FALSE TEACHER FRIDAY – LEARN TO DISCERN – WHAT YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO SHARE OR POST ANOTHER QUOTE BY C S LEWIS

As Christians we’ve probably all done this at one point: We see a thought-provoking quote that some well known professing Christian from the past had made, and without really knowing very much about him or her we retweet or repost their quote. C S Lewis is one of those people who is often quoted by Christians, but did you ever take the time to check out all that he actually believed? It still deeply grieves me, but I am one of those people who failed to do so, and when I was very young in the faith I ended up giving my children the audio tapes of The Chronicles of Narnia (which I recently shredded, along with a few other tapes). Red flags began to rise when I first heard some of the mythological characters that were in these stories, but I tried to assure myself that they must be okay since C S Lewis is supposed to be a Christian. How wrong I was!

When I should have known better I also gave a co-worker who was considering the claims of Christianity C S Lewis’ book, Mere Christianity because it was highly recommended by a Christian co-worker as the book that I should give to him because it supposedly brought many to place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. I was going to buy him a Bible, but he told me that he already had one. Giving him that book is something that I still regret to this day!

In the past I had more free time to be able to do my own research for all of my False Teacher Friday posts, but since the following videos have some very thorough and in depth information on C S Lewis, I think this will be enough for now. With that being said, when time allows I hope you will watch these videos and read the article that I shared below so that you can become aware of the many troubling things concerning C S Lewis, such as how he embraced many of the unbiblical teachings of Catholicism like, infant baptism, devotion to the Virgin Mary, purgatory, and more. He was also very intrigued by mysticism and paganism, which becomes quite clear to anyone who takes the time to read one of his books such as ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.’ 

Here are just a few of the many alarming things that C S Lewis once said that should cause every true follower of Jesus Christ to end their reposts and retweets of his quotes once and for all:

FORMER WITCH, CAROL KORNACKI – THE DARK TRUTH ABOUT HALLOWEEN

Halloween is fast approaching. If you are a Christian who still believes that Halloween is simply a day of fun in which you dress up in costumes and go door to door with your children so that they can collect some candy, you are about to discover the dark truth about Halloween. When time allows, please consider prayerfully coming before God as you listen to former witch, Carol Kornaki, as she give an in depth explanation of the occult roots behind the reason for doing things such as, trick or treating, carving pumpkins, dressing up in costumes, and many other things. If you do, you will never be able to look at Halloween the same again!

As Christians, if we truly love God with all of our heart, we should have the desire to turn away from everything that appears to be evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:22) And when it comes to Halloween, you are about to discover that it is all evil!

“The dress up is what the Druids used to do. You dress up the children, that’s what the Druids do…they dress up and walk around in ghoulish outfits. They go from house to house requesting, “Trick or treat.” It is a mantra that is a repetitious comment that is made. What the kids are doing today when they go out dressed up, is they’re imitating the Druids…they’re taking part of  Samhain’s holiday. You can’t fix it folks…you can’t scrub it down. This is what they’re doing. Little Christian children are walking around dressed up, chanting, “Trick or treat,” partaking in the holiday of the eve of the god of the dead. There’s no getting around it.”

“Ladies and gentlemen let me tell you something about Halloween; you can’t redeem it. People, when it comes, you shouldn’t even act like it’s there. If the churches choose to make a sanctuary or a refuge so that you can come out of the activity out there, and we come into the church, it should not be referred to as a Halloween party, and the children should not be dressing up as anything not even shepherds, not even angels, because the minute you start, you take on the festival!”

The only reason that I am sharing the above Playlist of videos with you is because there are far too many Christians who are participating in this holiday when they should not be, and Carol shares a lot of information that makes it abundantly clear that we as Christians are to glorify God in all that we do, and therefore we are not to take part in anything that even has a hint of evil. And as Carol has stated in her presentation, “It [Halloween] is an evil, evil holiday!”

GOD’S WORD CONCERNING SORCERY AND WITCHCRAFT

“Do not allow a sorceress to live.  Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the LORD must be destroyed.” (Exodus 22:18,20)

“Be careful to do everything I have said to you.  Do not invoke the name of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips.” (Exodus 23:13)

WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY

Welcome to another post in the series of posts that I have entitled, Warning You With Tears Wednesdays. Lord willing, at least once a month on Wednesdays I will be writing and sharing one of these posts with you so that I can make you all aware of some important information that I come across on the Internet that you may not have heard about.Since I knew that I would soon be starting a new part-time job (which I  started in June) and that my free time would then be somewhat limited, I was trying to think of something that I could write on a regular basis that would be short and to the point (at least that was my intention). And since I am a detective-at-heart and desire to make you all aware of the importance of testing things that pastors and teachers say (and do) in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11), the idea to do these posts — as well as the name — came to my mind in November of 2014, based on Acts 20:26-31:

“For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.”

So with all of that in mind, here is what I’d like to share with you in today’s WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY:

1) It seems that false teachers are continuing to come so quickly that it’s just impossible to keep track of them all! Here’s another one that I have never heard of before, and just in case you have never heard of David Benner either, I wanted to share this article with you that was recently posted on the Lighthouse Trails Research Blog in regards to a letter they received from a concerned reader:

2) God’s Word tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 that we are to pray for all those in authority. And, as you all know, there will be a new president of the United States of America voted into office this November. Many struggle as they evaluate each candidate, not being certain who they should vote for. I am not here to endorse any candidate, or to tell you how you should vote. I will, however, share a few things with you that you need to be aware of as you pray and seek God concerning your decision. Just keep in mind that no matter who is voted into office, there will be no peace in our country — or in this world — until the Prince of Peace rules and reigns.

Many of you are aware of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and the Seven Mountain Mandate. For those of you who are not familiar with these things, here is some very important information for you:

IN CONCLUSION:

Many in our world today are completely abandoning God and doing what is right in their own eyes. They are trying to silence their consciences by attempting to eliminate all reminders of Him so that they can continue on with their pursuit to follow every evil inclination within their hearts. That same evil that once filled our hearts and controlled us before we came to the knowledge of the truth and placed our faith and trust in Jesus Christ  and in Him alone, and believed and received the good news of the gospel; that He paid the full penalty for our sins. The beauty of creation declares there is a God, and yet they deny all the evidence that surrounds them, and on that day when they stand before Him they will be without excuse. (Romans 1:18-32)

All one has to do is to take a close look at what is happening in the name of Christianity today, and you will realize that the only type of revival taking place these days is a revival of evil: New Age practices entering the church,  the preaching and teaching of the Word of God are being replaced with experienced based services that appeal to the senses, and music that was once a means of expressing our praise and honor to a thrice Holy God, is now oftentimes simply repetitive phrases and void of any Biblical truth whatsoever.

Pastors, for the most part, are no longer shepherds guarding their flocks from wolves by exposing false teachers. Instead they are welcoming them in! Many who are Christians just stand in utter disbelief as they hear their once solid Bible teaching pastor begin to distort Scripture and deceive the majority of their congregation. These people are led astray because their trust is in man instead of in Jesus Christ alone.

Those faithful to the Word of God who simply desire to express their valid concerns to those in leadership are belittled with accusations and told to leave if they don’t agree with the changes they see. Or, worse yet, those in leadership fail to recognize error because they are failing to test everything against Scripture and forgetting about the many warnings in Scripture about spiritual deception in the last days, and that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

If you are one of the few who are taking a stand for Biblical truth in these days when so many are failing to do so, may God bless you! You may feel like you are the only one, but be assured. You are not alone!

MYSTICISM MONDAY – WARNING YOU OF HOW MYSTICISM IS NOW RAPIDLY ENTERING THE CHURCH AND DECEIVING MANY CHRISTIANS TODAY

Have you unknowingly been lured into New Age mystical practices by teachers claiming that certain “new ways to pray” will bring you closer to God? Have you signed up for classes in Spiritual Formation, or has your pastor been preaching on it? Have you been involved in “Christian“ Yoga, Centering Prayer, Contemplative Prayer, or Lectio Divina? Well, this series of posts in the new Category of posts that I have entitled, ‘MYSTICISM MONDAYS,‘ will attempt to not only peel back the layers of the many forms of spiritual deception that have been entering the church in order to reveal them to you as being lies of the enemy of our souls, but also the intention of these posts are to present you with the truth of God’s Word in order to expose the spiritual dangers of these practices.

Lord willing, at least once a month on a Monday, I will be sharing teachings with you from Christian experts on the subject, some of whom have even been personally involved with these dangerous practices.

All of these teachings that I will be presenting to you will focus on many Scriptures; those who speak on these topics will not just be talking about these practices, because it’s only the truth of God’s Word that will expose the dangers of these practices and set a deceived person free.

Lord willing, when time allows, I will be writing many posts in the future zeroing in on specific Christian programming and Christian teachers who are promoting these deceptive practices, (One coming very soon –Lord willing) but since my time is getting rather limited these days because of other important responsibilities that I now have, I will oftentimes simply be sharing a video or an article with you that is filled with important information for you.

When time allows, I truly hope and pray that you will take the time to listen to these messages and read the upcoming articles and posts on these important topics so that you can be aware of these false teachings that are deceiving many Christians –possibly even you.

Please be sure that you test the teachings of all those whom you listen to against Scripture as God’s Word shows us that we are to do (Acts 17:11) so that you will never be deceived.

I hope and pray that all of you who are Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ are constantly testing what your pastors and teachers are presenting to you against the truth of God’s Word as we are shown in Scripture to do (Acts 17:11) no matter how long they have been in ministry, because many pastors and teachers are now embracing and presenting New Age mystical practices to their people through things such as yoga, as well as  though meditation practices which often times are found in Spiritual Formation classes and are referred to as Contemplative Prayer, silent prayer, Lectio Divina, Taize, etc.

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

 Mysticism in the church is one of the many ways that Satan is now using to bring about the oneness and unity that is being promoted in the world to bring about the One World Religion. Sadly, many pastors and teachers lack discernment and have now become tools in Satan’s hands to promote these mystical practices. We must keep in mind what God says in His Word:

“Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22)

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11) 

Are you a follower of  a man (or woman) and their ministry? Or are you a follower of Jesus Christ? Will you be a Berean and examine the Scriptures daily to see if what they are saying is true? Will you walk in the light and in truth and leave, if necessary, if Yoga and other mystical practices  are being promoted at your church? Or are the relationships that you have developed over the years while you have attended your church more important to you than being obedient to God and the truth presented in His Word? True followers of Jesus Christ will follow Him –no matter what the cost.

“For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.” (2 Corinthians 2:9)

 I hope and pray that you will guard yourselves and your precious children and leave your church if yoga and mystical practices are being promoted and taught at your church before you and your loved ones are led into spiritual deception!

Lord willing, in future posts I will be going into greater depth concerning the pastors who are promoting Spiritual Formation (such as Rick Warren of Saddle Back Church and Bill Hybels of Willow Creek Church), and I will also be warning you about some of the other writers and speakers who are teaching these things.

As I mentioned to you in a few previous posts, I am in the process of writing a very detailed post concerning Mysticism. Today I spent at least eight more hours working on it and it is very close to being fully completed. Lord willing, I am hoping to have it completed before the end of this week. So for today’s Mysticism Monday, in order to continue to inform you and warn you of how New Age mysticism is entering many churches today, I would like to share a video with you that was put together by a dear sister-in-Christ known as Psalm86 on YouTube.

FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE BLOG – LETTER TO THE EDITOR: BRIAN MCLAREN, JIM WALLIS, MARIANNE WILLIAMSON SPEAKING AT “PARLIAMENT OF THE WORLD RELIGIONS”

As stated in the link above, one of the speakers at this Global Interfaith Movement gathering is Marrianne Williamson. Many of you are probably not aware of who she is — unless, of course you have seen her on Oprah. If so, then you are also aware of her book A Return To Love, as well as the book that she strongly promoted on Oprah and continues to promote, called, ‘A Course in Miracles.’ This book was written by Helen Schucman, a Columbia University professor who wrote this book over a span of seven years after hearing a voice — claiming to be Jesus Christ — say to her,

“This is a Course in Miracles. Please take notes.”

Here are some of the things that this Jesus of the Course in Miracles teaches:

“God did not create the world.”

“We are all equally Christ.”

“Jesus is not the only Son of God.”

“My salvation comes from me.”

“There is no sin, no evil, and no devil, and “God is “in” everyone and everything.”

This course states:

“This is a course in mind training” and is dedicated to thought reversal.” (SOURCE – VIDEO SERIES  BELOW)

When time allows, please watch these videos to learn about the many messages from this Jesus whose words contradict God’s Word in many blasphemous ways, so that you are aware of the many spiritually deceptive teachings that are attempting to destroy Christianity:

Now maybe you understand a little better why so many Christians are warning about Sarah Young‘s book Jesus Calling, because she claims to have written her book in a very similar way. Below you will see a “quick capture” from a portion of an interview that Sarah Young did with CBN in which she said that her inspiration to write Jesus Calling was a ‘devotional’ with a similar title —God Calling. For your information, this book was written back in the 1930s by two anonymous women who simply called themselves “two listeners.” That “devotional” book was very popular in the 1980’s when I first became a Christian and it was sold at the book store of the Assembly of God Church that I once attended. Because I dabbled in the occult before I was a Christian, and attempted to contact the spirits through automatic writing, I knew very well that the book God Calling was not a Christian book! Here’s an excerpt from God Calling:

“But with my friend a very wonderful thing happened. From the first, beautiful messages were given to her FROM THE LORD HIMSELF, and every day from then these messages have never failed us. We felt all unworthy and overwhelmed by the wonder of it, and could hardly realize that we were being taught, trained and encouraged day by day BY HIM PERSONALLY,when millions of souls who are far worthier, had to be content with guidance from the Bible, sermons, their Churches, books and other sources.” (God Calling” Page 11-12 ) (Emphasis in red is mine).

Can you see the danger in reading devotionals like God Calling and Jesus Calling? They are considered to be new revelations by Jesus Christ Himself! This will lead many Christians to abandon the true Word of God — The Bible — for counterfeit words from a counterfeit Jesus!

Although Sarah Young accurately states that “the Bible is the only infallible record of God speaking,”and also gives some Biblical advise in her “cautions” below, she fails to recognize the fact that this practice mirrors the occult practice of automatic writing. She also misinterprets Psalm 46:10 as many who promote Contemplative Prayer often do. (See article under Further Reading).

As you will discover in the following article and the videos below, Sarah Young also fails to test the spirits — as well as the messages from this Jesus — in light of Scripture. This information is also for those of you who have requested Book Reviews:

Here is some very detailed information by Warren B Smith concerning the messages that Sarah Young claims to have received from Jesus which were written  down and recorded in her extremely popular Jesus Calling devotionals which have sold millions.

Warren has been a Christian for many years, but he was once deeply involved in the New Age Movement. He now writes books and speaks at many Christian Conferences so that he can warn Christians about Contemplative Prayer, Spiritual Formation, Yoga, and many other ways in which the New Age Movement has made its way into the church. Because these New Age/New Spirituality practices are cloaked in somewhat Christian terminology they are deceiving many people. That is why it is so extremely important for us as Christians to “examine the Scriptures daily to see if what is being said (and done) is true.” (Acts 17:11)

The following article is filled with the most disturbing information that I came across recently, and it  truly reveals the hardness of heart and the blindness to sin that many have today. Reading things like the following article should truly makes a Christian realize the awfulness of sin and the immense patience and mercy of God:

Please pray for God to open the eyes of those involved in the abortion industry which involves not only the brutal destruction of thousands of precious unborn babies, but also the manipulation and devastation of  many women who are emotionally and physically damaged by how they are treated and what they observe during the abortion process.

Please also pray for the women who have chosen or will choose to have abortions, that they will find forgiveness and healing through Jesus Christ. Pray that God will one day use these women for His glory to let their stories be told to stop other women from making the wrong choice, and that these women would choose life instead.

Pray for the women who are now contemplating having an abortion, that they will have a change of heart after coming across information that will show them the humanity of their child within their womb. Pray that they will connect with one of the many online support groups that help women through the whole course of their pregnancy, such as ONLINE FOR LIFE. (Click HERE to listen to the stories of the many women who chose life, and even the story of one young woman who regretfully did not).

Some organizations will even help arrange for a woman’s baby to be adopted into a loving family if they choose to give their baby up. Many women who choose to make this difficult choice do so out of a desire to do what’s best for their child.

This is a time when we should not judge these women, but instead we must reach out with the love of Jesus Christ and help them in the midst of their situation so that they will see hope in what may appear to them as a hopeless and very frightening situation.

One thing is for sure. So far, this year has been the darkest one spiritually as we continue to observe the hearts of mankind growing harder and more wicked, and so outright rebellious against a thrice Holy God! It makes many of us who are Christians stop and wonder:

“How long, O Lord, will You continue to be patient and wait until You gather those of us who have placed their trust in Your Son’s finished work on the cross to Yourself, and then begin to pour out Your wrath on an unrepentant world?” 

If you have not yet come to the point of realizing that you are a sinner in need of a Savior — as we all are —  I pray that your eyes would soon be opened to realize the truth. I pray that with godly sorrow in your heart because of all the wrong that you have done against a completely God, you would  turn from your sins to Him, and live in such a way that it will bring glory and honor to Him for all that He did to set you free from the bondage of sin.

SCRIPTURES TO REFLECT ON

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” (James 4:7-10)

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.” (1 Timothy 4:1)

“But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.  For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” (2 Corinthians 11:3,4)

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.  I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel– which is really no gospel at all.  Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.  But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned.  As we have already said, so now I say again:  If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:3-9)

“In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Timothy 4:1-4)

Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? NATIONAL YOGA DAY – DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE YOKING YOURSELF WITH?

Time does not permit me to write a lengthy post today, but since I was recently made aware of the fact that today, June 21st, is National Yoga Day, I wanted to make some information available to those of you who are Christians and have accepted the false belief that “yoga is just stretching exercises that helps to relieve stress,” and therefore you believe that it’s okay to practice yoga.

Here is just some of what you will hear in the following excellent presentation given by Pamela Frost:

– “Yoga literally means to join or to unite the lower self (which would be the human self) with the higher self (which would be the universal divinity). The object with the subject, the worshiper with god; Brahman.”

– ” Yoga also inverts God’s creation of man in His image by turning the body into a pagan temple for the Hindu deities. “During the practice of yoga, the yogan stands both for a cosmos and a pantheon. He incarnates in his own body both Shiva and Shakti.”

– “Hatha yoga is  a system of reversal in which the tantric procedures are intended to construct a new reality for the yogan or yogini in which the practitioner’s body becomes the body of the chosen deity. That is to say it is as the deity that the yogan or yogini becomes one with the supreme deity or godhead, which is sheer being.”

– “Yoga also offers the body a sacrifice to the veda deities.  The breath is offered as a sacrifice to the lord of yoga who is Shiva, the Destroyer of the binary during the breathing exercises.”

– “They understood that while the west was not ready to embrace Hinduism, per se, the poses would appeal to American pragmatism, opening a door through which the full orbed meaning and practice of yoga could easily slip without calling much attention to itself. Yoga is the evangelistic tool to convert one’s world view to the Hindu Vedanta without you really knowing that it’s happening.”

Can yoga be compatible with Christianity? When time allows, if  you take the time to listen to Pamela Frost’s full presentation, and if you are truly a follower of Jesus Christ, there is only one answer to that question –absolutely not!

TESTIMONY TUESDAY

Welcome to another ‘TESTIMONY TUESDAY.’ Lord willing, at least once a month on Tuesdays, whenever I come across a video or an article that either presents a Biblical testimony of someone coming to the understanding  of the true  gospel, or a testimony of someone who was set free from a cult or some form of spiritual deception, etc., I will post it for you with the hope that it will bless and encourage you, and, above all, so that God would receive glory and honor for setting these people free.

It is also my hope and prayer that when I share these testimonies with you on Tuesdays, God will use His Word, and the Biblical truth presented in these testimonies to set many other people free from the same bondage and spiritual deception that the people in the videos and articles I choose to share with you have been set free from.

And now for today’s TESTIMONY TUESDAY:

Warren B Smith was once deeply involved in the New Age Movement. Now he is a follower of Jesus Christ, and he speaks at many conferences warning Christians of the many ways that the New Age/New Spirituality teachings are entering the church and leading many astray. His emphasis is always on making Christians realize just how important it is to test the teachings of ‘Christian’ leaders and the messages in popular books claiming to have a Christian message (such as The Shack) against the truth of God’s Word so they will not be deceived.

Even though he exposes many false teachers and their teachings in his presentations, his messages are always focused on God’s Word and he is quick to point out how Jesus Christ warned about spiritual deception as being one of the signs that would point to His soon return.

I truly appreciate Warren Smith’s dedication to warning believers in Jesus Christ of what is taking place in the name of Christianity today, and I hope and pray that you will listen to his testimony when time allows.

Spiritual deception and mysticism in the church are matters that weigh heavily upon my heart, as well, because of what I have experienced in the past, and because of what I am hearing being discussed in a positive light on Christian radio stations and what I am reading about concerning what is being taught in Spiritual Formation classes at many churches today. Lord willing, I will be writing many posts addressing these matters in the future because you really need to be aware of what is taking place these days so you will not be deceived by these teachings.

Lord willing, I will also be doing reviews on some of the books that Warren Smith has written later on this year, as well as other books on this very important topic. So for those of you who have expressed an interest in seeing book reviews posted on this blog, stay tuned for those.

OUTCRY CHICAGO – THINGS YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO GO

While I was reading what my friends on Facebook had posted one day, Facebook generated some things that I might be interested in reading based on some other articles that I had been reading previously on the Internet, and the above picture that I ‘quick captured‘ for you was one of those things. Seeing Jesus Culture especially caught my attention.

I know that many Christians may have been blessed by the songs of Hillsong United, and Jesus Culture, as well as others appearing at this event, but I wanted to share some important information with you before you make your decision to purchase your tickets if this is an event that you are really interested in attending. All I ask is that you would please pray for discernment, watch the videos below, and then truly seek God concerning your decision to go or not. I pray that you will base your decision upon pleasing God and not make your decision based upon your own desires and what your friends may choose to do. I will be praying that God will open the eyes of many who will choose to watch the following videos so that you will be able to see the truth not only by testing things that you will learn based upon the information you will discover in the videos, but also, and of utmost importance, by testing everything against the truth of God’s Word. The focus of this post will only be on Hillsong United and Jesus Culture.

Let’s start with Hillsong United:

Hillsong United originally started out as part of Hillsong Church’s youth ministry in 1998. Brian Houston is the pastor of Hillsong Church. Recently many became extremely concerned when he announced in one of his messages:

“The Muslim and you, we actually serve the same God.”

Now let’s move on to Jesus Culture:

Jesus Culture started out as a youth outreach ministry at Bethel Church in Redding, California. This is Bill Johnson, the pastor of Bethel Church. In the following video this is some of what you will hear him say:

“I refuse to create a theology that allows for sickness.”

“Did you know that Jesus was born again?” He had to be. He became sin.”

“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

In the footnotes in my Bible concerning Jesus ‘becoming sin for us,‘ it says, “Or be a sin offering.” Jesus did not become sin. He bore our sins upon Himself, but He did not literally become sin as Bill Johnson teaches, along with those in the Word of Faith movement such as Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Benny Hinn, Fred Price, Joyce Meyers, etc.  You can read a very good article exposing this false teaching from Let Us Reason Ministries, HERE. Also, consider watching the Playlist that I added below, entitled ‘Christianity in Crisis‘ in which Hank Hanegraaff has actual recordings of many of the Word of Faith teachers and their blasphemous teachings.

 Please pray for discernment, and also please take a moment to read these Bible verses before you watch the following videos:

“Then the man brought me to the gate facing east, and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with His glory. The vision I saw was like the vision I had seen when He came to destroy the city and like the visions I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown. The glory of the LORD entered the temple through the gate facing east. Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple.” (Ezekiel 43:1-5)

In the following video you will see the glory cloud that allegedly appeared at Bethel Church. As you watch this video, keep the Scriptures above in mind, focusing on the reverent reaction exhibited by  Ezekiel as He saw the glory of the LORD filling the temple. Then compare Ezekiel’s reaction to how the people reacted as they saw this supposed glory cloud. 

This is some of what you will hear Bill Johnson say concerning the glory cloud. Test what he says in light of Scripture:

“The church has been gathering together for decades around a sermon. Israel camped around the presence.” And we’ve known that there are some dramatic shifts that are going to take place in how we do life, and how we do church. The presence of God is the greatest gift we have.”

“And so what’s happening tonight, is the church is camping around the Presence.”

“But finally the main thing has become the main thing.”

Pictured in the video below, is Jenn Johnson, worship leader and song writer for Bethel Music. Both she and her husband are Senior Worship Pastors at Bethel Church. Beginning at the 2:23 minute mark, among the many irreverent and blasphemous things you will hear her say is:

“God to me, Jesus to me, and the Holy Spirit to me, is like the genie from Aladdin.”

“I don’t care. That’s who He is to me. And He’s funny. And He’s sneaky. He’s silly. He’s wonderful. He’s like the wind. He’s all around.”

 

The most serious concern that many have in regards to Jesus Culture, (and other movements such as International House of Prayer (IHOP), Joel’s Army, and The Call, to name a few), is that their focus is on ushering in a great end time ‘revival’  and ‘raising up a generation’ that will ‘change the world.‘ This is the terminology that is used by those who embrace the teachings of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and Dominionism. Their beliefs focus on seeking to get Christians in positions of power  in schools, government, etc., to transform the world in order to usher in the return of Jesus Christ.

I first learned about the New Apostolic Reformation and Dominionism in 2008 after hearing  about Todd Bentley and a ‘revival’ in Lakeland, Florida. Every time I hear the word revival I shudder, because back in 1997 I had to leave an Assembly of God church after 16 years due to the fact that my pastor went to Brownsville, Florida with the intention of bringing the Pensacola revival (with all of its unbiblical manifestations) back to our church! The pastor rejected all of the information and Scriptures that I shared with him, and I was told to leave if I didn’t agree with the direction the church was going in, so I left. However, I learned a lot from that experience. Mainly, I learned to treasure God’s Word more than ever before, because I realized just how accurate God’s Word is to reveal the spiritual deception that is taking place in the name of ‘Christianity,’ and how true it is that even from our own number men will arise and distort the truth. (Luke 21:8, 1 Timothy 4:1, Acts 20:26-31)

New Age drumming. Not much difference, is there?

Below is one of the promotional video for these OUTCRY events. Just listening to what is said in this video should make one realize that these events are about more than just playing worship music and gathering together to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The church, (referred to as the woman), is described as “a movement in progress.“

“Two thousands years ago A movement so significant that the Bible calls it His bride.” 

“This is the dawn of an awakening. These are the lights and sounds of a movement in progress.”

Here is some information that you need to be aware of so that you will not be deceived by those who focus their teachings on the ‘Bride.’

IN CONCLUSION

Now that you’re aware of all of this information concerning Hillsong United, Brian Houston, and Hillsong Church, as well as Jesus Culture, Bill Johnson, and Bethel Church, and if you are truly a follower of Jesus Christ, and desire to stand for Biblical truth, I present this question to you to prayerfully ponder:

Knowing one day that you will stand before a completely Holy God, can you now, in good conscience, still consider going to any of these OUTCRY events?

By what we are witnessing taking place in our world today, it is clear that many are attempting to destroy Biblical Christianity. Everything that God created to reflect His glory to an unbelieving world — such as man, woman, marriage, the family — and even the church —  is slowly, but steadily being changed to reflect man’s corrupt, sinful desires.

Mankind, for the most part, is continuing to reject God’s truth. Therefore, God is beginning to turn them over to the sinful desires of their hearts. (Romans 1:18-32)

Our world is rapidly growing darker spiritually, as well, and it seems as if it is being prepared for the coming of the anti-Christ. The line between paganism and Christianity is becoming blurred, and in the name of ‘unity,’  and because many prominent Christian leaders are promoting having ‘mystical experiences with God’ instead of teaching the Word of God, these unbiblical New Age/New Spirituality practices are now entering the church through Spiritual Formation classes, and through many other ways, as well, and are deceiving thousands of Christians! I pray that you will not be one of them.

I urge you to please constantly pray for discernment, test everything in light of Scripture, and strive to honor God in all that you do.

Examine your heart. Are you truly a follower of Jesus Christ? Have you turned from sin with deep sorrow in your heart for the things you have done that now fill you with shame and regret? Have you placed your complete trust in what Jesus did when He took upon Himself the full wrath of God intended for you and me because of our sins? Have you received His love and forgiveness by placing your trust in the shed blood of Jesus that cleanses us from a guilty conscience so that we may freely serve Him? Do you love to read and study God’s Word? Do you share the good news of the gospel with those who are still in bondage to sin?

Today the focus of many preachers and teachers is becoming more and more about experiencing the presence of God, and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word and sharing the good news of the gospel no longer seems to be of great important. Are you among the many who have been deceived into seeking to have mystical experiences with God because of what you have been hearing from certain pastors and teachers and popular speakers? Or, is it possible that you are one of many today who are attending a church, but have never even heard anyone preach the gospel to you, and you aren’t even aware of the fact that you are a sinner in need of a Savior, as we all are? May I suggest to you to begin reading His Word and pray and ask God to reveal His truth to you. You will come to know Him in a very real way by reading His Word. These mystical practices may seem exciting, but they will lead you into the dark world of the occult and into spiritual deception and bondage.

If you still decide to go to this OUTCRY event after reading all the articles and watching all the videos that I posted for you, I leave you with these final words of warning:

Pray for discernment and listen very carefully especially to what the singers of Jesus Culture and Hillsong  will say to you during their performances/times of ministry. Beware if they say anything to you about ‘becoming a part of the end time revival,‘ or if they tell you that ‘your praise will usher in the return of Jesus.’ Do not allow them to lead you into their false movements, and away from Jesus Christ and Biblical truth. Read and study God’s Word so that you will come to know it so well that you will be able to instantly recognize error as soon as you hear it so that you will never be deceived.

Do they present the gospel? If so, is it a Biblical message that focuses on what Jesus accomplished by His sinless life, and His death, burial, and resurrection?  Do they speak of sin and repentance, making those who are at these events aware of the fact that we are all sinners in need of a Savior? Do they make it clear that Jesus propitiatory sacrifice satisfied God’s wrath that He has towards mankind because of our sin? Or do they announce to the crowd that they can be part of the chosen generation to bring change to the world and to usher in the return of Jesus? Do they speak of the literal return of Jesus, or do they instead focus on experiencing the manifestations of His presence? Do they encourage you to read and study His Word, or do they instead tell you that you can hear God speak to you?

Do they speak about oneness or unity?  Beware if they address the crowd by saying something like:

‘There are people from all different faiths gathered together here worshiping God at this OUTCRY event, and division is not what God wants.’ As followers of Jesus Christ, we cannot unite with people of other religions who preach “another Jesus” or “another gospel.” (Galatians 1:6-9, 2 Corinthians 11:1-4) Unity with other faiths is not the oneness that Jesus spoke of in John Chapter 17. There can only be true unity when it is built upon Jesus Christ and Biblical truth as a solid foundation.

Do not be deceived. God speaks to us through His Word, and He has already spoken to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. There are no new revelations from God. The Canon of Scripture is closed. (Read Hebrews Chapter 1) God’s Word is living and active. (Hebrews 4:12)

Be alert! Remember that Jesus mentioned spiritual deception first when the disciples asked Him what the signs will be to show that He is about to return! (Matthew 24:3-8)

Do not allow your emotions to shut down your ability to think. Taking part in an event like this in which you are surrounded by  thousands of other people can be an exhilarating experience, so be on your guard! Music is a powerful force and can manipulate our feelings, so don’t be distracted; be discerning. If you are truly a follower of Jesus Christ and not a follower of any man (or woman), always choose to take a stand for Biblical truth –no matter what — and ‘earnestly contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.’ (Jude 3)

Jesus may be coming sooner than any of us could ever imagine. Will you be ashamed at His coming? Or will you walk in the truth and be found waiting and ready?

“It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”                   (3 John 1:3,4)

WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY

Welcome to another post in a new series of posts that I will be doing (Lord willing) at least once a month on Wednesdays so that I can make you all aware of some important information that I come across on the Internet that you may not have heard about. I have been trying to think of something that I could write on a regular basis that would be short and to the point (at least I’ll try to be), and since I am a detective-at-heart and desire to make you all aware of the importance of testing things that pastors and teachers say (and do) in light of Scripture (Acts 17:11), the idea to do these posts — as well as the name — came to my mind in November of 2014, based on Acts 20:26-31:

So with that in mind, here is what I’d like to share with you in today’s WARNING YOU WITH TEARS WEDNESDAY:

 

In light of what is taking place in many churches today in the name of ‘Spiritual Formation,’ this is certainly a real possibility of how to interpret Matthew 24:5, and I would definitely consider it to be: THE ULTIMATE NEW AGE DECEPTION– (Lighthouse Trails Research)

When I first became a Christian in 1980 I learned that occult messages were inserted into many songs, and even though you couldn’t audibly hear the occult messages when played normally, the messages were said to still be implanted into a person’s subconscious mind. Through a technique called ‘backwards masking,’ alternative sounds can be created and heard when the audio is played forwards and backwards. If a song  was played forwards you would hear one message, and if the same song was played backwards, you could actually hear  an occultic message! Here’s a video on the subject with an explanation given by a very young Pastor Joe Schimmel:

 

These days, however, they don’t have to resort to backwards masking. Now you can hear many of the blatantly occultic messages simply by listening to them played normally! Below is one I found after I saw something about “CYBER” that was randomly generated on Facebook as something they thought I might be interested in checking out. When I did a ‘search’ thinking it was a new movie, what I discovered instead was the following video. Be warned! Parents, please check out what your kids and teens are listening to, because this type of high-energy, electronic music that excites the brain and shuts down the thinking process is used at many music festivals to subliminally indoctrinate our youth, as you will hear in this video:

And in this video, of ‘Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike 2014 Live at Tomorrowland,’ when time allows, consider listening mainly to what is said concerning “unity” and “illumination” to the crowd at the very beginning of the video until the 2:15 minute mark. I do not like posting videos like this on my blog, but I found that it was necessary for you to see exactly what takes place at some of these music festivals. Be warned! If you continue to watch, you will hear many obscenities and observe drinking lines where alcohol is given to everyone to drink as they become entranced by the music, unaware of the new age occult messages that are beginning to reshape their thinking and their world view:

As you will soon see, the evil in this one is quite obvious and very disturbing!

If you are a frequent reader of this blog, — thank you very much if you are — then you have probably read some of the many posts that I have written in order to alert all of you to the fact that mysticism is entering the church in many different forms (more posts to come on the subject, by the way), and I will continue to speak out and expose these false teachings because I will not be part of: The Silent Church And The “Gospel” of the New Spirituality – (Lighthouse Trails Research) – The article was written by Warren B Smith who is one of my favorite Christian authors and speakers. (Lord willing, I hope to do some book reviews later this year on some of his books that I have, as well as other books that I have purchased, all of which I have not had the time to read yet because of how hectic my life has been lately). Some of you may have read my post, THE SEDUCTION OF THE SUPERNATURAL – DO NOT BE DECEIVED,  in which I shared the frightening account of what happened to me after I began to get involved with the occult before I became a Christian. I shared how my involvement began by reading books written by occultists who were able to get in touch with spirits through the practice of ‘automatic writing’ and how I attempted to do that but failed (thankfully) to receive any messages. I went on to share with you how I also began ‘playing’ with a Ouija board and went into detail concerning the frightening things that not only happened to me as a result of playing this so-called ‘game,’ but also the frightening things that I observed one day as I played it, and what I came to realize after becoming a Christian and repenting of taking part in those occult activities; occult practices that God warns us against in His Word! Well, to get to the point, two weeks ago I began to see many people on Facebook posting about something very similar to a Ouija board that is also being presented as a ‘game,’ and I wanted to warn all of you about it so that you can be sure to warn your children in the hope that they will stay away from it, because I can see this game being played at ‘sleepover parties,’ just as occult type games were played at the sleepover parties that I went to when I was young and didn’t know any better. The ‘game’ is  called CHARLIE, CHARLIE and it’s a “Ouija board-like challenge that has youth trying to summon a demon.” (Posted by Berean Research. Article written by Marsha West).

Pope Francis’ diabolical deceptive statement blaming the devil for Keeping Evangelicals and Roman Catholics Divided – (Lighthouse Trails Research) As a former Catholic who attended twelve years of Catholic school and went through Catechism classes and attended many thousands of masses, and who came to understand the true gospel by reading a Catholic New Testament, I can tell you that it’s: standing for Biblical truth without compromising in any way and rejecting the false teachings of Catholicism that is keeping Evangelicals and Roman Catholics divided! There can be no unity with those who preach another Jesus and another gospel! Lord willing, in the Fall I hope to be finished writing the post that I started working on that focuses on this subject, and I will then share it with you. The title of this post will be:

Catholics are taught that when the Pope speaks ex-cathedra (from the chair), that his teachings on faith and morals are infallable, but Is The Pope Infallible? (‘Got Questions’ posted this on Facebook).

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) However, many people are being deceived in so many ways by being told false information on how a person can enter heaven. Including PURCHASING A GOLDEN TICKET THAT YOU CAN SHOW AT THE PEARLY GATES (Saw this story posted on Facebook.  – Article – KDON radio).

I’ll end all of these disturbing warnings with something good, so that I can point all of you to God and give Him glory, for He is SO worthy to be praised!

How can any person continue to deny the existence of God after learning  how each part of the human body functions?  Just read this article about the EYE. It gives so much evidence that each of us has been  created by an  amazing Designer who pays such careful attention to every single detail!
