SCRIPTURE SUNDAY

 

UPDATE:

My apologies for not having written anything for so long, but since the death of my dear, sweet Mom in April of 2018, as well as the death of not only my dear older sister in January of 2021 but also my brother in April of this year (’22), I have come to realize that I need to focus on spending time with the remaining members of my family and sharing God’s love and truth with them more now than ever before.

I have spent hours and hours writing and researching for my blog posts, and I have no regrets in doing so. I only hope and pray that after reading them, many of you have come to realize the extreme importance of reading and studying your Bibles and testing everything in light of Scripture so that you know what the truth really is, because your eternal destiny is truly dependent upon what you believe about Jesus Christ and His “once for all” sacrifice –no matter what you may have been taught in the church that you attend.

SCRIPTURE SUNDAY – ONE PHOTO PRESENTED TO YOU WITH TRUTH FROM GOD’S WORD

Many of us know all too well how short life is. We may have lost a loved one unexpectedly thinking that we would have had many more years with them. Losing my wonderful father back in 1999, my dear, sweet Mom in April of 2018, and now my dear sister in January of 2021, has truly made me value the time that I have with the rest of my family more than I have ever valued it before! We must indeed learn to number our days and live each day as if it could very well be our last –or their last!

For those of us who have placed our faith and trust in the once for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ when He willingly died on the cross in our place for our sins to satisfy the just demands of a thrice Holy God, was buried, and gloriously arose from the dead in bodily form three days later, that means that we need to make the most of every opportunity that we have to share the love and forgiveness of God with them — and with every person in our life — whenever an opportunity presents itself for us to do so! 

For those of you who do not know about the free gift of salvation — forgiveness of sins, guilt and shame — that comes through Jesus Christ alone, I pray that you will choose to get yourself a Bible (preferably a King James Bible since so many changes have been made in modern versions that distort the truth of God’s Word), and begin reading through the Gospel of John, Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John, and wherever else the Holy Spirit may lead you to read, and pray that God will reveal His love and truth to you and He will! His offer of forgiveness is open to everyone who willingly comes to Him! Placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ will bring you true and lasting joy and peace that will carry you through any pain, sorrow, and disappointment that one could possibly face as we each walk down this road called life.

UPDATE:

I have been very busy this summer and I am still trying to find a job. When time allows, I have been doing some research for my upcoming post which will be either the third or final post in the series regarding the alleged apparitions of the virgin Mary in light of Scripture. My sincere apologies to those of you who may be checking back here from time to time to see if it has been written yet or not. Lord willing, I am hoping to have it completed by the end of August.

SCRIPTURE SUNDAY – ONE PHOTO PRESENTED TO YOU WITH TRUTH FROM GOD’S WORD

 

This is a photo that I took of one of the six Painted Lady butterflies that I had the privilege and joy of raising from their caterpillar stage! I purchased the caterpillars from Amazon and was amazed as I watched them transform into their chrysalis stage and then emerge as beautiful Painted Lady butterflies around 7 days later! I was filled with awe as I witnessed the beauty of just one of the many thousands of things that God has created to show forth His glory!

I added this particular Bible verse because it is one (of many) that shows the extreme importance of not giving in to compromise; we are to stand for the truth that is so clearly stated in Scripture about the fact that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we can receive forgiveness from sin, guilt, and shame, and have eternal life. (John 3:36). Jesus Christ is the only name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and He is the only Mediator between God and mankind. (1 Timothy 2:5) It is not being judgmental, intolerant, or unloving towards those who believe differently. Rather it is our responsibility as true Christians to warn people — lovingly, but firmly — before it’s too late! Tomorrow is promised to no one!
