He planned to send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the second Person in the Trinity, into our evil, sin-filled world, to live the sinless, perfect life that we could never live, in order to take upon Himself the sins of all mankind and become our substitute; Jesus Christ took upon Himself God’s full wrath for all of our sins and guilt. The The Book of Genesis shows us that even in the most perfect of environments man still chose to sin.
Throughout the Old Testament we see just how depraved mankind is. We read about: Murder, rebellion, incest, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, rape, deceit, thievery, malice, lies, etc., etc. However, as depraved as all of mankind was and still is, he — or she — is not so depraved as to be unable to choose to receive God’s free gift of salvation through placing our faith and trust in Jesus Christ as our Savior after hearing or reading the truly good news of the Biblical gospel, as some sadly teach in Reformed Theology and Calvinism.
The Old Testament is also extremely important because: It traces the genealogy of Jesus Christ, foreshadows and prophesies the coming of Jesus Christ, and shows God’s patience with us, as well as His love, His complete holiness, and His hatred for sin. So much more could be said, but my time these days is very limited.

Lord willing, by Wednesday evening I am hoping to finish the next post in the series in which we are comparing many teachings in the Catechism Of The Catholic Church to Scriptures in a Catholic New Testament Bible. My main hope and prayer is that God will use the truth of His Word to open the eyes of many precious Catholics so that they will see just how sufficient Jesus Christ’s “once for all” sacrifice on the cross was to pay the debt for all of our sins –in full! Thus no need for any more sacrifices (the Sacrifice of the Mass) except for sacrifices of praise to Him for all that He has done to provide complete forgiveness for sins —if we choose to come to Jesus Christ and place our trust in Him and in Him alone for our salvation; not in our good works, the Virgin Mary, the sacraments, Eucharistic adoration, or in the Catholic Church itself, for there is no hope for anyone to receive forgiveness for sins unless their complete trust is in Jesus Christ alone. (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:5)

Over the past week I have been working on PART 12 of the series in which we are comparing many of the teachings that can be found in the Catechism Of The Catholic Church to Scriptures in a Catholic New Testament Bible. Lord willing, I hope to have it finished in another week or so.It is my hope and prayer to reach many precious Catholics so that they can see the glorious good news of the Biblical gospel that can be found in their Bibles if they will only choose to read it and allow the Holy Spirit to open their eyes and minds to see the truth in God’s Word. I pray that they will see (just as I saw and many other former Catholics have seen) not only how the teachings of the Catholic church oftentimes contradicts God’s Word, but also so that they might see how their own Scriptures reveal just how much Jesus Christ — God who became man — truly accomplished for us through His sinless life, His “once for all” sacrifice on the cross that led to His death in our place for our sins, and how three days later He was gloriously raised from the dead in bodily form which shows that God indeed accepted His sacrifice as being completely sufficient to pay the debt for each and every one of our sins –in full! Precious Catholics need to see how there is no longer any need for any more sacrifices, which means that the Sacrifice of the Mass, which is offered again and again at every altar in every Catholic church around the world, is actually showing every Catholic that the Catholic church does not truly believe that Jesus Christ’s once for all sacrifice was sufficient to pay the debt for our sins in full.

The Old Testament is also extremely important because: It traces the genealogy of Jesus Christ, foreshadows and prophesies the coming of Jesus Christ, and shows God’s patience with us, as well as His love, His complete holiness, and His hatred for sin. So much more could be said, but my time these days is very limited. Now I present to you the twenty-eighth Book in God’s Holy Word –Hosea. I hope and pray that you will take some time throughout your week to (read through or) listen to another very important Book in God’s Holy Word.
Sadly, many professing Christian pastors and teachers today teach that the Old Testament is no longer important or relevant. However,Jesus often quoted from the Old Testament, and Scripture in the New Testament clearly shows us the importance of the Old Testament, as well:
“Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual meat; and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” (1 Corinthians 10:1-12)
“For whatever was written aforetime were written for our learning that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4 KJV)
All of Scripture is important:

Lord willing, by the end of this week I am hoping to finish the next post in the series in which we are comparing the teachings that can be found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church to Scriptures in a Catholic New Testament Bible. It is my prayer that God will not only show precious Catholics how their own teachings contradict the truth that can be found in His Word, but also it is my prayer that God will help Bible believing Christians see the errors in the teachings of Catholicism and fill them with a desire to pray for them and to share the good news of the Biblical gospel with them in gentleness and with respect.
Desiring for God to use all that I have been through in life, I decided to start my first blog, living4hisglory.wordpress.com, in order to write poems about some of those experiences to bring glory to God, as well as to share them with others with the hope of encouraging those of you who have been broken and shattered by life's circumstances and hurt by those who were supposed to have loved you rather than abuse you in some way.
Also, because of some pastors and teachers today who seem to be abandoning Biblical Christianity and instead seem to be either seeking to build their own empires and promoting their own agendas, and at times even leading the people in their churches into unbiblical, 'mystical practices' without some people even realizing it, I saw the importance and necessity to begin writing poems and posts in order to inform Christians, as well as to make Christians realize the extreme importance of testing what people say (who claim to speak for God) against the truth of God's Word, (Acts 17:11) so that they will not be deceived. It has never been -- nor shall it ever be -- my intention to bash any particular pastor or teacher; my sole purpose in bringing attention to false teachings is to make Christians realize that we are to be followers of Jesus Christ, and not to be followers of any man (or woman) and his (or her) ministry. I hope that you will be blessed -- as well as challenged -- by the things that I write.
