part in end times spiritual deception! However, my opinion doesn’t matter. Let’s look at some of the facts. Just think of the many who have already been lured into New Age Contemplative Spirituality through Spiritual Formation classes and Contemplative Prayer by reading books by authors such as Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, Margaret Feinstein, Ruth Haley Barton, Mindy Caliguire, Richard Foster, Richard Rohr, Rick Warren, Gary Thomas, Henry Blackaby, (and many others), because they have been encouraged to have “experiences with God” instead of seeking to know God in a very real and personal way by reading and studying His living, life-giving, unchanging Word –the Bible! Or think of the many who have involved themselves in Eastern meditation practices by joining so-called Christian yoga classes that, sadly, are being offered at many churches these days!

Here are some more Scriptures that I would like you to please keep in mind as you read through the first installment of this three, or possibly four part, series:

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9)

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”                       (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)

“Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.” (Jeremiah 14:14)

“If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.” (Deuteronomy 13:1-3)

For those of you who may be Catholic, please know that I am not out to attack what you may hold dear to your heart if you indeed hold the Virgin Mary in a place of honor much higher that you should. It is out of love and concern for all of you that I am sharing all of this information with you to warn you so that you will not be deceived by these alluring apparitions and the messages that come from this entity that claims to be the Virgin Mary, and to urge you to look to Jesus Christ alone for truth, forgiveness, and salvation!

Let’s begin now by looking at some of the messages given during these apparitions from around the world. If you will take the time to pray for discernment and test these messages in light of Scripture, you will see how this being who claims to be the Virgin Mary does not reflect the humble Virgin Mary that we see revealed in God’s Word who always pointed to her virgin born Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, and not to herself. This being who claims to be the Virgin Mary also makes requests for chapels to be built in her honor!

Please also note the emphasis on “penance” and the need to “make sacrifices” that is stressed in these messages given to the visionaries, thus rendering Jesus Christ’s once for all sacrifice on the cross as being insufficient to pay the debt of our sins in full, when God’s Word clearly shows us otherwise!

Apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego in 1531

A widely known series of apparitions of the Virgin Mary are the ones that allegedly took place in 1531 in Guadalupe, Mexico when it is said that the Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego and requested that a chapel be built in her honor.

“For I am your merciful Mother,” she said, “to you and to all mankind who love me and trust in me and invoke my help. Therefore, go to the dwelling of the Bishop in Mexico City and say that the Virgin Mary sent you to make known to him her great desire.”

The Bishop was very hesitant to believe Juan Diego and requested that this Lady give him some sign. Juan Diego was told by the Lady that she would grant his request the next morning. However, Juan Diego was unable to return the next morning because his uncle became very ill. Two days later as he was on his way to the church to request for a priest to come to his dying uncle, he was stopped by the Lady, who said to him, “It is well, littlest and dearest of my sons, but now listen to me. Do not let anything afflict you and be not afraid of illness or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Are you not in the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else you need? Do not fear for your uncle for he is not going to die. Be assured…he is already well.” Juan Diego was exceedingly happy to hear her reassuring words, and then asked her for the sign that he was to bring to the Bishop. He was told to climb to the top of the hill where he would find many flowers in bloom, and he was to cut them and bring them to her. He was surprised to find many flowers blooming on the stony ground. Returning to the Lady with the flowers held within his cloak, the Lady rearranged them and sent him on his way to the Bishop, telling Juan Diego that this would be the sign for the Bishop that would convince him to fulfill her request. When Juan Diego was in the presence of the Bishop he opened his cloak, and the flowers gently tumbled to the floor, and the Bishop was awestruck as he saw an amazingly colorful image of the Lady, just as Juan Diego had described her, imprinted on his cloak. “Earlier that same day, December 12th, she had also appeared to Juan’s uncle, Juan Bernardino and restored him to health as she had told Juan Diego.” “Both had been among the first of the natives to be baptized into the true faith several years before.” (Source – YouTube video – The story of the five apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to St. Juan Diego)

The “true faith” that is being referred to here, is the Catholic faith, not Biblical Christianity.

Even though it seems that the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe that appeared on Juan Diego’s cloak/tilma made from cactus fiber came about in a miraculous way, and the colors have somehow been preserved from fading, and the cloak/tilma was protected from damage and deterioration  over hundreds of years from being exposed to the smoke of burning candles, and it was not damaged when bombs were planted under the image in some flowers in 1921, we cannot come to the conclusion that this image was a miracle from God since God’s Word clearly condemns images of any kind: Exodus 20:4 Deuteronomy 4:16, 5:8,

We must also keep in mind the warnings in Scripture about false miracles and lying signs and wonders in the last days. (Matthew 7:23, 2 Thessaalonians 2:8,9, Revelation 13:13,14)

The details concerning this image, although intriguing, (reflections of what appears to be that of Juan Diego and other people that were discovered in the eyes of the image, and other details that lead people to wrongly believe that Mary is the Queen of heaven), add to the evidence that this is not a miracle sent from God, but rather a counterfeit miracle that, once again, points people away from Jesus Christ, and to Mary. These apparitions of a woman who claims to be the Virgin Mary, is not the Virgin Mary revealed in Scripture, as you will soon come to realize –if you will choose to test these supposed miraculous details against Scripture.

What I found to be most disturbing is the fact that this image of the Virgin Mary is given credit for the conversion of eight to nine million of the pagan Aztec Indians into the Catholic faith, who had previously sacrificed thousands of their people to their pagan gods, when it is the gospel and faith in Jesus Christ alone that brings one to true salvation!

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16,17)

In this trailer from a documentary movie based upon these alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Guadalupe, the focus is on “unity,” which has been promoted among religions for quite some time now. It is said that this image brought about “the unity of different peoples and different cultures” and it is also proclaimed as “an image that would unite a continent.” This documentary is narrated by John Caviezel, who states,”The Virgin of Guadalupe is not just a bridge between heaven and earth, but also a bridge between different cultures, it is her love that unites us.”

In the video further below, it is wrongly stated that the Virgin Mary is the woman spoken of in Revelation Chapter 12 who is clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head.

Catholicism also teaches that the Virgin Mary is the woman in Genesis 3:15 who crushes the serpent’s head. In Part 3 of MY TESTIMONY: FROM FEAR AND UNCERTAINTY TO PEACE AND ASSURANCE – HOW GOD REVEALED THE TRUTH TO ME AS I WAS READING A CATHOLIC NEW TESTAMENT BIBLE, (that you can read HERE), I shared with you how the Latin Vulgate mistranslated Genesis 3:15 using the word ipsa (she) instead of ipse, he, referring to Jesus Christ, and therefore the Catholic church claims that it is the woman who crushes the serpent’s head, and that the woman is Mary. You can hear a detailed teaching on this, and more, in the following video:

Former Catholic, Timothy Kauffman, author of Mary Mary Quite Contrary, a book that addressed the apparitions of Mary, made an excellent point in a video (that I will be sharing with you in Part 2 of this series), by stating — and this is not an exact quote —  that since the Catholic church teaches Mary was sinless, she should not have experienced pain when she was giving birth to Jesus because pain during childbirth is a consequence of sin. And since the woman in Revelation cries out in  pain, it cannot be Mary, or it would not be consistent with Catholic doctrine. He also points  out the fact that this woman who claims to be Mary in these apparitions oftentimes proclaims herself to be the woman in Revelation. Later in the video he makes this statement:

“What it all come down to is that…we have the Word of God, and we compare it against what the popes teach, and what the apparitions teach. Both can’t be right; either the apparitions and the pope are right, or the Word of God is right.”

Apparitions of the Virgin Mary at LaSalette, France 1846

Here are some of the messages given during the apparitions at LaSalette (which took place in September of 1846) that I quick captured for you from the video further below. You will also be able to see them  — along with many other messages given during these apparitions — if you choose to watch the video when time allows:

There is nowhere in the Bible that mentions there will be a “future Reign of Mary.” You will, however, find that God’s Word tells us that there will be a literal thousand year reign of Jesus Christ on this earth. (Revelation 20:1-4 and Isaiah 65:24,25)

In this message notice how it is Mary who is shown to have power to hold back the arm of her Son, Jesus Christ, from striking out because of the rebellion of mankind:

Apparitions to Bernadette Soubirous at Lourdes, France in 1858

Next to the apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Fatima, Portugal in 1917 (which I have already written about in great detail), probably the next most widely known apparitions of the Virgin Mary are the ones that allegedly took place in Lourdes, France. It is said that the Virgin Mary appeared to fourteen year old Bernadette a total of twenty-eight times. In many of these appearances it is said that the Virgin Mary remained silent.

Below are some of the messages given to Bernadette during these alleged apparitions. You will find the following messages, and more, in the video above.

8th Apparition February 24, 1858:

“Penance! Penance! Penance! Pray to God for sinners. Kiss the ground as an act of penance for sinners!”

9th Apparition February 25, 1858:

Bernadette: She told me to go, drink of the spring… I only found a little muddy water. At the fourth attempt I was able to drink. She also made me eat the bitter herbs that were found near the spring, and then the vision left and went away.” In front of the crowd that was asking, “Do you think that she is mad doing things like that?” she replied, “It is for sinners.”

10th Apparition February 27, 1858:

800 people were present. The Apparition was silent. Bernadette drank the water from the spring and carried out her usual acts of penance.

11th Apparition February 28, 1858:

Over 1000 people were present at the ecstasy. Bernadette prayed, kissed the ground and moved on her knees as a sign of penance. She was then taken to the house of Judge Ribes who threatened to put her in prison.

13th Apparition March 2, 1858:

The Lady asked her: “Go, tell the priests to come her in procession and to build a chapel here.” Bernadette spoke of this to Fr. Peyramale, the Parish Priest of Lourdes. He only wanted to know one thing: the Lady’s name. He demanded another test; to see a wild rose bush flower at the Grotto in the middle of winter.

14th Apparition March 3, 1858:

Bernadette arrived at the Grotto, but the vision did not appear. After school, she heard the inner invitation of the Lady. She went to the Grotto and asked her again for her name. The response was a smile. The Parish Priest told her again: “If the Lady really wishes that a chapel be built, then she must tell us her name and make the rose bush bloom at the Grotto.”

16th Apparition March 25, 1858:

The vision finally revealed her name, but the wild rose bush, on which she stood during the Apparitions, did not bloom. Bernadette recounted; “She lifted up her eyes to heaven, joined her hands as though in prayer, that were held out and open towards the ground and said to me: “I am the Immaculate Conception.” The young visionary left and, running all the way, repeated continuously the words that she did not understand. These words troubled the brave Parish Priest. Bernadette was ignorant of the fact that this theological expression was assigned to the Blessed Virgin. Four years earlier, in 1854, Pope Pius IX declared this a truth of the Catholic faith (a dogma).

For those of you who are unaware of what this teaching of the Catholic Church is concerning the Immaculate Conception, it is not one that focuses on the virginity of Mary regarding the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ, God in human flesh, but rather it teaches that Mary did not inherit original sin as all of us did. They also teach that she never once committed sin of any kind her whole life long. Here is what it says in the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

The Immaculate Conception

Para 490   To become the Mother of the Savior, Mary “was enriched by God with gifts appropriate to such a role.” The angel Gabriel at the moment of the annunciation salutes her as “full of grace.” In fact, in order for Mary to be able to give the free assent of her faith to the announcement of her vocation, it was necessary that she be wholly borne by God’s grace.

Para 491   Through the centuries the church has become ever more aware that Mary, “full of grace” through God, was redeemed from the moment of her conception. That is what the dogma of the Immaculate Conception confesses, as Pope Pius IX proclaimed in 1854: The most Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God and by the virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin.

Para 492   The “splendor of an entirely unique holiness” by which Mary is “enriched from the first instant of her conception” comes wholly from Christ: she is “redeemed, in a more exalted fashion, by reason of the merits of her Son.” The Father blessed Mary more than any other created person “in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” and chose her “in Christ before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before him in love.”

Para 493  The Fathers of the Eastern tradition call the Mother of God “the All-Holy” (Panagia) and celebrate her as “free from any stain of sin, as though fashioned by the Holy Spirit and formed as a new creature.” By the grace of God Mary remained free from every personal sin her whole life long.

To say that Mary was sinless is to go beyond what Scripture says when it declares in Romans 3:23 that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” In Romans 5:12 God’s Word also says that “just as sin entered the world through one man [Adam], and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all have sinned.” To present a teaching that says Mary never sinned her entire life is also adding to the text what simply is not there, and God’s Word warns against doing such things! (1 Corinthians 4:6)If any teaching cannot be found in Scripture, or if the teaching conflicts with Scripture, it is to be rejected! God’s Word is to be held in higher regard than any teaching of any church  –no matter what!

In the book of Revelation God gives this warning:

“I warn everyone who hears the words if the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.” (Revelation 22:18,19)

Clearly, God’s Word is not to be tampered with!

In the eyes of precious Catholics the teaching of the Immaculate Conception also places Mary on the same level as Jesus Christ, who, as Scripture clearly shows us, did remain sinless His whole life long even though He was temped in all ways as we are:

“But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him, or known him.” (1 John 3:5)

He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth. When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:22)

“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who who has been tempted in every way, just as we areyet was without sin. Let us then approach the of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Once again, for those of you who are Catholic, I must ask you the  question that God strongly impressed upon my mind in 1980 when I began to read the little Catholic New Testament and saw how the many teachings of Catholicism totally oppose what God’s Word has to say:

“Are you going to believe the Word of God, or the word of man?”

God’s Word gives us this warning in Colossians 2:8:

“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.”

In 2 Peter 3:15-18 we are also told:

“Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the errors of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”

In the video below you will see the following quotes taken from messages supposedly given during apparitions of the Virgin Mary. If this was truly Mary she would not be claiming to have the attribute of God’s omnipresence, or telling people to consecrate themselves to her heart.

“I’m always next to all those who pray and pray with maternal anxiety and concern.” (8:47 min. mark)

“I am always present in your midst.” (@ 7:16 min. mark).

“I am always next to all those who pray and pray with maternal desire and instinct.” (@8:52 min. mark).

“I’m always next to all those who pray and pray with maternal anxiety and concern.”(@8:56 min. mark)

“Consecration to My Heart is the vaccine that as loving Mother, I give you to  keep epidemics of atheism that infects so many of  My children, taking them to the death of true spirit.” (@9:07 min. mark)

Video – The Truth is Kept Intact Only in the Catholic Church

At the 9:07 minute mark in the video above you will also see the following:

Once again, the above message is one of many examples that show how precious Catholics are taught that they cannot come directly to Jesus, but must come through the Virgin Mary.

In the video below you will hear the following:

“…a bleeding wound appeared on the right hand of the statue of Our Lady in the chapel. Sister’s guardian angel told her the flowing of blood is significant for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for sins.” (5:55 minute mark)

“According to Sister Sasagawa, the Blessed Virgin wants to gather compassionate souls who can please God by their sufferings.” (7:28 minute mark)

Agnes Sasagawa: “He [God] loves us so deeply. He is trying to save us from the chastisements through Our Lady’s messages.” (7:59 minute mark)

If you listen to the video below, you will come to realize by what this priest says, that the Catholic church clearly teaches that Mary is the dispenser of all graces. In doing so they are, once again, causing many dear Catholics to turn to Mary instead of coming to God through Jesus Christ alone as God’s Word clearly reveals we are to do. (John 14:6) (Acts 4:12) You will also see that they attribute to Mary what only should rightly be the accomplishments of Jesus Christ in the role of our redemption:

“…she gave supernatural life to us at the foot of the cross by acquiring with her Son the graces of our redemption. And her role as mother did not cease after her ascension into heaven but she continues to dispense graces to souls here on earth –all graces. And for this reason we call her ‘The Mediatrix of All Graces.’ So today we invoke her under this title and we ask her to give her all the graces that we need to become the saints that God wants us to be.” (00:58-1:40 minute mark),

In the quick captures below, which are illustrations from the Baltimore Catechism, you will see that it is Mary who is identified as the Dispenser of All Graces:

Here are two videos on this topic from a Biblical perspective. I added many more for you on this topic and others, further below under Related Videos:

In the video below you will hear the following:

“So in today’s gospel where we have Our Lady standing at the foot of the cross…this is from St. John’s gospel…this prophecy of the sword of sorrow comes to fulfillment. The sword of sorrow that will pierce the soul of Our Lady is driven  through her soul at the foot of the cross. And thus she becomes the Co-redemptrix with the Redeemer and the mother of the human race. So as she brought forth our Lord at Bethlehem with no pain,  so now she brings forth the members of His mystical body in great pain… she gives birth, supernatural life to us poor sinners at the foot of the cross. And we too are called to share in this passion, in this work of redemption….we ask to be incorporated into this mystery of redemption, not in the objective redemption that Our Lady took part in,  that is, opening the gates of heaven with her Son, acquiring the graces of redemption, but we’re called to share in the subjective redemption, that is in the distribution of those graces by our prayers, by our sacrifices as Our Lady did, uniting  those with Christ on the cross we can become co-redeemers ourself,  collaborators in the redemption of others, calling down graces, the graces of the redemption, upon souls who are in need…” (00:53-2:41)

While it is true that Mary indeed experienced deep sorrow as she looked upon her Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, as He suffered in agony during the six long hours that He hung on the cross and took upon Himself the sins of the world and the full wrath of God that was intended for us because of our sins, to say that she participated in the work of redemption is completely unbiblical! Nothing can be added — or needs to be added — to the sufferings of Jesus Christ that led to His death which satisfied God’s demand for justice.

The Catholic church has been in the process of petitioning popes — past and present — for quite some time now, desiring to have Mary declared as Co-redemptrix with Jesus Christ:

Mary on the cross with Christ – Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome – source – David Clouds video, entitled ‘Catholicism, Past And Present‘ (see below under Related Videos)

This is why it is so very important for everyone to be born again by the Spirit of God (not through baptism, as taught in Catholicism) so that when we read and study God’s Word we can then come to know the truth by the power of His Holy Spirit, and be able to discern truth from error as soon as we hear something! No matter what is proclaimed through the teachings of the Catholic Church, if it  is not in God’s Word and if it conflicts or contradicts God’s Word even in the slightest way, it is not true!

Here is some of what God’s Word says that points to Jesus Christ and to Him alone as bringing about our salvation:

He [Jesus Christ] came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:11-13) (Insertion added)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18)

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)

Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (John 10:7-9)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:10-12)

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.  And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” (Acts 16:25-31)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” (Romans 3:23,24)

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”(Romans 5:1)

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:6-9)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:1-11)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9,10)

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” (Galatians 2:16)

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of God’s grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1Thessalonians 5:9)

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:3-7)

By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:22-25)

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.” (1 Peter 1:18-21)

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18)

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:3-7 )

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:11-13)

In the following videos you will hear many attempts made by Catholic clergy and leaders in the Catholic church to justify their reasons for petitioning the pope to have the Virgin Mary proclaimed as Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix, and Advocate –titles that should in no way be given to Mary, for Jesus Christ alone is our Redeemer, our Mediator, and our Advocate with the Father, and before Jesus ascended into heaven He made it known that the Holy Spirit would come and be our Advocate (Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 1:13,14, 1 Peter 1:18-21, 1 Timothy 2:5, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25, 1 John 2:1, John 14:16,17, 26, John 15:26, John 16:7)!

These are also titles that the entity in many of the apparitions is requesting to be proclaimed by the pope as *dogmas of the Catholic church, *(dogma – a truth that must be divinely revealed, and it must be infallibly defined by the Catholic church as something that has been divinely revealed, and it must be believed as true by all who claim to be Catholic). I will be sharing more detailed information with you in Part 2 to give evidence to the fact that this being who claims to be the Virgin Mary is making requests to have the pope grant her these titles, and that when he does, true peace will come to the world for a time!

Blessed Virgin Mary: Coredemptrix, Mediatrix, and Advocate

Dr. Miravalle, Professor of Theology and Mariology at the Franciscan University at  Steubenville for over 35 years. He may have a lot of credentials, but does everything he says line up with Scripture? Or is he simply trying to insert into Scripture what simply is not there?

In the following video, clergy from many nations and from many churches, including an Anglican church, gather together to present a proposal to declare Mary as Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix of All Graces, and Advocate of the people of God.  Nowhere in Scripture do we see any evidence to support giving Mary such titles which, regardless of what anyone says, truly would and does detract from what only Jesus Christ accomplished for us through His propitiatory sacrifice on the cross, His death, and His glorious resurrection from the dead!

Here are some quotes from previous popes and Catholic leaders concerning the Virgin Mary:

“Who can worthily thank thee and adequately praise thee, O Blessed Virgin, who by thy fiat has saved a lost world.” ~Saint Augustine

“Sinners receive pardon by the intercession of Mary alone.” ~Saint John Chrysostom

“All those who seek Mary’s protection will be saved for all eternity.” ~Pope Benedict XV

“For God has committed to Mary the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is his will, that we obtain everything through Mary.” ~Pope Pius IX, Ubi Primum, 1849

“The Church…been accustomed to have recourse to that most ready intercessor, her Mother Mary…For as Saint Irenaeus says, she “has become the cause of salvation for the whole human race.” ~Pope Paul VI Christi Matri

“In every miracle we must recognize the mediation of Mary, through whom, according to God’s will, every grace and blessing comes to us.” ~Pope Benedict XV

“O Mary, the guardian of our peace and the dispensatrix of heavenly graces.” ~Pope Leo XIII, Supremi Apostolatus, 1883

Many of the visionaries who see these alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary exhibit unusual spiritual and physical manifestations, many which can be observed in the world of the occult: translike states, levitation, ecstatic falls into sculpture-like positions in which four doctors could not move them, no response when being pricked with pins, having flashlights being directed into their eyes, not being burned when a match was held momentarily against their hand, “walking forward and backwards over rocky terrain with heads tilted back and eyes looking heavenward” as they were drawn to the presence that called them inwardly to the spot where the apparitions took place; all manifestations that defy natural law. Another common occurrence in many of these apparitions is the appearance of an angel to the visionaries announcing that the Virgin Mary would soon be appearing to them, just like what happened at Fatima. In the video below you will discover what took place at Garabandal, Spain in 1961-1965 when the Virgin Mary allegedly appeared to four young girls over 2,000 times and gave them the following messages, and many more, which do not reflect the truth that can be found in the Biblical gospel that shows Jesus Christ’s once for all sacrifice on the cross was sufficient to pay the debt for our sins in full; no more sacrifices are needed!

“You must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, you must lead good lives. If you do not, a chastisement will befall you! The cup is already filling up. If you do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon you.”

You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts, He will pardon you. I, your mother, through the intercession of  St. Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the passion of Jesus.”

At the 3:23 minute mark, it is stated:

“On July 1962 a significant phenomenon took place between Conchita and the Archangel Michael. This miracle was prophesized two weeks in advance. Conchita received a visible communion host on her tongue from the Archangel, witnessed by hundreds of people. This miracle was chosen to call our attention to the reality of the True Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist.”

While the Catholic church does teach that the bread and the wine literally becomes the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ during the Sacrifice of the Mass (CCC Para 1374), many Christians gave their lives and were burned at the stake rather than to accept that as being true. They knew that to accept this teaching would mean they would not only have to deny the sufficiency of Jesus Christ’s once for all sacrifice, but also they would have to reject the truth revealed in God’s Word that clearly says the following:

“Such a high priest meets our need–one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart for sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.” (Hebrews 7:26,27)

“For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one, he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as man is destined to die once and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.” (Hebrews 9:24-28)

“Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.” (Hebrews 10:11,12)

Visionary, Conchita Gonzalez, says the following beginning at the 5:29 minute mark:

“Our Lady did not come just for the people in the village of Garabandal, but rather, she came for the whole world; for all of mankind.”(Again, a message that reveals this entity is attempting to reach everyone –no matter what their religion may be).

Garabandal predicts four supernatural events will take place, and the date they are to happen will be revealed to Conchita eight days in advance:

  • 1) A celestial worldwide warning

  • 2) The great miracle – the sick will be cured and unbelievers will be converted

  • 3) a permanent visible sign will appear and remain until the end of time; a sign that can be photographed and televised but cannot be touched

  • 4) A chastisement

Near the end of this video, the narrator, Ricardo Montalban, has the following to say, which again shows that the messages given during these apparitions are attempting to bring about unity because they are not intended just for Catholics, but to reach and to influence all the people in the world, (as you will see in Part 2 of this series).

“She [the Virgin Mary] clearly wanted all of us to know that we are all her children.”

There has been talk for quite some time now of a “New Pentecost” by many Catholic leaders, and it has also been said that the Virgin Mary will be the one to bring this about:

In the video below you will hear Dr. Miravalle say the following starting at the 6:05  minute mark:

“Well now, we need a new Pentecost. How are we going to get a new Pentecost? We’re going to get a New Pentecost by doing proper tribute to the Mother. By proclaiming the truth about the Mother. By giving the Mother a dogmatic crown… Conceive it this way if you’re a visual person. Think of…a dove entrapped in the Immaculate Heart. Think of our Blessed Mother’s heart and think of a cage in the heart. And think of a dove entrapped in the heart. Now of course the Holy Spirit is divine…of course the Holy Spirit can do what He wants, but in the order of providence…in the order how God has arranged it, the Holy Spirit will not descend until the mother is recognized. So in other words, when the Mother is recognized in the proclamation of the dogma…when she is solemnly pronounced as the Spiritual Mother of all Peoples, then and only then, the Holy Spirit  will be freed to mediate through her in bringing the graces of redemption and a new redemption to humanity. To bring the grace of a new Pentecost to humanity.”

“Saint Maximilian, again, is so one in this thought.  He says, “The Holy Spirit is the source of all graces. Mary is the instrument of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit acts only through the Immaculata…” So, she is the Mediatrix of each and every grace of the H S. That means when you get the dogma, and my friends, it’s not if, it’s when…when the Holy Father makes a proclamation of the dogma…when that takes place, when the Mother is acknowledged, the Holy Spirit, the cage will be opened, the Holy Spirit,  the dove will fly out of the Immaculate heart of Mary and historic graces will come upon a church, the world, in need of these graces by the day.”

As I was continuing my research for this post by listening to many different videos over the past month, I discovered the following video awaiting me yesterday on my YouTube channel among the list of recommended videos for me to watch. Dr. Miravalle opens the video by saying the following:

“You and I must start tapping the supernatural power of our guardian angels.”

Whether you listened to all of what Dr. Miravalle had to say or not, the title of the above video alone should raise some red flags concerning the reliability of Dr. Miravalle’s teachings!

It is my prayer that many of you are now coming to realize by the power of the Holy Spirit, as well as by the evidence in this information that I have shared with you so far, that the Virgin Mary is truly being exalted to a position that is nearly — if not completely — equal with Jesus Christ, God in the flesh by the Roman Catholic Church by giving her titles, and petitioning for titles, that rob Jesus Christ of all the glory that is due to Him alone!

Many of these apparitions have been approved by the Catholic Church because the messages do not conflict with Catholic doctrine. However, if the Catholic church were to test these messages solely against Scripture and not by their “Tradition” that they declare must be accepted and honored with equal sentiments and reverence as Scripture is (CCC Para 80,81,82,95),  most of the messages would fail to line up with God’s Word, and instead they would completely contradict it!

The Virgin Mary as revealed in Scripture would never seek for such power, position, and authority that is being expressed in these messages given during these apparitions! There is only one who would, and he has been striving to do so — and to be worshiped — since the beginning of time –Satan! (Isaiah 14:12-15) (Matthew 4:8-11)

(TO BE CONTINUED IN PART 2)

RELATED SCRIPTURES

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”                       (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high placesWherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:10-13)

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

“Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

“And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”

Capture Catholic New Testament Bible and Catechism of the Catholic Church pic 1

SERIES INTRODUCTION (This post was updated 6:08 P.M. 2-12-17).

There are two very important reasons why I felt compelled to write this series of posts, and I’d like to briefly share these reasons with you now before I go any further:

1) Since I am a former Catholic who is very aware of the teachings of the Catholic Church because I attended twelve years of Catholic school, attended Catechism classes, made my First Holy Communion, was Confirmed, and faithfully attended Mass not only every Sunday for many years, but also before school began for three years (as required by the school that I attended at the time),  and who came to the knowledge of who Jesus Christ truly is and what He actually accomplished for us by reading a Catholic New Testament Bible exactly like the one pictured above, I decided to write this series with the hope of reaching Catholics so that they can not only come to an understanding of who Jesus Christ truly is as His Word, the Bible, declares Him to be, but also so they can see by reading God’s Word that they can have complete forgiveness, lasting joy, true peace, and the assurance of salvation if they choose to believe God’s Word and place their trust in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation. Also, since many Catholics do not realize everything that the Catholic church actually teaches (as I once did not realize until after doing research and reading the CCC), I thought that it was extremely important to share this information to make Catholics aware of many things that are quite disturbing, as you will all soon become aware of as this series continues.

2) This series of posts is also being written with the intention of helping those of you who are born-again, Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ who have no idea of what the teachings of Catholicism are so that you can become aware of their teachings and be prepared to offer hope and assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ to Catholics based solely upon the truth that is recorded in God’s Word.

As we continue on in this series together comparing Scriptures in the Catholic New Testament to teachings found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, we must keep these important thoughts in mind:

When it comes to our eternal destination — heaven or hell — we must be certain that we place our trust in solid truth and not in speculation or in the traditions of men. The Catholic church claims to be the “one true Church.” Therefore, it stands to reason that their teachings must line up with God’s Word and not contradict it since God does not change (Malachi 3:6, James 1:17, Hebrews 13:8), and His Word stands firm forever. (Psalm 119:89, Isaiah 40:8, 1 Peter 1:24,25) If a contradiction is found it must be rejected because God’s Word is our plumb line by which we must measure (or test) the teachings of every religion to see if it lines up or not. If it is off in one point we can be certain that it will lead us further and further away from Biblical truth and lead us into spiritual deception.

This series will cover many different subjects ranging from what does the Catholic Church teach about the Bible, Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, priests, the pope, sin, forgiveness of sins, salvation, prayer, and what must a Catholic believe in order to receive eternal life. Some of these teachings will shock even many Catholics when they learn what their church actually teaches!

Lord willing, I hope to share at least one post every month with you in this new series until I have covered all the most important teachings that need to be brought to your attention. The main goal that I have in writing this series is to present the Word of God to Catholics — and to every person — in order to point everyone to Jesus Christ, who is our only hope and ‘the only name under heaven given among men by which we can be saved.’ (Acts 4:12)

Dear Catholic, please take a minute now to pray, asking God to open your mind to the Scriptures and to reveal the truth to you –whatever that may be.

Because only God can reveal the truth to you, I will refrain from making any comments unless I find it completely necessary. Since God’s Word is truth I trust that He will not only give you eyes to see the truth, but also I trust that He will give you the courage to respond to His leading. However, each one of you will find yourself having to answer this question when you come to many points that I present to you in these posts after realizing that there are oftentimes extreme differences between what the Word of God says and what Catholicism teaches, and the question that you will have to answer is:

“Are you going to believe the Word of God, or the word of man?”

Please keep in mind, as you are carefully reading all of the statements made from the following Catholic sources, that every time you see the word “church” spelled with a capital c they are referring to the Catholic church, since they believe that the “Catholic Church” alone is the “one true Church.”All of the information that I will be sharing with you I have obtained from the following sources:

1) CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH (pictured above) – Imprimi Potest – Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (who later became Pope Benedict) – Interdicasterial Commission for the Catechism of the Catholic Church

2) THE WORD OF GOD – THE NEW TESTAMENT OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR  IN TODAY’S ENGLISH VERSION – SACRED HEART LEAGUE EDITION – IMPRIMATUR JOHN FRANCIS WHEALON, ARCHBISHOP OF HARTFORD, APRIL 15, 1971 SIGNED AND SEALED BY BISHOP JOSEPH B. BRUNINI, DIOCESE OF JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI

3) Occasionally when I share a Scripture with you from the Sacred Heart League (SHL) Catholic New Testament and notice that it lacks depth and clarity, I will then follow it with the same verse but in the King James Version in order to give you a better understanding of what is being said, and so that you can see what is missing from the SHL translation.

4) Very briefly in this series, I will also be quoting from THE CATHOLIC DOUAY RHEIMS VERSION OF THE BIBLE – in which you will find the following statements:

“EXCERPT FROM ENCYCLICAL LETTER OF OUR HOLY FATHER BY DIVINE PROVIDENCE POPE LEO XIII ON THE STUDY OF HOLY SCRIPTURE:

“The God of all Providence, Who in the adorable designs of His love at first elevated the human race to the participation of the Divine nature, and afterwards delivered it from the universal guilt and ruin, restoring it to its primitive dignity, has in consequence bestowed upon man a splendid gift and safeguard–making known to him, by supernatural means, the hidden Mysteries of His divinity, His wisdom, and His mercy. For although in Divine revelations there are contained some things which are not beyond the reach of unassisted reason, and which are made the objects of such revelation in order “that all may come to know them with facility, certainty, and safety from error, yet not on this account can supernatural Revelation be said to be absolutely necessary; it is only necessary because God has ordained man to a supernatural end.” This supernatural revelation according to the belief of the universal Church, is contained both in unwritten Tradition, and in written Books, which are therefore called sacred and canonical because, “being written under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, they have God for their author, and as such have been delivered to the Church.” (Page ix)

“Wherefore it must be recognised that the sacred writings are wrapt in a certain religious obscurity, and that no one can enter into their interior without a guide; God so disposing, as the Holy Fathers commonly teach, in order that men may investigate them with greater ardour and earnestness, and that what is attained with difficulty may sink more deeply into the mind and heart; and, most of all that they may understand that God has delivered the Holy Scriptures to the Church, and that in reading and making use of His Word, they must follow the Church as their guide and their teacher.  St. Irenaeus long since laid down, that where the charismata of God were, there the truth was to be learnt, and that Holy Scripture was safely interpreted by those who had the Apostolic succession.  His teaching, and that of other Holy Fathers, is taken up by the Council of the Vatican, which, in the renewing of the decree of Trent, declares its “mind” to be this–that “in things of faith and morals, belonging to the building up of Christian doctrine, that is to be considered the true sense of Holy Scripture which has been held and is held by our Holy Mother the Church whose place it is to judge of the true sense and interpretation of the Scriptures; and therefore that it is permitted to no one to interpret Holy Scripture against such sense or also against the unanimous agreement  of the Fathers.” (Page xvii)

“Wherefore the first and dearest object of the Catholic commentator  should be to interpret those passages which have received an authentic interpretation either by the sacred writers themselves, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost (as in many places of the New Testament), or from the Church, under the assistance of the same Holy Spirit, whether by her solemn judgment or her ordinary and universal magisterium –to interpret those passages in that identical sense, and to prove, by all the resources of science that sound hermeneutical laws admit of no other interpretation. In the other passages, the analogy of faith should be followed, and Catholic doctrine, as authoritatively proposed by the Church, should be held as the supreme law; for seeing that the same God is the author both of the Sacred Books and of the doctrine committed to the Church, it is clearly impossible that any teaching can by legitimate means be extracted from the former, which shall in any respect be at variance with the latter. Hence it follows that all interpretation is foolish and false which either makes the sacred writers disagree one with another, or is opposed to the doctrine of the Church.” (Page xviii)

“For although the studies of non-Catholics, used with prudence, may sometimes be of use to the Catholic student, he should nevertheless, bear well in mind–as the Fathers also teach in numerous passages –that the sense of Holy Scripture can nowhere be found incorrupt outside of the Church, and cannot be expected to be found in writers who, being without the true faith, only gnaw the bark of the Sacred Scripture and never attain its pith.” (Page xix)

INTRODUCTION TO PART 6

In the previous post in this Catholicism series, you saw how some of the teachings that can be found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church completely line up with Scripture. Many of you also came to the realization while reading that post that a few of their teachings also raise some serious concerns! As we continue going through the teachings in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), many of you will find your concern begin to grow even stronger when the subject of salvation according to the Catholic Church is presented, and when many other theological issues are compared to Biblical truth, as well.

In this particular post we will take a very brief look (for now) at one of the alleged Apparitions of Mary because of something that is said about the Virgin Mary amidst this next thirty-five page section of the CCC that we are about to go through.

At this point I would like to stop and take just a moment in order to bring to your attention the fact that on May 13th of this year (2017) will be the 100th Year Anniversary of the Apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Fatima. Therefore, Lord willing, in the near future I will be presenting you with what will most likely end up being quite a lengthy post (that I have actually already started) which will focus not only on these alleged appearances of the Virgin Mary at Fatima, but also this upcoming post will include detailed information concerning what is being planned for this 100th Year Anniversary celebration. Most importantly, we will be testing the messages that were given by this apparition at Fatima against the truth of God’s Word to see if what was said in these messages that were given to three young  children line up with Scripture. After all, if it truly was the Virgin Mary who appeared at Fatima in 1917 then we should expect everything that she said to completely line up with Scripture because the Mary of the Bible would never contradict the very Words of God.

One of the main sources that I will be quoting from in this upcoming post will be a little book on the Apparitions of Fatima that was given to me back in the early 1980s by my Aunt Lee who was a Catholic nun for many years before she sadly died. I decided to keep it for research purposes, and now I’m very glad that I did.

Before I finish researching and writing that particular post, however, I will, Lord willing, be writing another post in the very near future which will focus on many of these alleged apparitions of Mary that have taken place around the world. In this upcoming post we will take a look at many of these messages that were given by the woman in these apparitions who claims to be the Virgin Mary, and, once again, we will test these messages against Scripture to see if what has been said lines up with the truth of God’s Word.

Now back to some more information about this post that you are presently reading:

Since the subject of communion comes up in this next section of the CCC, we will also be taking a few minutes in this post to look at the Roman Catholic Church’s teaching on the Sacrifice of the Mass, and test what they teach against Scripture to see if what they say is true according to the Word of God. We will be taking a very in depth look at the Sacrifice of the Mass in an upcoming post in this series when they present the teaching on the Sacrifice of the Mass in greater detail further on in this CCC book.

In this particular post I will be presenting you with most of the additional information that I have added to this post in the very beginning of this post rather than how I normally do it, which is by adding the information below the section that it applies to. I prayerfully decided to do it this way in order to not only prepare you for what you are about to read in the CCC, but also I thought by doing it this way it would help you to grow in your ability to learn to discern by being aware of some important information and the truth of God’s Word before you begin reading more of the teachings that can be found in  the CCC.

Before we finally begin, may I ask those of you who are Catholic to just take a moment to pray and ask God to show you the truth according to His Word? For those of you who are born-again Christians and are not aware of what the teachings of the Catholic Church are, please also take a moment to pray for discernment, and be sure to test everything in light of Scripture not only regarding what’s in this post, but also regarding what’s in everything that you read and listen to. None of us want to be deceived!

NOTE: This post is not quite finished. However, since my computer has been acting up today I decided to publish it anyhow so as to avoid losing all of the information that I have so far. (Over 12,000 words). My computer has crashed a few times in the past and I lost most of the information that I had added to those posts, and it just crashed a few minutes ago, but thankfully I don’t think I lost anything this time. I will continue working on this post over the next few days until it is finally completed, and will then remove this note. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATED THIS POST SUNDAY 2-12-17 – 6:00 and 6:09 P.M. ALMOST FINISHED!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KEEP IN MIND AS YOU READ THIS POST

Concerning Apparitions of the Virgin Mary

The Catholic Church has not approved all of the many alleged apparitions of Mary that have taken place all around the world. They have however, approved of these particular apparitions that took place in Quito Ecuador from 1589 to 1634 which if they are to be believed as being from God, then one must believe that these statues were miraculously completed by the angels; they were “transformed and finished at the hands of St. Francis, St. Michael the Archangel, St. Gabriel the Archangel, and *St. Raphael the Archangel, *who is not mentioned in the Hebrew Scriptures, but is mentioned in the book of  Tobias ( a non-canonical book). One must also believe that “the Virgin Mary approached the statue and entered into it.” It has been said that, “At that moment the holy statue took on life.” ( You can hear the above portion beginning at the 2:10-2:43 minute mark).

Before the Catholic Church gives their final approval of an apparition, a lot of time is put into not only evaluating the life of the person who makes the claim of seeing these apparitions, but also a lot of time is put into examining the messages given during these apparitions. Their basis for determining if these messages are valid or not is not solely  based upon if these messages line up with Scripture, but rather they mainly examine the messages to see if they agree with or contradict Catholic doctrine.

In the following video you will hear him share some rather disturbing examples of apparitions and visions that have taken place over the years, as well as how they discern “whether an apparition is from God or the devil.” He also explains two major types of revelation; official/public revelation and private revelation:

Official/public revelation: ” Official revelation is the body of infallible truth that makes up our Catholic faith.”

“It’s all those beliefs that we must accept to be Catholic.” Now…official revelation has only two sources: One of them is the Bible; the Scriptures, because the Scriptures are infallible. The other one is the Apostolic traditions of the church…they’re the practices, the truths that are not contained in the Bible that have existed within the faith since the time of the apostles.”

“Official revelation ended with the death of the last apostle, and nothing can be added to it…that’s very important. The church reveals and further explains official revelation throughout history, but nothing can be added to it.” Because God’s revelation to us was whole; it was complete, it doesn’t need anything else. So that’s official revelation… A perfect example of that is the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven. That’s a truth that’s not contained in the Bible, but goes back to the time of the apostles; the people who actually witnessed it take place. It goes all the way back to that source, so…that is official revelation. Because Christ Himself is the only one who brought official revelation to the world. And where that was recorded was in the minds of the apostles and in the Scriptures themselves.”

Private revelation: Those revelations made by God to saints and to pious people after the church was founded. And even when the church approves of these revelations, it doesn’t oblige the faithful to believe in them. It doesn’t have the binding force of official revelation. Catholics need to look at private revelations and use their prudence, their wisdom to try to discern if they’re true or not. To help us in this process the church does approve of some private revelations, but once again, it doesn’t demand that the faithful believe in those apparitions even the ones that it has approved of.”

In regards to the Catholic church and their teachings concerning the end times and the return of Jesus Christ:

1. They do not believe in any form of rapture; the catching away of all those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection before God’s judgment comes upon this earth.

2. They do not believe that Jesus Christ will reign for a literal one thousand years upon this earth (Revelation 20:1-6); they believe Jesus presently reigns through the Church –the Catholic Church.

In order to prepare for writing this particular post I listened to many videos to get an accurate understanding of what the Catholic Church teaches concerning the end times and the return of Jesus Christ. In an upcoming post I will be sharing some videos with you on this subject, but for now here is some rather chilling and disturbing information concerning the end times revealed through messages given during Marian apparitions:

Below is a quick captured portion of an article that was written in 1996 by Catholic priest, Stefano Gobbi who states the following:

“Brother priests, we are priests chosen for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is why Our Lady made the Marian Movement of Priests arise within the Church. She has chosen us priests to be part of this Movement, so that we may be instruments of the triumph of her Immaculate Heart in the world. But in order for us to become instruments for the triumph of her Immaculate Heart, Our Lady must triumph in our lives. To be able to triumph, she asks us to consecrate ourselves to her Immaculate Heart so that she can enter into our priestly lives as our Mother and work to transform us and to make of us, ever more, priests according to the Heart of Jesus. When she sees us similar to her Son Jesus, then her Immaculate Heart triumphs in us.”

capture-stefano-gobbi-marian-movement-of-priests-the-second-coming-and-the-eucharistic-reign(SOURCE)

In the following portion from the same article you will read what many in the Catholic Church teach concerning the end times, which is that the Eucharistic Christ will reign upon this earth, as revealed in one of the messages given to Catholic priest, Stefano Gobbi, supposedly by the Virgin Mary.

If many of you are unfamiliar with the term the “Eucharistic Christ,” here is some information for you that will help you to understand what the Catholic Church teaches:

“The mode of Christ’s presence under the Eucharistic species is unique. It raises the Eucharist above all the sacraments as “the perfection of the spiritual life and the end to which all the sacraments tend.” In the most blessed sacrament of the Eucharist “the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity, of our Lord Jesus Christ and, therefore, the whole Christ is truly, really, and substantially contained. (Para 1374 CCC)

Worship of the Eucharist In the liturgy of the Mass we express our faith in the real presence of Christ under the species of bread and wine, by, among other ways, genuflecting or bowing deeply as a sign of  adoration of our Lord. “The Catholic Church always offered and still offers to the sacrament of the Eucharist the cult of adoration, not only during Mass, but also outside of it, reserving the consecrated hosts with the utmost care, exposing them to the solemn veneration of the faithful of the faithful and carrying them in procession.” (Para 1378)

“It is highly fitting that Christ should have wanted to remain present to his Church in this unique way. Since Christ was about to take his departure from his own in his visible form, he wanted to give us his sacramental presence; since he was about to offer himself on the cross to save us, he wanted us to have the memorial of the love with which he loved us “to the end,” even to the giving of his life. In his Eucharistic presence he remains mysteriously in our midst as the one who loved us and gave himself up for us, and he remains under signs that express and communicate this love:

“The Church and the world have great need for Eucharistic worship. Jesus awaits us in this sacrament of love. Let us not refuse the time to go to meet him in adoration, in contemplation full of faith, and open to making amends for the serious offenses and crimes of the world. Let our adoration never cease.”

Dear Catholic, please contrast the above statements from the CCC to what Jesus said in John Chapter 14:16, 16:7-13, and Matthew 28:20:

“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, the Spirit of truth, to stay with you forever.”

“But I tell you the truth: it is better for you that I go away, because if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I do go away, then I will send him to you. And when he comes he will prove to the people of the world that they are wrong about sin, and about what is right, and about God’s judgment. They are wrong about sin, because they do not believe in me; about what is right, because I am going to the Father and you will not see me any more; about judgment, because the ruler of this world has already been judged. I have much more to tell you, but now it would be too much for you to bear. But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all the truth.”

“And remember! I will be with you always, to the end of the age.”

In the fourth paragraph in the quick capture below you will also read about the “unity” that the Virgin Mary allegedly spoke about to Catholic priest, Stefano Gobbi…a unity that causes many of us who are Bible believing Christians to grieve and to shudder as we presently watch many give in to compromise because they are led by their emotions and end up sacrificing Biblical truth for the sake of unity. For your convenience I typed an important portion of it out below so that it would be easier for you to read:

“In a message Our Lady says that through her Immaculate Heart, universal peace will take place and the unity of the Church will be achieved. Finally, after so many years of division, and after so many (almost useless) efforts of ecumenism, the unity of the Church will be achieved and we will truly have the Eucharistic Reign of Christ within us.”

capture-catholic-priest-stefano-gobbi-message-from-marian-apparition-concerning-the-eucharistic-reign-of-christ(SOURCE)

With all of that being said, let’s start by reading Scriptures that focus on the main points in this next section of the CCC, and please keep them in mind as you finally begin reading the teachings of the Catholic Church that you will find further below.

Be prepared, dear Catholic, because frequently you will once again find yourself having to answer this question:

“Are you going to believe the Word of God, or the word of man?”

Statements pertaining to what you will soon read, followed by Scriptures that will present you with God’s truth on the subject:

1. The Bible is God’s Living Word, therefore that is all we need to determine what is true or not spiritually:

“But as for you, continue in the truths that you were taught and firmly believe. You know who your teachers were, and you remember that ever since you were a child you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the man who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good work. I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge all men, living and dead: because of his coming and of his Kingdom, I command you to preach the message, to insist upon telling it, whether the time is right or not; to convince, reproach, and encourage, teaching with all patience. The time will come when men will not listen to the true teaching, but will follow their own desires, and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give their attention to legends. But you must keep control of yourself in all circumstances; endure suffering, do the work of a preacher of the Good News, and perform your whole duty as a servant of God.” (2 Timothy 3:14-17, 4:1-5)(SHL)

“The Word of God is alive and active. It is sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meets, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of men’s hearts. There is nothing that can be hid from God. Everything in all creation is exposed and lies open before his eyes; and it is to him that we must all give account of ourselves.” (Hebrews 4:12) (SHL)

2. Concerning needing personal or further revelations, we need  nothing else since God has given us not only His Holy Word, but also His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, who is the living Word of God:

“Before the world was created, the Word already existed; he was with God, and he was the same as God. From the very beginning, the Word was with God.  Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him. The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to  men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has never put  it out.” (John 1:1-5) (SHL)

“He rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us safe into the kingdom of his dear Son, by whom we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven. Christ is the visible likeness of the invisible God. He is the firstborn Son, superior to all created things.

For by him God created everything in heaven and on earth, the seen and the unseen things, including spiritual powers, lords, rulers, and authorities. God created the whole universe through him and for him. He existed before all things, and in union with him all things have their proper place. He is the head of his body, the church; he is the source of the body’s life; he is the firstborn Son who was raised from death, in order that he alone might have the first place in all things. For it was by God’s own decision that the Son has in himself the full nature of God.

Through the Son, then, God decided to bring the whole universe back to himself. God made peace through his Son’s death on the cross, and so brought back to himself all things, both on earth and in heaven. At one time you were far away from God and were his enemies because of the evil things you did and thought. But now, by means of the physical death of his Son, God has made you his friends in order to bring you holy, pure, and faultless into his presence. You must, of course, continue faithful on a firm and sure foundation and not allow yourselves to  be shaken from the hope you gained when you heard the gospel. It is of this gospel that I, Paul, became a servant–this gospel which has been preached to everybody in the world.”              (Colossians 1:13-23) (SHL)

“In the past God spoke to our ancestors many times and in many ways through the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son. He is the one through whom God created the universe, the one whom God has chosen to possess all things at the end. He shines with the brightness of God’s glory; he is the exact likeness of God’s own being, and sustains the universe with his powerful word. After he had made men clean from their sins, he sat down in heaven at the right side of God, the Supreme Power.

The Son was made greater than the angels, just as the name that God gave him is greater than theirs. For God never said to any of his angels, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.” Nor did God say to any angel, “I will be his Father, and he shall be my Son.” When God was about to send his firstborn Son into the world, he also said, “All of God’s angels must worship him.”

This is what God says about the angels, “God makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire.” About the Son, however, God said: “Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever! You rule over your kingdom with  justice. You love the right and hate the wrong; that is why God, your God, chose you and gave you joy of an honor far greater than he gave to your companions.”

He also said, “You, Lord, in the beginning created the earth, and with your own hands you made the heavens. They will all disappear, but you will remain; they will all grow old like clothes. You will fold them up like a coat, and they will be changed like clothes. But you are always the same, and you will never grow old.” God never did say to any of his angels: “Sit here at my right side, until I put your enemies as a footstool under your feet.” What are the angels, then? They are all spirits who serve God and are sent by him to help those who are to receive salvation.” (Hebrews 1:1-14) (SHL)

3. Beware of “another Jesus” and “another gospel” being preached to you:

“I am jealous for you just as God is; you are like a pure virgin whom I have promised in marriage to one man only, who is Christ. I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ–in the same way that Eve was deceived by the snake’s clever lies. For you gladly tolerate anyone who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus, not the one we preached; and you accept a spirit and a gospel completely different from the spirit and the gospel you received from us!” (2 Corinthians 11:2-4) (SHL)

“I am surprised at you! In no time at all you are deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ, and are going to another gospel. Actually, there is no “other gospel,” but I say it because there are some people who are upsetting you and are trying to change the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel that is different from the one we preached to you, may he be condemned to hell! We have said it before, and now I say it again: If anyone preaches to you a gospel that is different from the one you accepted, may he be condemned to hell! (Galatians 1:6-9)(SHL)

4. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, the only Mediator between God and man, and the only name by which we can be saved. The Virgin Mary, a humble and courageous woman who loved and obeyed God, was indeed blessed among women to have been chosen by God to give birth to His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who wrapped Himself in human flesh and came into this world to be our Savior. However, she must never be presented in such a way that what is taught about her goes beyond what God’s Word says and ends up even contradicting God’s Word and elevating her to the point of almost being equal to Jesus Christ, or even at times having more power and authority than Jesus Christ, as you will soon see by some of the information that I have added further below. Please keep these Scriptures in mind:

“Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me.” (John 14:6) (SHL)

“For there is one God, and there is one who brings God and men together, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself to redeem all men.” (1 Timothy 2:5) (SHL)

“Peter,  full of the Holy Spirit, answered them, “Leaders of the people and elders: if we are being questioned today about the good deed done to the lame man and how he was made well, then you should all know, and all the people of Israel should know, that this man stands here before you completely well by the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth–whom you crucified and God raised from death. Jesus is the one of whom the scripture says, ‘ The stone that you the builders despised turned out to be the most important stone.’ Salvation is to be found through him alone; for there is no one else in all the world, whose name God has given to men, by whom we can be saved.” (Acts 4:8-12) (SHL)

5. The Holy Spirit, the third Person in the Godhead, was sent by Jesus Christ to guide us into all truth and to be with us forever. Never in Scripture do we read that the Virgin Mary would be sent to us to be with us, as some of the messages in many apparitions declare, as you will soon see in an upcoming post –Lord willing:

“If you love me, you will obey my commandments. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, the Spirit of truth, to stay with you forever. The world cannot receive him, because it cannot see him or know him.” (John 14:15-17a) (SHL)

6. All of us are sinners –including the Virgin Mary who humbly admitted her need for a Savior:

“Mary said, “My heart praises the Lord; my soul is glad because of God my Savior, because he has remembered me, his lowly servant.” (Luke 1:46-48)

7. The only sinless person who ever walked this earth was Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. God clearly shows us this truth in His Word, as well as His amazing love and mercy –if you will only take the time to read these Scriptures, dear Catholic, and anyone else who has not yet place your trust in Jesus Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection as your only hope for forgiveness and acceptance by a thrice Holy God:

“As the Scriptures say: “There is no one who is righteous, no one who understands, or who seeks for God. All men have turned away from God; they have all gone wrong; no one does what is good, not even one.” (Romans 3:10-12) (SHL)

“God puts men right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all: all men have sinned and are far away from God’s saving presence. But by the free gift of God’s grace they are all put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free. God offered him so that by his death he should become the means by which men’s sins are forgiven, through their faith in him. God did this in order to demonstrate his righteousness. In the past he was patient and overlooked men’s sins; but now in the present time he deals with men’s sins, to demonstrate his righteousness. In this way God shows that he himself is righteous and that he puts right everyone who believes in Jesus. ” (Romans 3:23) (SHL)

“Let us, then, hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we have a great high priest who has gone into the very presence of God–Jesus the Son of God. Our high priest is not one who cannot feel sympathy with our weaknesses. On the contrary, we have a high priest who was tempted in every way that we are, but did not sin. Let us be brave, then, and come forward to God’s throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.” (Hebrews 4:14,15)(SHL)

8. Nowhere in Scripture do we see the Virgin Mary proclaimed to be the New Eve. We do, however, see Jesus Christ being declared as the last/second (New) Adam:

“For the scripture says, “The first man, Adam, was created a living being.”; but the last Adam is the life-giving Spirit. It is not the spiritual that comes first, but the physical, and then the spiritual. The first Adam was made from the dust of the earth; the second Adam came from heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:45-47) SHL

9. Dear Catholic, please listen to me carefully…nowhere in Scripture is the Virgin Mary ever exalted in such a way as you will hear her being exalted in the following video by a  Catholic priest. God makes it very clear in His Word when He says the following:

“I the Lord, this is my name: I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to graven things.” (Isaiah 42:8) (Douay Rheims Catholic Bible)

“For my own sake, for my own sake will I do it, that I may not be blasphemed: and I will not give my glory to another.” (Isaiah 48:11) (DRCB)

In the video further below you will not only hear the Catholic priest who gives this message say how the “restrainer” spoken of in 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 is said to possibly be “the Pope” or “the Sacrifice of the Mass” instead of the Holy Spirit, but you will also hear how he adds to the truth of God’s Word by saying unbelievable things concerning the Virgin Mary that cannot be found anywhere in Scripture! These teachings end up elevating her to a position of power that would completely repulse the true, humble Virgin Mary of the Bible, and have the potential to cause many precious Catholics to believe complete lies about the Virgin Mary which will then lead them further from coming to know the truth concerning the full glory and majesty of Jesus Christ and all that He accomplished for us!

Here are just a few of the many disturbing and unbiblical things that you will hear being said, which begins by focusing on the apparitions at Fatima in 1917:

“This formula for peace and the triumph of Jesus, Mary, and Holy Church began with the recitation of the most holy Rosary. The Queen instructed her three little subjects, “Say the Rosary every day in order to obtain peace for the world and an end to the war.” Furthermore she encouraged them to do penances, to make sacrifices for sinners that they might be saved from the fires of hell. And Our Lady also spoke about her special roll in crushing Satan’s unjust tyranny. The key to true peace and human salvation was devotion to Our Lady. A consecration, in fact, of Russia and every single human person to her Immaculate Heart. Through Mary’s Queenship over all hearts and all nations, her triumphant reign, Christ’s Kingship would be present both in the interior life of men and in the public life of nations. Because where Mary is truly queen, Jesus is King.” (6:10 – 7:19 min. mark)

“In other words, the continued rejection of Christ’s Kingship and Mary’s reign as Queen, would mean their further absence and withdrawal, leaving men to suffer the horrible consequences.” (8:57-9:10)

“And to prove that Our Lady had truly visited  her  loyal subjects and that her message was real and was to be followed, a miracle from heaven was provided for all to see that would rival, and, yes, truly surpass the parting of the Red Sea by Moses.” (9:30-9:47 min. mark)

“As King Solomon of old reverenced his own mother, Queen Bathsheba, and seated her on a throne to his right and granted her every request, so the ultimate King of Wisdom and Prince of Peace, Christ the King, has placed his own mother upon a heavenly throne, and her intercession is omnipotent. Wherever Christ is King by right and by conquest, Mary is Queen by grace and by participation in that conquest. As the Mother of God, and the Mother of our King, Mary shares in the universal Kingship of Jesus Himself. For the Almighty has done great things for her, and holy is her name.” (12:10 -12:55 min. mark)

“And Pope Pius the XII only confirmed this statement of St. Thomas when he wrote, “It cannot be doubted that Mary Most Holy is far above all creatures in dignity, and after her Son possesses primacy over all creation. Her reign extends even to the demons themselves who are obliged to recognize her power. For  she can command that their temptations cease. She can save souls from their snares. And, yes, she can repulse their attacks, and they must kneel before her.” (13:10-13:45 min. mark)

Now I come to my last, but most important point. I consider it to be the most important point because it concerns and affects the truly good news of the gospel, our salvation, and therefore our eternal destiny:

10. Although the “Holy Mass” is centered entirely on Jesus Christ, Catholicism is based upon the Sacramental System and focuses mainly on the Sacrifice of the Mass.

Yes, dear Catholic, I know that Catholicism teaches that “the Mass is one and the same sacrifice as the one on Calvary,” (Para 1367 CCC) and how they also teach that during the Mass Jesus Christ is just being “represented to the Father,” and that they teach He is being offered in an “unbloody manner.” (Para 1382 CCC) However, as you will soon learn as we continue going through the teachings of the CCC, the Catholic Church also teaches that “the work of our redemption is carried out through the Sacrifice of the Mass.” (Para 1364 CCC)  If you carefully read what God’s Word has to say, and if you will pray and ask God to show you what the truth is, you will see that God makes it extremely clear in His Word that “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness,” (Hebrews 9:22) and that Jesus Christ’s “once for all” sacrifice on the cross (see Scriptures below) completely satisfied God’s wrath that He has towards us because of our sins, and therefore, when He willingly sacrificed  His life for us by dying in our place on the cross, His death was sufficient to pay the debt for all of our sins –in full! Because of God’s great love and mercy, and because His demand for justice has been met, there is no longer any need for any more sacrifices!

Please take a moment to ask God to open your eyes to the truth and then read the following Scriptures with all of the above thoughts in mind:

“But Christ did not go in to offer himself many times; for then he would have had to suffer many times; for then he would have had to suffer many times ever since the creation of the world. Instead, he has now appeared once and for all, when all ages of time are nearing the end, to remove sin through the sacrifice of himself. Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God, In the same manner, Christ also was offered in sacrifice once to take away the sins of many. He will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are waiting for him.”(Hebrews 10:25-28) (SHL)

“Because Jesus Christ did what God wanted him to do, we are all made clean from sin by the offering that he made of his own body, once and for all. Every Jewish priest stands and performs his services every day and offers the same sacrifices many times. But these sacrifices can never take away sins. Christ, however, offered one sacrifice for sins, an offering that is good forever, and then sat down at the right side of God. There he now waits until God puts his enemies as a footstool under his feet. With one sacrifice, then, he has made perfect forever those who are clean from sin. And the Holy Spirit also gives us his witness. First he says, “This is the covenant that I will make with them  in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their hearts , and write them on their minds.” And then he says, “I will not remember their sins and wicked deeds any longer.” So when these have been forgiven, an offering to take away sins is no longer needed.” (Hebrews 10:10-18) (SHL)

Now, finally, I present to you the next section in the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

ARTICLE 6

“HE ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN AND IS SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER”

“So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.” (Para 659)

Jesus’ final apparition ends with the irreversible entry of his humanity into divine glory, symbolized by the cloud and by heaven, where he is seated from that time forward at God’s right hand.” (Para 659)

“This final stage stays closely linked to the first, that is, to his descent from heaven in the Incarnation. Only the one who “came from the Father” can return to the Father: Christ Jesus. “No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven, the Son of man.” (Para 661)

“And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.” The lifting up of Jesus on the cross signifies and announces his lifting up by his Ascension into heaven, and indeed begins it. Jesus Christ, the one priest of the new and eternal Covenant, “entered, not into a sanctuary made by human hands…but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.” There Christ permanently exercises his priesthood, “for he always lives to make intercession” for “those who draw near to God through him.” As “high priest of the good things to come” he is the center and the principal actor of the liturgy that honors the Father in heaven.” (Para 662)

“Henceforth Christ is seated at the  right hand of the Father: “By ‘the Father’s right hand’ we understand the glory and honor of divinity, where he who exists as Son of God before all ages, indeed as God, of one being with the Father, is seated bodily after he became incarnate and his flesh was glorified.” (Para 663)

“Jesus Christ, having entered the sanctuary of heaven once and for all, intercedes constantly for us as the mediator who assures us of the permanent outpouring of the Holy Spirit.” (Para 667)

At this point I find it necessary to take a brief moment to remind you, once again, that whenever you see the word “church” capitalized, it is specifically referring to the “Catholic Church.” This will become clearer to you as we continue on in this series.

Let’s continue by taking just a glimpse, at this point, at what Catholicism teaches concerning the end times:

1. HE WILL COME AGAIN IN GLORY

Christ already reigns through the Church…”Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.” Christ’s Ascension into heaven signifies his participation, in his humanity, in God’s power and authority. Jesus Christ is Lord: he possesses all power in heaven and on earth. He is far above all rule and authority and power and dominion,” for the Father “has put all things under his feet.” Christ is Lord of the cosmos and of history. In him human history and indeed all creation are “set forth” and transcendently fulfilled.” (Para 668)

“As Lord, Christ is also head of the Church, which is his Body. Taken up to heaven and glorified after he had thus fully accomplished his mission, Christ dwells on earth in his Church. The redemption is the source of the authority that Christ, by virtue of the Holy Spirit , exercises over the Church. “The kingdom of Christ [is] already present in mystery,” “on earth, the seed and the beginning of the kingdom.” (Para 669)

“Since the Ascension God’s plan has entered into its fulfillment. We are already “at the last hour.” “Already the final age of the world is with us, and the renewal  of the world is irrevocably under way; it is even now anticipated in a certain real way, for the Church on earth is endowed already with a sanctity that is real but imperfect.” Christ’s kingdom already manifests its presence through the miraculous signs that attend its proclamation by the Church.” (Para 670)

…until all things are subjected to him

“Though already present in his Church, Christ’s reign is nevertheless yet to be fulfilled “with power and great glory” by the king’s return to earth. This reign is still under attack by the evil powers, even though they have been defeated definitively by Christ’s Passover. Until everything is subject to him, “until there be realized new heavens and a new earth in which justice dwells, the pilgrim Church, in her sacraments and institutions, which belong to this present age, carries the mark of this world which will pass, and she herself takes her place among the creatures which groan and travail yet and await the revelation of the sons of God.” That is why Christians pray, above all in the Eucharist, to hasten Christ’s return by saying to him: *”Marana tha! “Our Lord, come!” (Para 671)

The glorious advent of Christ, the hope of Israel

“Since the Ascension Christ’s coming in glory has been imminent, even though “it is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.” This eschatological coming could be accomplished at any moment, even if both it and the fiery trial that will precede it are “delayed.”

The Church’s ultimate trial

Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a fiery trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.” (Para 675)

“The  Antichrist’s deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgment. The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism, especially the “intrinsically perverse” political form of secular messianism.” (Para 676)

“The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection. The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God’s victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride to come down from heaven. God’s triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.” (Para 677)

CHAPTER THREE

I BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

“The Church, a communion living in the faith of the apostles which she transmits, is the place where we know the Holy Spirit:

–in the Scriptures he inspired;

–in the Tradition, to which the Church Fathers are always timely witnesses;

–in the Church’s Magisterium, which he assists;

–in the sacramental liturgy, through its words and symbols, in which the Holy Spirit puts us into communion with Christ;

–in prayer, wherein he intercedes for us; –in the charisms and ministries by which the Church is built up;

–in the signs of apostolic and missionary life;

–in the witness of saints through whom he manifests his holiness and continues the work of salvation.” (Para 688)

Titles of the Holy Spirit

“When he proclaims and promises the coming of the Holy Spirit, Jesus calls him the “Paraclete,” literally, “he who is called to one’s side,” ad-vocatus. “Paraclete” is commonly translated by “consoler” and Jesus is the first “consoler. The Lord also called the Holy Spirit “the Spirit of  truth.” (Para 692)

“Rejoice, you who are full of grace”

“Mary, the all-holy ever-virgin Mother of God, is the Masterwork of the mission of the Son and the Spirit in the fullness of time. For the first time in the plan of salvation and because his Spirit had prepared her, the Father found a dwelling place where his Son and his Spirit could dwell among men. In this sense the Church’s Tradition  has often read the the most beautiful texts on wisdom in relation to Mary. Mary is acclaimed and represented in the liturgy as  the “Seat of Wisdom.” In her, the “wonders of God” that the Spirit was to fulfill in Christ and the Church began to be manifested: (Para 721)

“The Holy Spirit prepared Mary by his grace. It was fitting that the mother of him  in whom “the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily” should herself be “full of grace.” She was, by sheer grace, conceived without sin as the most humble of creatures, the most capable of welcoming the inexpressible gift of the Almighty. It was quite correct for the angel Gabriel to greet her as the “Daughter of Zion.” : “Rejoice.” “In Mary, the Holy Spirit manifests the Son of the Father , now become the Son of the Virgin. She is the burning bush of the definitive theophany. Filled with the Holy Spirit she makes the Word visible in the humility of his flesh. It is to the poor and the first representatives of the gentiles that she makes him known.” (Para 724)

“Finally through Mary, the Holy Spirit begins to bring men, the objects of God’s merciful love, into communion with Christ. And the humble are always the first to accept him: shepherds, magi, Simeon and Anna, the bride and groom at Cana, and the first disciples. (Para 725)

“At the end of this mission of the Spirit, Mary became the Woman, the new Eve (“mother of the living”), the mother of the “whole Christ.” As such, she was present with the Twelve, who “with one accord devoted themselves to prayer,” at the dawn of the “end time” which the Spirit was to inaugurate on the morning of Pentecost with the manifestation of the Church.” (Para 726)

Christ Jesus

Jesus does not reveal the Holy Spirit fully, until he himself has been glorified through his Death and Resurrection. Nevertheless, little by little he alludes to him even in his teaching of the multitudes, as when he reveals that his own flesh will be food for the life of the world.” (Para 728)

“Only when the hour has arrived for his glorification does Jesus promise the coming of the Holy Spirit, since his Death and Resurrection will fulfill the promise made to the fathers. The Spirit of truth, the other Paraclete, will be given by the Father in answer to Jesus’ prayer; he will be sent by the Father in Jesus’ name; and Jesus will send him from the Father’s side, since he comes from the Father. The Holy Spirit will come and we shall know him; he will be with us forever; he will remain with us. The Spirit will teach us everything, remind us all that Christ said to us and bear witness to him. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth and will glorify Christ. He will prove the world wrong about sin, righteousness, and judgment.” (Para 729)

A thought for you to ponder:

As you have seen from reading the paragraph above, the CCC speaks the truth about the Holy Spirit by quoting Scripture that declares the Holy Spirit was sent and He will be with us forever. Then why do they promote Marian Apparitions in which Mary declares that she will be with us always, giving her the attributes of deity?

Below are two more examples of message given by Marian apparitions. (Lord willing, I will share more messages with you in an upcoming post).

Would the Virgin Mary, who is revealed to us in Scripture as a humble woman who loved and trusted God, give unbiblical messages such as these if it truly was her who appeared at these places?

“I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved.” (Message from Our Lady  of Akita Japan – Message received full approval by the Catholic Church).

“My daughter, in this time I am the ark for all your brethren. I am the Ark of peace. I am the Ark of Salvation. The Ark where my children must enter if they wish to live in the kingdom of God.” (Message from Our Lady of San Nicolas – Message approved by Catholic Bishops).

capture-fatima-quote-of-message-said-to-have-been-given-by-the-virgin-mary-at-fatima-does-not-line-up-with-scripture

Let’s continue:

“The Spirit prepares men and goes out to them with his grace, in order to draw them to Christ. The Spirit manifests the risen Lord to them, recalls his word to them and opens their minds to the understanding of his Death and Resurrection. He makes present the mystery of Christ, supremely in the Eucharist, in order to reconcile them, to bring them into communion with God, that they may “bear much fruit.” (Para 737)

“Thus the Church’s mission is not an addition to that of Christ and the Holy Spirit, but is its sacrament: in her whole being and in all her members, the Church is sent to announce, bear witness, make present, and spread the mystery of the communion of the Holy Trinity (the topic of the next article):”

“All of us who have received one and the same Spirit, that is, the Holy Spirit, are in a sense blended together with one another and with God. For if Christ, together with the Father’s and his own Spirit, comes to dwell in each of us, though we are  many, still the Spirit is one and undivided. He binds together the spirits of each and every one of us,…and makes all appear as one in him. For just as the power of Christ’s sacred flesh unites those in whom it dwells into one body, I think that in the same way the one and undivided Spirit of God who dwells in all, leads all into spiritual unity.” (Para 738)

“Through the Church’s sacraments, Christ communicates his Holy and sanctifying Spirit to the members of his Body. (This will be the topic of Part Two of the Catechism.)” (Para 739)

ARTICLE 9

“I BELIEVE IN THE HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH”

“In Christian usage, the word “church” designates the liturgical assembly, but also the local community or the whole universal community of believers. These three meanings are inseparable. “The Church” is the People that God gathers in the whole world. She exists in local communities and is made real as a liturgical, above all a Eucharistic, assembly. She draws her life from the word and the Body of Christ and so herself becomes Christ’s Body.”

II. THE CHURCH’S ORIGIN, FOUNDATION, AND MISSION

“We begin our investigation of the Church’s mystery by meditating on her origin in the Holy Trinity’s plan and her progressive realization in history.”

The Church –foreshadowed from the world’s beginning

“The Church is  the goal of all things, and God permitted such painful upheavals as the angels’ fall and man’s sin only as occasions and means for displaying all the power of his arm and the whole measure of the love he wanted to give the world: Just as God’s will is creation and it is called “the world,” so his intention is the salvation of men, and it is called “the Church.” (Para 760)

The Church–prepared for in the Old Covenant

“The gathering together of the People of God began at the moment when sin  destroyed the communion of men with God, and that of men among themselves. The gathering together of the Church is, as it were, God’s reaction to the chaos provoked by sin. (Para 761)

The Church–instituted by Christ Jesus

“It was the Son’s task to accomplish the Father’s plan of salvation in the fullness of time. Its accomplishment was the reason for his being sent. “The Lord Jesus inaugurated his Church by preaching the Good News, that is, the coming of the Reign of God, promised over the ages in the scriptures.” To fulfill the Father’s will Christ ushered in the Kingdom of heaven on earth. The Church “is the Reign of Christ already present in mystery.” (Para 763)

“The Church is born primarily of Christ’s total self-giving for our salvation, anticipated in the instruction of the Eucharist and fulfilled on the cross. “The origin and growth of the Church are symbolized by the blood and water which flowed from the open side of the crucified Jesus.” “For it was from the side of Christ as he slept the sleep of death upon the cross that there came forth the ‘wondrous sacrament of the whole Church.” As Eve was formed from the sleeping Adam’s side, so the Church was born from the pierced heart of Christ hanging dead on the cross.” (Para 766)

III. THE MYSTERY OF THE CHURCH

“The Church is in history, but at the same time she transcends it. It is only “with the eyes of faith” that one can see her in her visible reality and at the same time in her spiritual reality as bearer of divine life.” (Para 770)

The Church–both visible and spiritual

“The one mediator, Christ, established and ever sustains here on earth his holy Church, the community of faith, hope, and charity, as a visible organization through which he communicates truth and grace to all men.” (Para 771)

The Church–mystery of men’s union with God

“It is in the Church that Christ fulfills and reveals his own mystery as the purpose of God’s plan: “to unite all things in him.” St. Paul calls the nuptial union of Christ and the Church “a great mystery.” Because she is united to Christ as to her bridegroom, she becomes a mystery in her turn. Contemplating this mystery in her, Paul exclaims: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:20) (Para 772)

“In the Church this communion of men with God, in the “love [that] never ends,” is the purpose which governs everything in her that is a sacramental  means, tied to this passing world. “[The Church’s] structure is totally ordered to the holiness of Christ’s members. And holiness is measured according  to the ‘great mystery’ in which the Bride responds with the gift of love to the gift of the Bridegroom.” Mary goes before us all in the holiness that is the Church’s mystery as the “bride without spot or wrinkle.” This is why the “Marian” dimension of the Church precedes the Petrine.” (Para 773)

The universal Sacrament of Salvation “The Greek word mysterion was translated in Latin by two terms mysterium and sacramentum. In later  usage the term sacramentum emphasizes the visible sign of the hidden reality of salvation which was indicated by the term mysterium. In this sense Christ himself is the mystery of salvation: “For there is no other mystery of God, except Christ.” The saving work of his holy and sanctifying humanity is the sacrament of salvation, which is revealed and active in the Church’s sacraments (which the Eastern Churches also call “the holy mysteries”). The seven sacraments are the signs and instruments by which the Holy Spirit spreads the grace of Christ the head throughout the Church which is his Body. The Church, then, both contains and communicates the invisible grace she signifies. It is in this analogical sense, that the Church is called a “sacrament.” (Para 774)

“The Church, in Christ, is like a sacrament–a sign and instrument, that is, of communion with God and of unity among all men.” The Church’s first purpose is to be the sacrament of the inner union of men with God. Because men’s communion with one another is rooted in that union with God, the Church is also the sacrament of the unity of the human race. In her, this unity is already begun, since she gathers men “from every nation, from all tribes and people and tongues”; at the same time, the Church is the “sign and instrument” of the full realization of the unity yet to come.” (Para 775)

“As sacrament, the Church is Christ’s instrument. “She is taken up by him also as the instrument for the salvation of all,” “the universal sacrament of salvation,” by which Christ is “at once manifesting and actualizing the mystery of God’s love for men.” The Church “is the visible plan of God’s love for humanity,” because God desires “that the whole human race may become one People of God, form one Body of Christ, and be built up into one temple of the Holy Spirit.”  (Para 776)

“The Church is both the means and the goal of God’s plan: prefigured in salvation, prepared for in the Old Covenant, founded by the words and actions of Jesus Christ, fulfilled by his redeeming cross and his Resurrection, the Church has been manifested as the mystery of salvation by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. She will be perfected in the glory of heaven as the assembly of all the redeemed of the earth. (cf. Rev.4:4).”(Para 778)

“She is one, yet formed of two components, human and divine. That is her mystery, which only faith can accept.”(Para 779)

“The Church in this world is the sacrament of salvation, the sign and the instrument of the communion of God and men.” (Para 780)

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“For the Scripture says, “You will be a priest forever, in the priestly order of Melchizedek.” The old rule, then, is set aside, because it was weak and useless. For the law of Moses could not make anything perfect. And now a better hope has been brought in, through which we come near to God. In addition, there is also God’s vow. There was no such vow when the others were made priests. But Jesus became a priest by means of a vow, when God said to him, “The Lord has made a vow, and will not change his mind: ‘You will be a priest forever.’ ”  This difference, then, makes Jesus the guarantee also of a better covenant. There is another difference: those other priests were many because they died and could not continue their work. But Jesus lives on forever, and his work as priest does not pass on to someone else. And so he is able, now and always, to save those who come to God through him, because he lives forever to plead with God for them.” (Hebrews 7:17-25) Sacred Heart League Catholic New Testament

“First he said, “You neither want nor are you pleased with sacrifices and offerings, or with animals burned on the altar and the sacrifices to take away sins.” He said this even though all these sacrifices are offered according to the Law. Then he said, “Here I am, God, to do your what you want me to do.” So God does away with all the old sacrifices and puts the sacrifice of Christ in their place. Because Jesus Christ did what God wanted him to do, we are all made clean from sin by the offering that he made of his own body, once and for all. First he says, “This is the covenant that I will make with them in the days to come, says the Lord: I will put my law in their hearts, and write them on their minds .” And then he says, “I will not remember their sins and wicked deeds any longer.” So when these have been forgiven, an offering to take away sins is no longer needed.” (Hebrews 10:8-18) SHLCNT

“You call him Father, when you pray to God, who judges all men , by the same standard, according to what each one has done; so then, spend the rest of your lives here on earth in reverence for him. For you know what was paid to set you free from the worthless manner of life you received from your ancestors. It was not something that loses its value, such as silver or gold; you were set free by the costly sacrifice of Christ, who was like a lamb without defect or spot. He had been chosen by God before the creation of the world, and was revealed in these last days for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from death and gave him glory; and so your faith and hope are fixed on God.” (1 Peter 1:17-21) (SHLCNT)

“For Christ himself died for you; once and for all he died for sins, a good man for bad men, in order to lead you to God.” (1 Peter 3:18) (SHLCNT)

“As soon as night came, the brothers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. When they arrived, they to the Jewish synagogue. The people there were more open-minded than the people in Thessalonica. They listened to the message with great eagerness, and every day they studied the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was really true.” (Acts 17:10,11) (SHLCNT)

For you gladly tolerate anyone who comes to you and preaches a different Jesus, not the one we preached; and you accept a spirit and a gospel completely different from the Spirit and the gospel you received from us!” “I will go on doing what I am doing now, in order to keep those other “apostles” from having any reason for boasting and saying that they work in the same way that we do. Those men are not true apostles–they are false apostles, who lie about their work and change themselves to look like real apostles of Christ. Well, no wonder! Even Satan can change himself to look like an angel of light! So it is no great thing if his servants change themselves to look like servants of right. In the end they will get exactly what they deserve for the things they do.” (2 Corinthians 11:12-15) (SHLCNT)

“I write you this, my children, so that you will not sin; but if anyone does sin, we have Jesus Christ, the righteous, who pleads for us with the Father. And Christ himself is the means by which our sins are forgiven, and not our sins only, but also the sins of all men.” (1 John 2:1,2) (SHLCNT)

“False prophets appeared in the past among the people, and in the same way false teachers will appear among you. They will bring in destructive, untrue doctrines, and deny the Master who redeemed them, and so bring upon themselves sudden destruction. Even so, many will follow their immoral ways; and, because of what they do, people will speak evil of the Way of truth. In their greed these false teachers will make a profit out of telling you made-up stories. For a long time now their Judge has been ready, and their Destroyer has been wide awake!” (2 Peter 2:1-3) (SHLCNT)

“We know that we belong to God even though the whole world is under the rule of the Evil One. We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we know the true God. Our lives are in the true God–in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and this is eternal life. My children, keep yourselves safe from false gods!” (1 John 5:19-21) (SHLCNT)

Capture Test the spirits 1 John 4 1

Have you unknowingly been lured into New Age mystical practices by teachers claiming that certain “new ways to pray” will bring you closer to God? Have you signed up for classes in Spiritual Formation? Have you been involved in Christian Yoga, Centering Prayer, Contemplative Prayer, or Lectio Divina? Well, this series of posts in the new Category of posts that I have entitled, ‘MYSTICISM MONDAYS,‘ will attempt to not only peel back the layers of the many forms of spiritual deception that have been entering the church in order to reveal them to you as being lies of the enemy of our souls, but also the intention of these posts are to present you with the truth of God’s Word in order to expose the dangers of these practices.

Lord willing, at least once a month on a Monday, I will be sharing teachings with you from Christian experts on the subject, some of whom have even been personally involved with these dangerous practices. All of these teachings that I will be presenting to you will focus on many Scriptures; those who speak on these topics will not just be talking about these practices, because it’s only the truth of God’s Word that will expose the dangers of these practices and set a deceived person free.

Lord willing, when time allows, I will be writing many posts in the future zeroing in on specific Christian programming and Christian teachers who are promoting these deceptive practices, but since my time is getting rather limited these days because of other important responsibilities that I have, I will oftentimes simply be sharing a video with you.

When time allows, I truly hope and pray that you will take the time to listen to these messages and read the upcoming posts on this important topic so that you can be aware of these false teachings that are deceiving many Christians –possibly even you.

Please be sure that you test the teachings of all those whom you listen to against Scripture as God’s Word shows us that we are to do (Acts 17:11) so that you will never be deceived.

Now for today’s Mysticism Monday:

Below you will find a Playlist of the presentations that speakers John Lane, Gary Kah, Warren B Smith, Roger Oakland, gave at ‘A WAKE UP CALL FOR THE LAST DAYS CHURCH CONFERENCE’ which took place at the at the end of October 2015 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. When time allows, I hope you will consider watching these very sobering presentations concerning what is happening in our world today, and how we as Christians should respond. Considering subscribing to their YouTube Channel to show your support and to keep up with the new videos that they post.

Here are just a few of the many things that you will learn if you listen to these presentations:

1) How Pope Francis is involved in ushering in the New World Order

2) How a plan is now forming for income redistribution in order to solve the problems of the world

3) How there are many spiritually deceptive attempts being made today — such as Oprah Winfrey’s recent miniseries BELIEF — which are presenting connectivity and oneness to everyone in order to deceive many into accepting this One World Religion that is forming right before our eyes

4) How the goal of many of the spiritual practices that are being presented to Christians as ways to connect to God on a deeper lever, are meant to cause Christians to “awaken to the God within,” and cause them to believe that “you don’t need a Savior; you save yourself,” which will eliminate Jesus Christ and the need for a Savior! The goal of those who are involved with creating this One World Religion is for all to believe that God is in everyone and everything. Then, and only then will they be able to bring about the oneness that those in this New Age/New Spirituality movement are seeking to achieve!

5) How the extremely popular Jesus Calling Devotional is one of the many ways in which Christians are being deceived today

6) How because of  the fact that we live in a society where many people are following men, their methods, and their movements, rather than following Jesus and His Word, we’re being set up for an end times Bible apostasy.

In Gary Kah’s first presentation he mentioned Global Oneness Day which just took place on October 24th.  In part, Gary had this to say:

“…Global Oneness Day. This massive worldwide celebration intends to usher in a new age of world unity through the realization of oneness, which, by their definition means, the deity of humanity and the interdependence of the universe.”

“Christians are rapidly losing their discernment, being overwhelmed by the media’s barrage of support for this treaty (Climate Change Treaty) and their church leaders endorsement of the same.”

Here is just one of many posts that I found on Facebook about Global Oneness Day:

Capture Global Oneness Day(SOURCE)

Here’s a rather disturbing picture that I just found on the Facebook page of Global Oneness Day in which the acronym PEACE is used to describe their idea of peace. As you can see in the very small print in the lower right hand corner of the picture below, this is actually an excerpt from Neale Donald Walsch’s book, The New Revelations: A Conversation With God

Capture P E A C E - Excerpt from The New Revelation A Conversation with God - by Neale Donald Walsch

Here’s some information on Neale Donald Walsch written by Warren B Smith:

NEALE DONALD WALSCH’S FIVE POINT PEACE PLAN

IF NEALE DONALD WALSCH (CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD) AND THE NEW AGERS ARE RIGHT, THEN HITLER WILL BE IN HEAVEN

Will you be one of the few who will stand against error and stand for Biblical truth no matter what the cost? Though these presentations are filled with some disturbing information in order to alert and awaken the slumbering church concerning what is taking place in our world today so that we as Christians will not be deceived, these speakers all share encouragement from the Scriptures to give us hope and to motivate Christians to take a stand for Jesus Christ and for Biblical truth in these spiritually dark days.

In the final video, Pastor Jon Lane ends the conference with a very encouraging message to Christians concerning the glorious message of the cross and how the church needs to repent of how it has perverted the gospel in many instances today.

And now, here are the presentations from A WAKE UP CALL FOR THE LAST DAYS CHURCH CONFERENCE. I urge you to please watch this when time allows, and, as always, please be sure to test everything in light of Scripture. (Acts 17:11)

RELATED SCRIPTURES

“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.” (Matthew 24:3,4)

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” (1 Timothy 4:1)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:6-9)

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.” (2 Peter 2:1)

“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” (2 Corinthians 4:1-5)

“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.” (Matthew 7: 13-15)

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men. after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” (Colossians 2:8)

“Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you.” (Jude 1-4a)

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.” (Romans 1:16)

“Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord we try to persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:11-20)

“Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:26-31)

Capture Church's greatest mistakes occur when people honor what leader says without testing against Scripture - picThis poem comes with many warnings intended to cause Christians — and everyone — to think very carefully about what you choose to believe and accept as truth. It is actually a prelude to a post that — Lord willing — I will be writing later on this year in which I will be exposing certain false teachings that have been taught by some very prominent pastors and Bible teachers.

In this upcoming post you will be presented with very detailed information that will bring you to a point of having to make a choice. Will you choose to believe God’s Word that will clearly reveal the truth on the certain issues I will be addressing? Or will you continue to place your trust in the man (or woman) who is teaching things that are contrary to the unchanging truth of God’s Word? The choice will be completely yours, but the choice that you make may come with eternal consequences. Heaven or hell. There are only two places to choose from concerning where you will spend eternity.

In whom have you place your trust? Is it in God and His Word alone? Or, without even realizing it, have some of you placed your complete trust in the teachings and words of certain men or women in ministry that you highly respect, and you see no reason to even consider the possibility that they may be in error, and therefore you don’t see the need to even search the Scriptures to see if the things they say are true or not? If you answered yes to that final very long question, then you are one of many who could easily be deceived by the teachings of men.

Capture Stay Alert Satan roaring lion picAll of us have probably been deceived at one point in time in some way, but in order to avoid being deceived we must stay alert and never forget the many warnings in Scripture concerning false teachers. We must be certain to test the words of every pastor and teacher we listen to, as God’s Word warns us to do. (Acts 17:11) (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

Capture Satan angel of light pic 2Satan, the great deceiver, comes as an angel of light. Some Christians have lost sight of the fact that God’s Word warns us in that same passage of Scripture that “his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness” and therefore have failed to stay alert to the fact that “even from our own number, men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.” (Acts 20:30)

It’s time for us as Christians to be alert and sober minded. Biblical truth is being compromised by many Christian leaders today, and oftentimes it is sacrificed for the sake of unity. Many pastors have lost sight of their mission to teach God’s Word to believers and to equip them so they can discern truth from error. Instead they are seeking to build their own kingdoms based on their own vision casting ideas, and therefore they are building on a foundation of sinking sand instead of on Jesus Christ, the solid Rock.

I am one of many Christians who have been deceived and disappointed by Christian leaders in whom I highly respected and placed my trust in. However, when God opened my eyes to see the truth, I finally realized that we are to be followers of Jesus Christ alone, and believe in His Word alone, regardless of how highly respected a pastor or teacher may be.

By refusing to test the teachings of every pastor and teacher against the truth of God’s Word, we as Christians are elevating them to the same level as God because we are acting as if the words of these men (or women) are infallible. What if these teachers are wrong? What if they mislead you because you are failing to test their words against God’s Word? What if you’re placing your eternal destiny on the line by believing their word over God’s Word?

I wrote the following poem hoping that God will use it in some way to cause you to carefully consider the many warnings in Scripture concerning false teachers and to take these warnings seriously! Please do not place your trust in any man! Test their every teaching against the truth of God’s Word to see if what they say lines up with the truth of God’s Word. Place your trust in Jesus Christ alone and in the truth of His Word alone so that you will never be led astray!

Thank you for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my poems and posts.

God Bless You

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when  men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 3:16,17-4:1-4)

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Capture Truth Lies picWHAT IF

What if it turns out that what you were taught and firmly believe to be

true, simply is not true

What if the intended important meaning in a passage of Scripture is

obscured by what is taught instead to you

What if the pastor or teacher in whom you place all your trust, teaches,

at times, from human reasoning, instead of from the truth of God’s

Word

What if you continue to reject the many warnings concerning these

teachers, warnings that you presently hear and so often have heard

What if you fail to test the words of these teachers against God’s Word,

truth that God has promised to preserve beyond the end of days

If it’s because you think so highly of them and believe they could never

err, then you are giving men undue  praise

Are you being taught by the Spirit of God, or are your thoughts under

man’s control

What if you are led to believe a lie that will cost you your very soul

Do you think that you can blame these teachers on the day you stand

before the Lord

Your refusal to test their teachings may come with eternal consequences

that you can’t afford

I pray that, with reverent fear, you will seek God in His Word for the

truth; ask Him to give you eyes to see

His truth that will set you free to rejoice, now, and throughout eternity

Capture OUTCRY - Hillsong United, Jesus Culture, Kari Jobe, Passion, Lauren DaigleSOURCE

While I was reading what my friends on Facebook had posted one day, Facebook generated some things that I might be interested in reading based on some other articles that I had been reading previously on the Internet, and the above picture that I ‘quick captured‘ for you was one of those things. Seeing Jesus Culture especially caught my attention.

I know that many Christians may have been blessed by the songs of Hillsong United, and Jesus Culture, as well as others appearing at this event, but I wanted to share some important information with you before you make your decision to purchase your tickets if this is an event that you are really interested in attending. All I ask is that you would please pray for discernment, watch the videos below, and then truly seek God concerning your decision to go or not. I pray that you will base your decision upon pleasing God and not make your decision based upon your own desires and what your friends may choose to do. I will be praying that God will open the eyes of many who will choose to watch the following videos so that you will be able to see the truth not only by testing things that you will learn based upon the information you will discover in the videos, but also, and of utmost importance, by testing everything against the truth of God’s Word. The focus of this post will only be on Hillsong United and Jesus Culture.

Let’s start with Hillsong United:

Hillsong United originally started out as part of Hillsong Church’s youth ministry in 1998. Brian Houston is the pastor of Hillsong Church. Recently many became extremely concerned when he announced in one of his messages:

“The Muslim and you, we actually serve the same God.”

Review of Brian Houston’s sermon based on 2 Corinthians 7 that he preached at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church:

Here’s a report from ‘A Current Affair’ that includes an interview with a former long time member of Hillsong Church. I am fully aware of  the fact that the media cannot always be trusted, especially when it comes to reporting on anything related to Christianity, but they share a lot of documented evidence in this report about Hillsong Church that you need to be aware of:

More concerns about Brian Houston:

Now let’s move on to Jesus Culture:

Jesus Culture started out as a youth outreach ministry at Bethel Church in Redding, California. This is Bill Johnson, the pastor of Bethel Church. In the following video this is some of what you will hear him say:

“I refuse to create a theology that allows for sickness.”

“Did you know that Jesus was born again?” He had to be. He became sin.”

“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

In the footnotes in my Bible concerning Jesus ‘becoming sin for us,‘ it says, “Or be a sin offering.” Jesus did not become sin. He bore our sins upon Himself, but He did not literally become sin as Bill Johnson teaches, along with those in the Word of Faith movement such as Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Benny Hinn, Fred Price, Joyce Meyers, etc.  You can read a very good article exposing this false teaching from Let Us Reason Ministries, HERE. Also, consider watching the Playlist that I added below, entitled ‘Christianity in Crisis‘ in which Hank Hanegraaff has actual recordings of many of the Word of Faith teachers and their blasphemous teachings.

Please pray for discernment, and also please take a moment to read these Bible verses before you watch the following videos:

“Then the man brought me to the gate facing east, and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with His glory. The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when He came to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown. The glory of the LORD entered the temple through the gate facing east. Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple.” (Ezekiel 43:1-5)

In the following video you will see the glory cloud that allegedly appeared at Bethel Church. As you watch this video, keep the Scriptures above in mind, focusing on the reverent reaction exhibited by  Ezekiel as He saw the glory of the LORD filling the temple. Then compare Ezekiel’s reaction to how the people reacted as they saw this supposed glory cloud.

This is some of what you will hear Bill Johnson say concerning the glory cloud. Test what he says in light of Scripture:

“The church has been gathering together for decades around a sermon. Israel camped around the presence.” And we’ve known that there are some dramatic shifts that are going to take place in how we do life, and how we do church. The presence of God is the greatest gift we have.”

“And so what’s happening tonight, is the church is camping around the Presence.”

“But finally the main thing has become the main thing.”

In the following video you will hear the personal testimony of  M’Kayla Kelly who blogs at M’Kayla’s Korner:

Pictured in the video below, is Jenn Johnson, worship leader and song writer for Bethel Music. Both she and her husband are Senior Worship Pastors at Bethel Church. Beginning at the 2:23 minute mark, among the many irreverent and blasphemous things you will hear her say is:

“God to me, Jesus to me, and the Holy Spirit to me, is like the genie from Aladdin.”

“I don’t care. That’s who He is to me. And He’s funny. And He’s sneaky. He’s silly. He’s wonderful. He’s like the wind. He’s all around.”

The most serious concern that many have in regards to Jesus Culture, (and other movements such as International House of Prayer (IHOP), Joel’s Army, and The Call, to name a few), is that their focus is on ushering in a great end time ‘revival’  and ‘raising up a generation’ that will ‘change the world.‘ This is the terminology that is used by those who embrace the teachings of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and Dominionism. Their beliefs focus on seeking to get Christians in positions of power  in schools, government, etc., to transform the world in order to usher in the return of Jesus Christ.

I first learned about the New Apostolic Reformation and Dominionism in 2008 after hearing  about Todd Bentley and a ‘revival’ in Lakeland, Florida. Every time I hear the word revival I shudder, because back in 1997 I had to leave an Assembly of God church after 16 years due to the fact that my pastor went to Brownsville, Florida with the intention of bringing the Pensacola revival (with all of its unbiblical manifestations) back to our church! The pastor rejected all of the information and Scriptures that I shared with him, and I was told to leave if I didn’t agree with the direction the church was going in, so I left. However, I learned a lot from that experience. Mainly, I learned to treasure God’s Word more than ever before, because I realized just how accurate God’s Word is to reveal the spiritual deception that is taking place in the name of ‘Christianity,’ and how true it is that even from our own number men will arise and distort the truth. (Luke 21:8, 1 Timothy 4:1, Acts 20:26-31)

Here’s Pastor Chris Quintana giving a very in depth teaching on Dominionism:

‘PRAYER ROOM’ AT BETHEL CHURCH IN REDDING CA

CHRISTIAN? OR PAGAN? YOU DECIDE.

Here is what’s taking place in the name of ‘Christianity’ at IHOP; International House of Prayer:

This is Rick Joyner’s Morningstar Church where this tribal type of ‘drumming’ is promoted resulting in disorder and madness:

Sadly, because many Christians are failing to read their Bibles and are not testing things in light of Scripture, they are embracing everything that is being presented to them by many Christian leaders today without questioning it, and therefore chaos is now entering many churches and leading hundreds  — and probably even thousands — of Christians astray!

New Age drumming. Not much difference, is there?

Below is one of the promotional video for these OUTCRY events. Just listening to what is said in this video should make one realize that these events are about more than just playing worship music and gathering together to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The church, (referred to as the woman), is described as “a movement in progress.

“Two thousands years ago A movement so significant that the Bible calls it His bride.”

“This is the dawn of an awakening. These are the lights and sounds of a movement in progress.”

Here is some information that you need to be aware of so that you will not be deceived by those who focus their teachings on the ‘Bride.’

IN CONCLUSION

Now that you’re aware of all of this information concerning Hillsong United, Brian Houston, and Hillsong Church, as well as Jesus Culture, Bill Johnson, and Bethel Church, and if you are truly a follower of Jesus Christ, and desire to stand for Biblical truth, I present this question to you to prayerfully ponder:

Knowing one day that you will stand before a completely Holy God, can you now, in good conscience, still consider going to any of these OUTCRY events?

By what we are witnessing taking place in our world today, it is clear that many are attempting to destroy Biblical Christianity. Everything that God created to reflect His glory to an unbelieving world — such as man, woman, marriage, the family — and even the church —  is slowly, but steadily being changed to reflect man’s corrupt, sinful desires.

Mankind, for the most part, is continuing to reject God’s truth. Therefore, God is beginning to turn them over to the sinful desires of their hearts. (Romans 1:18-32)

Our world is rapidly growing darker spiritually, as well, and it seems as if it is being prepared for the coming of the anti-Christ. The line between paganism and Christianity is becoming blurred, and in the name of ‘unity,’  and because many prominent Christian leaders are promoting having ‘mystical experiences with God’ instead of teaching the Word of God, these unbiblical New Age/New Spirituality practices are now entering the church through Spiritual Formation classes, and through many other ways, as well, and are deceiving thousands of Christians! I pray that you will not be one of them.

I urge you to please constantly pray for discernment, test everything in light of Scripture, and strive to honor God in all that you do.

Examine your heart. Are you truly a follower of Jesus Christ? Have you turned from sin with deep sorrow in your heart for the things you have done that now fill you with shame and regret? Have you placed your complete trust in what Jesus did when He took upon Himself the full wrath of God intended for you and me because of our sins? Have you received His love and forgiveness by placing your trust in the shed blood of Jesus that cleanses us from a guilty conscience so that we may freely serve Him? Do you love to read and study God’s Word? Do you share the good news of the gospel with those who are still in bondage to sin?

Today the focus of many preachers and teachers is becoming more and more about experiencing the presence of God, and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word and sharing the good news of the gospel no longer seems to be of great important. Are you among the many who have been deceived into seeking to have mystical experiences with God because of what you have been hearing from certain pastors and teachers and popular speakers? Or, is it possible that you are one of many today who are attending a church, but have never even heard anyone preach the gospel to you, and you aren’t even aware of the fact that you are a sinner in need of a Savior, as we all are? May I suggest to you to begin reading His Word and pray and ask God to reveal His truth to you. You will come to know Him in a very real way by reading His Word. These mystical practices may seem exciting, but they will lead you into the dark world of the occult and into spiritual deception and bondage.

If you still decide to go to this OUTCRY event after reading all the articles and watching all the videos that I posted for you, I leave you with these final words of warning:

Pray for discernment and listen very carefully especially to what the singers of Jesus Culture and Hillsong  will say to you during their performances/times of ministry. Beware if they say anything to you about ‘becoming a part of the end time revival,‘ or if they tell you that ‘your praise will usher in the return of Jesus.’ Do not allow them to lead you into their false movements, and away from Jesus Christ and Biblical truth. Read and study God’s Word so that you will come to know it so well that you will be able to instantly recognize error as soon as you hear it so that you will never be deceived.

Do they present the gospel? If so, is it a Biblical message that focuses on what Jesus accomplished by His sinless life, and His death, burial, and resurrection?  Do they speak of sin and repentance, making those who are at these events aware of the fact that we are all sinners in need of a Savior? Do they make it clear that Jesus propitiatory sacrifice satisfied God’s wrath that He has towards mankind because of our sin? Or do they announce to the crowd that they can be part of the chosen generation to bring change to the world and to usher in the return of Jesus? Do they speak of the literal return of Jesus, or do they instead focus on experiencing the manifestations of His presence? Do they encourage you to read and study His Word, or do they instead tell you that you can hear God speak to you?

Do they speak about oneness or unity?  Beware if they address the crowd by saying something like:

‘There are people from all different faiths gathered together here worshiping God at this OUTCRY event, and division is not what God wants.’ As followers of Jesus Christ, we cannot unite with people of other religions who preach “another Jesus” or “another gospel.” (Galatians 1:6-9, 2 Corinthians 11:1-4) Unity with other faiths is not the oneness that Jesus spoke of in John Chapter 17. There can only be true unity when it is built upon Jesus Christ and Biblical truth as a solid foundation.

Do not be deceived. God speaks to us through His Word, and He has already spoken to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. There are no new revelations from God. The Canon of Scripture is closed. (Read Hebrews Chapter 1) God’s Word is living and active. (Hebrews 4:12)

Be alert! Remember that Jesus mentioned spiritual deception first when the disciples asked Him what the signs will be to show that He is about to return! (Matthew 24:3-8)

Do not allow your emotions to shut down your ability to think. Taking part in an event like this in which you are surrounded by  thousands of other people can be an exhilarating experience, so be on your guard! Music is a powerful force and can manipulate our feelings, so don’t be distracted; be discerning. If you are truly a follower of Jesus Christ and not a follower of any man (or woman), always choose to take a stand for Biblical truth –no matter what — and ‘earnestly contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.’ (Jude 3)

Jesus may be coming sooner than any of us could ever imagine. Will you be ashamed at His coming? Or will you walk in the truth and be found waiting and ready?

“It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”                   (3 John 1:3,4)

RELATED SCRIPTURES FOR YOU TO REFLECT ON

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.  In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 3:16 – 4:1-4)

“Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.” (Acts 17:11)

“Study  to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15) (KJV)

As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned.” (Galatians 1:6-9)

“Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again. Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and days with tears.”                    (Acts 20:25-31)

“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2 Corinthians 11:13,14)

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”            (Ephesians 5:11)

“Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” (1 Timothy 4:16)

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” (1 Timothy 4:1)

“Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that He appeared so that He might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin. No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen Him or known Him.” (1 John 3:4-6)

“He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth.” When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:22-25)

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and even now is already in the world.” (1 John 4:1-3)

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them.”                   (Matthew 7:13-16a)

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)

“When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!” (Hebrews 9:11-14)

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the test?” (2 Corinthians 13:5)

“What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”                               (2 Corinthians 6:16-18)

INTRODUCTION

Do you have a favorite pastor or teacher who you have listened to for years? Do you trust him or her so completely that you would never even consider the possibility that they would ever say something unbiblical? Do you presently examine the Scriptures daily to see if what is being said by the pastors and teachers you listen to is true? (Acts 17:11) How would you respond to another Christian if they told you that your favorite pastor or teacher is actually teaching something unbiblical? Would you completely reject what they had to say? Or would you listen and examine the evidence? Most importantly, would you test what they were documented as having said in light of Scripture? Or would you simply reject the evidence and the warnings given to you along with the Scriptures, and continue to believe your favorite pastor or teacher would never say or do anything wrong?

God’s Word is filled with warnings about spiritual deception and false teachers, and it is quick to point out that ‘even from our own number men would arise and distort the truth.’ (Acts 20:30) Why then do so many Christians refuse to listen to those of us who warn them about certain pastors and teachers who are presenting unbiblical messages? Have many simply become mere followers of men (and women) and their ministries instead of solely being followers of Jesus Christ?

As I began writing the following poem, I had in mind those of us who ‘earnestly contend for the faith’ (Jude 3) by lovingly trying to warn other Christians about what certain pastors and teachers have said and done, and in the process of doing so we also share Scriptures in order to expose their errors with truth, and yet as hard as we pray and try to speak the truth in love, oftentimes our warnings go unheeded, and we only end up being labeled as “haters.”

A prime example of someone referring to those of us who speak out as “haters” would be Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in North Carolina, as seen in the video below. (It’s interesting to note that as of 11:25a.m. today, it has been viewed 191,046 times with 876 ‘likes’ and 1,475 ‘dislikes.’ It looks like those who are discerning …I mean…it looks like ‘haters’ outnumber those who liked what Steven Furtick had to say).

For those of you who do not yet know who Steven Furtick is, please watch his ‘Hey Haters’ video below,  (which I must admit is a high quality video in which he did a very good job at presenting his thoughts in) and keep these questions in mind as you watch: Does his behavior and words reflect that of a godly pastor/elder as seen in Scripture? Does his words line up with Scripture? Can you imagine the apostle Paul giving the people of his time this message? Is Steven Furtick’s message Biblically sound, or is he simply trying to be hip and cool and ‘culturally relevant,’ and in doing so, is he leading many to believe things that are not true?

Just in case the above video gets taken down in the future, here’s a screenshot of Steven Furtick from the video, along with almost all of what he said:

Capture Hey Haters - Steven Furtick screenshot of video - 3

“Hey haters. I hate to break this to you, but…your day…is done. See, we’re done with the way you sling shame and blame in the face of anyone who doesn’t  say what you say, and, see what you see, read what you read, think what you think, and do what you do, how you do what you do. But it’s not about you. We’re sick and tired of your pervasive propensity to pick a fight and hide the light. Nitpicking every single pixel of God’s brilliant picture seeing only your side, in only black and white. So scared to death of different, shaking your fist in the face of change.

You’re full of opinions, but you’re low on the Spirit. ‘Cuz the Spirit is love, the Spirit is peace,  the Spirit is kindness. And the only kind of words you ever seem to speak bring death to the hearer and leave weakness in their way.

You look like a toddler. Drawing lines in the sand, talking about how you’re “defending the truth” and “taking a stand.” But for all your hating and pontificating  and stances and games…there’s no change. Fall back! It’s a new day! Cuz we’re not looking for approval from you who give no respect and never neglect the chance to complain. Are you going to criticize? Or create? Waste your time casting stones, breaking bones, belittling everyone you consider opposed? Are you going to exchange your hate, trade the pain of the same? Embrace a new way to change the world! Honor’s time has come, and a new light has dawned to still the tongue of the cynic and pierce the heart of the skeptic.  This generation is waiting to restore the hope of a nation.”

The real message of ‘Hey Haters’ in the words of Steven Furtick:

“We’ve got too much to do. Too many people to reach. Too much that God wants to do through us. Too much that we need to be known for.”

“To waste even one more nanosecond hating on other churches and pastors and being known for what we stand against.”

“That’s the real message of Hey Haters. Even if it’s ironic.”  SOURCE

Many find what Steven Furtick had to say in this video very troubing:

Some today who wear the title of ‘pastor,’ and thus the name of Christ, as well, sadly do not live up to the qualifications of an elder as presented in Scripture. Here is just one of many Scriptures to keep in mind as we continue on in this post:

“An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer is entrusted with God’s work, he must be blameless — not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.” (Titus 1:6-9)

Many of you will remember how we grieved as the controversy broke concerning two pastors who used church funds to buy their way onto the New York Times Best Sellers List; Perry Noble of NewSpring Church, as well as Mark Driscoll, former pastor of Mars Hill Church, which is now officially closed.

Mark Driscoll was accused of plagiarism, as well! You can read about that in an article entitled, On The Allegations of Plagiarism Against Mark Driscoll, which was written by Warren Throckmorton of Patheos, HERE.

Many of us also remember the following shocking video of the—> September 2013 brutal public excommunication of three elders at Harvest Bible Chapel Rolling Meadows, in which James MacDonald introduced the video of the elders speaking by saying in part:

“We believe that the Bible that the authority of the church is vested in the elders. And that when the elders speak collectively, in agreement, they speak for God to our church.“(Emphasis in red is mine).

A few months ago, James MacDonald publicly admitted that shortly after the video was played back in September 2013 he realized they were wrong for going about church discipline in that manner, and asked for forgiveness. (Here is an article on that story which was posted by Christianity Today on September 15, 2014, entitled, James MacDonald Asks Forgiveness for Unbiblical Discipline). Although it was commendable that he came forward and asked for forgiveness, can you see the danger and confusion that can come from first declaring that the elders “speak for God,” and then to admit that soon after his claim he realized they were wrong? Something is clearly wrong here! I will not judge his heart or his motive, because I have failed many a time, as well. We all have. However, we are talking about pastors who are even more accountable to God and who are supposed to be above reproach! He may have apologized, but, sadly, the damage has already been done to the reputation of these men.

The behavior of Mark Driscoll, Perry Noble, and James MacDonald — just to name a few — is totally unbecoming of men who bear the name of Christ! And meanwhile an unbelieving world is watching, and many are being given more and more good reasons to justify their mistrust of pastors, and the name of Christ is dragged through the mud again and again!

No. It’s not men like these that we hate. It’s their behavior and their attitude! It’s sorrow for the many who are being led astray, and it’s for the love of Jesus Christ and for the gospel that we cry out and write about these things in order to bring attention to what is taking place, and to stress the importance to fellow believers to be followers of Jesus Christ alone, and not to be followers of a man (or woman) and their ministry! We cry out in prayer for godly sorrow to fill the hearts of pastors who seemed to have forgotten how to seek God for His wisdom, because they think that every idea in their head comes from God, when, at times, it’s obviously only the desires of their sinful hearts. How else could you explain a ‘pastor’ being able to justify his decision to use an exorbitant amount of money from his church funds to make sure his book gets on the New York Times Best Seller’s List? Or how a ‘pastor’ who was given a t.v. studio could decide to give that t.v. studio to Trinity Broadcasting Network when they are known for their many false teachers?

How can you explain a ‘pastor’ like Perry Noble who tells those in attendance at his Christmas Eve service to “Say Yes to Jesus,” when the message they heard that night was informing them that the Ten Commandments are simply just suggestions or promises? (Churchwatch Central wrote an article entitled, ‘Prophet Perry Noble’s Credibility Under Fire,’ and you can read it HERE). And even more concerning is the fact that Perry Noble told everyone that night that ‘it was God who put it on his heart to preach that message.’ How could unbelievers who attended that night have known that they were sinners in need of a Savior if they were not informed that the Ten Commandments are the laws of God given to us to show us what sin is (Romans 3:20) and to make us realize just how incapable we are to keep the law? They never came to realize just how good the ‘good news’ of the gospel really is; that Jesus lived the perfect, sinless life that we could never live, to become the perfect sacrifice by taking upon Himself the full wrath that God intended for us because of our sins, and that He died in our place and arose for our justification! (Romans 4:25)

The sad truth is that some pastors and teachers today seemed to have lost their first love and have forgotten to seek God for His wisdom, and therefore oftentimes when they claim to speak messages from God, they are simply doing and saying what seems right in their own eyes.

For those of us who earnestly contend for the faith and expose false teachers, and are branded as ‘haters’ for doing so, we need to remember that we stand with great men of God such as the apostle Paul, who confronted those in error and called false teachers out publicly, and by name. (See Galatians 2:11-14, 1 Timothy 1:18-20, 2 Timothy 2:17,18, and 2 Timothy 4:14,15 for examples).

God’s Word makes it clear that those who choose to follow Jesus would be hated and persecuted because of Him, (2 Timothy 3:12, Matthew 5:10, Luke 6:22, John 15:18, 1 Peter 3:17, 1 Peter 4:12-14), so, as long as our intentions are right, and our motives are pure, let us press on and continue to speak the truth, but in love. Above all, let’s continue to pray that those who are in leadership positions will be held accountable for the wrong they have done, and that they would either repent or be removed from their positions for the sake of the gospel, as well as to protect more people from being led astray.

I’d now like to share some encouraging news with you that I read in an article posted by ‘discern.org,’ entitled,‘President of South Carolina Baptist Convention Calls For Perry Noble and NewSpring To Correct Problematic Positions And Statements,’ which you can read HERE.

Pride can prevent a pastor or teacher from going in front of their congregation and admitting they were wrong, but God’s Word says that “pride comes before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18) God’s Word also says that “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”(1 Peter 5:5b)

Personally I believe that many of us who are Christians and have been labeled as ‘haters,’ ‘Pharisees,’ ‘consumer Christians,’ ‘divisive,’hindering unity,’ etc., would deeply respect and extend grace to any pastor or teacher who would truly repent before God and show it publicly by humbling themselves and expressing godly sorrow and deep regret for the things they have said and done, and make things right, where necessary. I know that God would be well pleased, which is all that should matter if you live to glorify God and not self.

Thank you very much for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

“Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you.”                (Jude 1:3-4a)

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.” (Acts 20:27-31)

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven. For in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:11,12)

“The arrogant cannot stand in Your presence; you hate all who do wrong.” (Psalm 5:5)

“For he flatters himself in his own eyes too much to hate and detect his sin.” (Psalm 36:2)

“Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.” (Luke 6:26)

“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”      (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-16)

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in your name drive out demons, and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from Me, you evildoers!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them — bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.”           (2 Peter 2:1-3)

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)

“Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” (1 Timothy 4:16)

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”     (2 Timothy 2:15)

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you. wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn, and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will life you up.” (James 4:7-10)

“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trials you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.” (1 Peter 4:12-19)

“To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ’s sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers–not because you must, but because you are willing as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.  Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith…” (1 Peter 5:1-9a)

CALL ME A HATER

Call me a hater if you think you must

But in God alone will I place my trust

I will not trust in, or be led by, vision casting men

Who claim to hear from God, yet ignore their guilt of sin

Some preach in ways that contradict the very words of God

And their people are so mesmerized, that down the path of destruction do they trod

They think their favorite pastor is above doing or saying something wrong

And they blindly choose to follow, as their Pied Piper leads them with a tantalizing,

deceptive song

Yes, call me a hater, but it’s not these men I hate

It’s their craftiness and rebellious ways, and the thought of what could be their fate

I hate the fact that they don’t seem to have an all consuming love

For the gospel, and a Holy God, whom they will one day give an account to, who is

watching from above

I hate the thought of hundreds, continually being led astray

Because they fail to be Bereans, they are deceived by much of what these men will say

I hate when men distort God’s Word, and claim their message was from the Lord

Truly this is something blasphemous, and something to be abhorred

I hate that men who claim to be of God, have lost sight of what they were called to do

To be shepherds and protectors of God’s flock, to expose deception, and to teach

what’s true

Instead they are yoking with the very ones who prevent true unity

Those who teach false doctrine bring division, only the truth of God’s word can set

men free

I hate when men who say they walk with God, claim to seek God to know His perfect

will

And then announce their vision casting plan based on worldly methods and their own

desires, in which they seek to fulfill

Call me a hater, but I am a Berean through and through

I have learned to discern, through the truth of God’s Word, and I pray the same for you

Jesus said, ‘Woe to those who men speak well of,’ and ‘Blessed are those who suffer

for the sake of His name’

I’d rather be hated for speaking the truth, than to be praised by men and stand before

Jesus with regret and shame

Call me a hater, say I’m divisive, and destroying unity, but there’s one thing you can

never say

That I failed to give you warnings, please know for you I will never cease to pray
