AUTUMN

Autumn…trees displaying the beauty of golden, orange, and crimson-colored leaves, that gently swirl through the air til they land on the ground…these are the beautiful sights God allows us to see in this beautiful season.  Even though the leaves are actually dying, there is still beauty for us to behold.

For us who have made the choice to place our trust in Christ’s death as full payment for our sins, and have made the choice to turn from sin to live for Him, we made the choice to die to self and allow Christ to live through us.   His Holy Spirit  brings beauty through our transformed lives and the words He gives us to speak, so that through us He can  reveal truth and life,  to those whose hearts He has drawn to Himself.

 WINTER

Winter…long dark and dreary days, give way to days when the freshly fallen snow sparkles in the sun or moonlight, and brings joy to our hearts.  It is like a beautiful reminder from God, that even when the circumstances of life may cause us to lose hope, if our focus is on Him and we fill our minds with the truth of His Word, He will fill our hearts with joy, and renew our hope.

“I am laid low in the dust; renew my life according to Your Word.  My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to Your Word.  I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in Your Word.” (Psalm 119:25,28,147)

“For I know the plans I have for you,”  declares the LORD,  “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Seeing the beauty of fresh snow, helps us hold on to hope during this season, in the fact that spring will soon come again, and with it comes new life.

SPRING

“See!  The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.  Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come…”  (Song of Songs 2:11)

Spring…out of a seemingly dead earth, new life springs up and is a symbol of hope and new beginnings.  When Christ begins to transform us, sinful habits fall away and He renews our mind as we read His Word, and He replaces all false beliefs that once held us in bondage, with the truth of His Word.  He begins a healing in our hearts and minds, and we begin to believe what He says about us and no longer see ourselves as others have caused us to believe we were.  “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

SUMMER

Summer… brings life in full bloom, and we see the amazing beauty in all that God has created all around us.  As we walk with Christ, our relationship with Him grows through the trials we endure.   We learn that we can trust Him, when we see how faithful He is to give us His wisdom, grace and peace that brings us through what would be, overwhelming circumstances. We are then able to submit our lives more to Him, and His character begins to emerge from His Spirit within us.

Although we will never be perfect until we finally enter heaven in our new transformed bodies, we will reflect His glory, as we become more like Jesus Christ with each passing day.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:17,18)

As we spend time with Him in prayer and in His Word, we will also have His heart and passions… the desire to reveal truth to a lost and dying world, so that they too will know the truth that sets people free.

“…God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them.  And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors , as though God were making His appeal through us.  We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:19,20)

Thank you for stopping by and taking time out of your busy day to read some of my posts and poems.

God Bless You
